I am sad to hear the news:( I have never subscribed but bought from her numerous times. I loved her papers and embellishments and will miss her releases. I will need to do my last shopping hoorah when she releases her Christmas kit to get some items from last collections. I wish her the best in the future. It’s tough for small business in this economy. Sad to see another scrapbooking company closing:(

So sad! I've been using a lot of my FJ supplies lately and loving it.

Ugh! I wish I would have bought the grab bag last sale! I would imagine they would have a closing shop sale??

It's disappointing they're closing, I really like their papers, especially their b&w prints which I've used in my DD the last couple of years, and love they use a bright white background. I agree the designs are recycled and recoloured, but they are a good fit for the way I scrap so I'll miss them. Due to the exorbitantly high shipping costs I usually only order once a year, and talked myself out of buying anything during their birthday sale (I couldn't get past the AUD $100+ shipping cost) so I'm hoping they have some good sales as they close up shop and I can pick up some last pieces.

I also didn't 'get' the doll theme. Or the refusal to use a true red at Christmas. I agree with those statements completely. I loved her stuff so my first year doing DD I was so excited to see their Christmas kit, but the tomato juice red was so disappointing. Also, the dolls included with each kit were wasted on me.

Oh yes, those girls, such a waste of die cut space. Thankfully I've got a scrappy friend who takes them from me, but I would have preferred more usable die cuts instead.

On the Instagram announcement she said they would be keeping the trademark and looking forward to new and different things this year. I wonder she has in mind.

I'm sad to lose another choice, but was planning to cancel my subscription. I have enough of a stash of FJ papers and embellishments that I need to use up.
I'm hoping maybe she'll do a quarterly release or something in the future.

(I couldn't get past the AUD $100+ shipping cost) Oooof! That's brutal. I know paper is heavy and Australia is far but that's just too much. Most people in the US get shitty if they have to pay $10 for shipping! I've had someone message me about an item I was selling online because they thought $6-8 was too much to pay to ship it across the country. (eye roll) I saw someone else comment that FJ's shipping charges seemed out of proportion to what they were buying. I'm not sure if they didn't have accurate weights and sizes on their items or what, but that kind of thing can kill your business.

I can second the ridiculous shipping costs from fj stopping me from ordering many times in the past (and have commented in the past on 2peas about it!) I expect $30 or so shipping charges if I get a larger order from other suppliers, but I remember one time I had a sticker sheet and some die cuts in my cart (would easily fit into an envelope with a stamp kind of size) and the shipping was $25 or something ridiculous like that! I try and support smaller stores, but it’s hard to when I can get three albums and five kg of supplies from scrapbook.com shipped for the same price as a couple of sticker sheets! Might do one last purchase…but will wait to see the shipping cost!!! Looks like a nope for now, added the new ivy house die cut and postage is $19.34 usd. W. T. F.

Ditto for me with the high shipping costs stopping me from buying. There were so many times when I was about to buy what was in my cart but the shipping price was so crazy that I just stopped looking at the website at all. It's a shame because I did really like a lot of the stuff.
I can't figure out why she couldn't negotiate better prices from shipping companies. Personally, I think that was probably the key to keeping things going.

It is always sad to see another scrappy company close up shop I was never a subscriber, but I bought some items from her sales, and the paper is great quality. FJ also has some great basics for DD and other interactive-heavy album projects—the Cardstock Dividers from all of the Christmas lines are an especially good value—much better price point than AE’s DD dividers, I stocked up (the Holly set of Dividers is a great basic, and also great for Disney albums). The FJ DD number sets are also really nice, and a better price point than those offered by AE.

It's super sad that another scrapbook company is shutting down. But I think that those shipping costs drove a lot of people away. I lost track of how many times I'd fill my cart and then get a shipping total only to delete the whole thing. Being in Canada and having to pay the exchange and high shipping costs made it worse. Sure some of her prices were a bit cheaper for a DD kit but when I would factor in $50 worth of shipping, it made AEs seem like a good deal!

I love FJs pricing - the IVY kit is stuffed with everything you need. As long as you are in the US, shipping is reasonable - just under $14 for me...sad she is closing. I picked up a few items that I probably would have skipped for another year.

Just to see I put the Ivy kit and an album in my cart...$71 shipping!!! Total cost is $166 US. With exchange it would cost me $230 Canadian. Yeah that's a pass!

I am in the US and when there was a FJ sale last year, I remember the shipping being extremely unreasonable. I am willing to pay $14 or whatever, but it was much much higher than that. I did not place the order. Their stuff seems cute but I can see how it is extremely repetitive if you have a subscription.

Yeah, her shipping was beyond insane. I had a huge cart full of stuff during the birthday sale. It was mostly small stuff but there was a lot of it. Being small,no albums,it could've fit in a box smaller than a shoebox.
I'm in PA so shipping within the US. I don't recall the exact numbers, but I didn't place the order as the shipping was a few dollars less than the product costs. I even thought maybe there was a mistake so I tried again. The shipping was slightly less (?!) but still ridiculously high. I have no idea how she calculates the shipping.
Sad to see FJ close but completely understandable.

I never subbed but shopped a lot of sales and dd/holiday. She always had unique and usable embellishments and stamps. I didn’t shop regularly, but I will miss her shop.

Most of the store is now 50% off instead of 30%. Shipping is still high, but the deeper discounts help offset that in my mind, at least for US shipping. No discount on the new Christmas stuff though.
I picked up a lot of great alphas and embellishments. Sad she’s closing.

I grabbed 4 albums, 50% off is pretty good, knowing the quality is nice. The shipping was high, as I expected. I really like her black/white patterns.
