We have an Alaskan cruise booked for September, going with my dad who has wanted to take me and my husband on a cruise for a long time (husband has spent most of the last 3.5 years in Afghanistan so our travel opportunities had been limited in the couple of years before COVID). But that’s still on hold of course . I wouldn't count on taking the Alaskan cruise as all of Canadian ports are closed until 2022. Just heard this on the news. I would call and check on the ports of call on your cruise.

We’re keeping our deposit with the cruise line and will likely go somewhere else next spring if things don’t change with the Canadian ports or the cruise line regulations by September.

I could have sworn I posted in this thread yesterday but cant find it.
Yes, we are traveling out of state. We had this trip planned last year and rescheduled it because of Covid. We had one year to rebook so we booked it. Im looking forward to it. We also plan on going to see my son in Hawaii this fall.

If we can get vaccinated by early fall, we will. If not, we'll wait until we do.

We are planning a trip to Utah in June, after dd graduates high school. I want to explore the beautiful parks before we are too old and/or out of shape to hike. I had Covid-19 in September and am a little short of breath with activity. I'm improving each month. We're both vaccinated and dd has antibodies right now.

I voted other. My DH's extended family wants to plan a trip to Missouri this summer since we missed the holidays with them. I can pretty much guatantee you we won't be vaccinated yet although most of them will be. It's going to be a lot of family pressure but it's premature for our sutuation unless something changes.

You mean, am I expecting the world to be out of the toilet before 2022? Uhm, no. This. I'm not planning any travel for the next year.

Probably the shows. They aren’t open right now. We have called our hotel and the pools are open, but that’s not really something we place a priority on. We’re more worried about having enough time than enough to do. But I mean, we are traveling there specifically for the opening of an art exhibit, so we probably aren’t the typical Vegas tourists. My DH and I have been before and have done the Grand Canyon from Vegas, so I’m familiar with everything. Did you visit their Santa Re venue? Please return to share or compare the two after your visit. Visiting the Santa Fe venue was one of our 2020 trips that got cancelled during COVID. They closed early in COVID and still haven’t reopened. The two locations aren’t supposed to be a lot alike (different installations with different artists, but the same idea of a hands on, interactive modern art installations by multiple artists).

I will drive from Texas to our cottage in Michigan, just like every year. Last year I was gone from the third week of June until the middle of October, which is by far the longest I've ever stayed, but I really enjoyed it.

We are doing what we did last summer. We got a seasonal site at a lake seasonal campground and parked our RV there and spent every weekend and a couple of weeks out there. I'm excited to do the same thing again. We stayed away from the beach because there were too many people, and we've been isolating the past 11 months, but it was wonderful anyway. I haven’t finished reading all the replies, but what? What is this? I’ve never heard of this. I thought all the campsites have some rule about how stays can’t extend x days (30?). Even snowbirds have to move sites every 30 days. I’m in California and have only traveled with my trailer to California and Nevada. What state is this? Is it a privately run site? We love our seasonal campsite in Wisconsin. We’ve made some great friends through the years. We’ve added a deck and have a nice fire pit area. It’s so nice to have everything set up. Do a search for seasonal campgrounds in the area you would like stay. Some campgrounds do have time limits for how long you can stay.

We will both be vaccinated and at full strength by Mar. 10. We are going to Ohio that day to see my 90-year old mother (who is also fully vaccinated). We have only seen her once in 14 months, which was for my dad's funeral in August. She is SO excited we are coming. It has been hard for her being all alone, quarantining and grieving at the same time.
We are also going to Florida after we visit her. A week at a hotel with warm weather...we will still only eat outside, stay away from others, etc. but will have less worries having been vaccinated. Then this spring we will be camping but that is a very solo activity for us since we don't go with others.
And then finally, (Hopefully!) my DH will be able to finish his Appalachian Trail hike. He has been section hiking for the last several years and only has 600 and some miles to go. He REALLY wants to get it done and I do too. It is hard putting our lives on hold for a few months each year to plan for him to be gone hiking.

We have a house with a view and a pool booked in the summer. We can get there in a long days drive. We'll pretty much stay in and eat most our meals in too. We've been to the area most summers so it doesn't.matter what is open or closed we're just looking for sunshine and swimming.

Things are too much up in the air to plan anything concrete, but I’ve been doing a little fantasizing about places I want to go when things are in better control. We lost our entire payment for our beach house rental last year, so looking to avoid that.

Before covid we talked about going to Italy this year but that’s been put off. We are considering a cabin for a week or so.

yes, we're headed to Florida for a delayed Universal vacation. I'm fully prepared to cancel (again) DH is not. I suspect we'll have to be masked when not in our room, and I'm not sure I'm ok with that.
If we do have to cancel, we'll take a short trip back to Branson to get us out of the house for a couple of days. We did that in August, just to get out of the house and were able to rent a house and bring in our own food. It really was a great trip even if it wasn't what we had planned.

SO is working in Mexico, so I'm flying down there so we can do a little beach vacation for his birthday. We also have our usual cabin booked in CO for August. Nothing planned beyond that.

Up on the North Shore of Lake Superior right now. Another visit up here in July with family who will all be vaccinated by then, as will I. Also in July I will be flying to Seattle to see my vaccinated brother.

I've set up a few reservations for special occasions but made sure they are all 100% cancelable. I wanted to have things booked in case we're actually able to travel freely and cross state lines with no restrictions, but I'm in the "expecting the worst but hoping for the best" stage right now. On the side of optimism, I've booked a safari in Kenya for May of 2022 .

I picked no, but not going on a vacation is the norm for us. It's been at least a decade since I went on a proper sleep away from home vacation.

Santa Fe Meow Wolf is incredible. I didnt realize Las Vegas was getting one. We will have to check it out.

We are taking COVID very seriously and are respecting all CDC guidelines. We cancelled a trip to Paris and Rome last summer and have airfare credits that will expire September 2022. If we are all vaccinated and things are better, we might consider travelling in the fall. But our Paris/Rome trip will not take place until 2022.
We lost my mother in law to COVID. It's horrible to say your last goodbyes through Facetime. I will do everything I can to keep cases down until more people are vaccinated.
