More new GOP.......... All their own rules..... Lauren Boebert Reimbursed Herself $23k From Campaign Coffers. Ethics Experts Have Some QuestionsWED, FEB 3RD, 2021 BY TODD NEIKIRK Since they were both elected to congress in November it seems like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene have taken turns generating new controversies. Taylor Greene, obviously has taken the lead with the multiple allegations made against her. But a new story about Boebert has emerged. Ethics experts are calling for an investigation into mileage reimbursement the Colorado congresswoman paid to herself from her campaign coffers. According to a report from the Denver Post: “The Colorado GOP lawmaker wrote two checks totaling $22,259 from her campaign accounts for mileage between January and mid-November. To justify those reimbursements, Boebert would have had to drive 38,712 miles while campaigning, despite having no publicly advertised campaign events in March, April or July, and only one in May. Furthermore, because the reimbursements came in two payments — a modest $1,060 at the end of March and $21,200 on Nov. 11 — Boebert would have had to drive 36,870 miles in just over seven months between April 1 and Nov. 11 to justify the second payment.” ** www.politicususa.com/2021/02/03/lauren-boebert-reimbursed-herself-23k-from-campaign-coffers-ethics-experts-want-to-know-why.html

A couple of days ago Rachel talked about the latest from this evolving political party. It seems the party had to return $120+M in donations. They did so because they sort of tricked their donors into automatically donating over and over again.
Here’s the latest. This is on their “begging for money” email that is also, IMO, a threat.

There really are no words!!! Axios reported on Wednesday that the younger Giuliani -- who served in the Trump White House as a Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of the Office of Public Liaison -- is ready to make the leap into office-holding with an eye on the governor's seat in Albany. Considering his lack of experience and all the baggage his father would bring to the campaign, Twitter commentators were ready to get out the popcorn and watch the battle begin with the combative Cuomo. As one commenter stated, "This will be fun to watch." ** www.rawstory.com/andrew-giuliani-new-york-governor/

"We’ve watched absolute depravity wash across our politics over the last few decades, promoted by the same politicians who wave a religious banner to get votes. It ranges from a stolen election in 2000, to being lied into two wars, and having four years of a presidency with nothing to show for it except a tax cut for billionaires, the destruction of international relationships, and 500,000 dead Americans. We had a president who raped women; made fun of mentally disabled people; tried to take away Obamacare, Social Security, Medicare, food stamps and unemployment from American citizens; and intentionally tore America apart racially and religiously just for money and power. He ripped children from their mother’s arms on the border, and then tortured those kids for years, killing at least seven of them. He called Nazi white supremacists “very fine people,” tried to eliminate healthcare for poor Amerians, and vilivied refugees — all in the name of Christianity. Prominent among the mob that attacked the US Capitol on January 6 were “Jesus 2020“ flags and Christian iconography. One group carried a large wooden cross, and hundreds of people knelt to pray before attacking the capitol on that terrible day." hartmannreport.com/p/can-depraved-evangelical-christianity

This should be taped on every refrigerator as a daily reminder of our moral obligation and patriotic duty. Accepting these people “despite” their Trumpism is not “forgiveness” or “tolerance”. It is aiding and abetting. It is weakness. It is guilt on your part.

Reacting to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) encouraging protesters to stay on the streets and demand justice for Black Americans killed by police, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO accused the Democrat of trying to "incite a riot" which led to a flood of commenters noting her part in the Jan 6th Capitol siege that had lawmakers fleeing for their lives. www.rawstory.com/boebert-riot/

This speaks volumes to me about what the current Republicans stand for. No civility, no bipartisanship, no being polite and working together to make this country better for all. Compromise is not part of their platform nor is it part of their vocabulary. They have no platform other than stonewalling anything that doesn't benefit big business or their own personal pocketbooks. I also realize that there are Democrats who behave the same way, but it is far more prevalent in the GOP and they are far more vocal about it.

It is well documented the Republican Party has become the Party of spreading conspiracy theories, misinformation, and outright lying.
And now they are trying to pass laws that will stop social media from banning politicians if they should spread misinformation, conspiracy theories, and outright lies.
Think about this for a minute, Politicians know when they are lying, spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories and now they are moving to stop business from holding them accountable by not letting them spread this stuff on their platform.
Think about all the damage that was done to this country by the lies and misinformation spread about COVID-19 and the election and most of it was done by politicians.

Oh how things change!! Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Monday requested additional information regarding potential conflicts of interests related to John Kerry, President Biden's special envoy for climate, and his previous involvement in finance and energy investing after he left his last government post as secretary of State. In a letter to current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Grassley wrote that it is “unclear exactly what matters Mr. Kerry has been barred from working on and whether he has received any waivers for specific matters that he would otherwise be recused from,” according to Axios, which obtained a copy of the letter. “The operation of good government requires faithful adherence to ethical rules,” Grassley added.thehill.com/homenews/house/551613-grassley-asks-blinken-to-provide-potential-conflicts-involving-john-kerryBut of course Blinken, Biden should have vetted Kerry 100%. Kerry seems to have given lists of his 'connections' as listed in the article, but I just wanted to point out how Grassley is asking for faithful adherence to ethical rules. Who did he ask about the last 4 years.. Didn't care much then!!

Can you imagine a political party against ethic’s reform?
Never mind voters reform but to actively work against ethics reform sends what kind of message?
