Harry & Meghan Oprah Interview Tonight

I might. It just depends on how much time I have. I remember watching Diana's in the 90s and being really shocked by what she said.

Harry and Meghan....

Yeah, this about sums it up for me.  I'm interested in the royal family when they are acting like royals.  I'm not interested in them when they are acting like dime a dozen reality tv stars.  And I have never been a fan of Oprah.  The fact that she is their personal friend removes any shred of legitimacy this interview could have had for me.

That's a feeling have too, and by not being British won't have such an inherent understanding of their role and place in our society. I guess if it was a British interviewer someone would say they are automatically biased.

I just wish they weren't washing their dirty linen in public. Be upset, be incensed, be whatever you want but sort it out privately.

I am going to watch. I am not a fan of Megan's but have a softspot for Harry. I do feel its a bit hypocritical of her and harry to be so anti media but then have no issues talking about how awful his family is on TV. At the end of the day its still his family and i fear this will be a nail in the coffin for him and William having a good relationship.

I have it set to record so I’ll watch it at some point. I’m glad Harry got out of there and I just don’t get the Harry/Megan hate.

As I’ve said before, I know little about the royals...I’ve only watch season 1 of the crown. 😂 However, its 2021, they need to modernize the hell out of the business/family/establishment or whatever it’s called.

You bet! I think it will be interesting. I find Meghan quite articulate? so not sure where the inarticulate comment came from. She might be a bit TOO articulate, as I think she likes to spin things a bit. I'm neither pro or con H and M, but want to hear their story. Not sure it's their 'truth" or not...

It will be interesting to see if the Queen comes out with a statement. Do you think they got to see the interview before hand?

It came from watching the clips of the interview. She just says “uh” and “ummmm” and plays with her hair without forming any actual sentences in all the clips I’ve seen so far.

She's too classy to do that PLUS her husband is still in the hospital. I think this interview will be the nail in the coffin so to speak for Harry and Meghan. Just shut up and live your lives. 

I'm going to record it to watch at some point. I'm not really into the royals and I don't know very much about them but I think this could be interesting.

Come on. Seems like tit for tat IMO. I read or watched something a couple of days ago that mentioned the fact that by doing this they've broken with all past protocols for making statements in the past. It also was mentioned that this opens the Royals up to more "HR" type complaints becoming Public because now they can't stand by past protocols without looking like hypocrites. I don't pretend to understand The Royals, but I thought it was an interesting commentary.

I think whatever they say will be THEIR truth. Not everyone will agree with it, but it'll be the way they see things.
