Okay, finished one more layout for the day.
It went a totally different direction than I had imagined it would. I started with (8.5x11") white cardstock background, two vertical 4x6" pics at the top, then dabbed dark blue ink in a stripe across the bottom. Added a navy/cosmos/starry Echo Park "You are my greatest adventure" tag.I Then a pearlized light blue fussycut tag with the names & date. Then punched three small butterflies from the same cs, and put them flying away from the tags. Drew on dotted motion lines frombthe butterflies to the tags. Added enamel dots.
The whole layout is white and shades of blue (other than parts of the pics.

Does anyone have a really good sketch using 6x6 papers for a 12x12 LO? I was looking for something by Allison Davis, (she had been mentioned) but can't seem to find anything...TIA!!
ETA, am finding a few things!

Wow! I stepped away for a couple of hours and this place exploded! and I still had not caught up on page TWO! Linda, I love the reds with those photos in Rodeo, snd that horse shoe on the bandana is a nice touch. The bright yellows and the butterfly are perfect for a college drop off after spring break. sleepingbooty, your planner page is so clean and simple, yet has a great impact. Love the stamped(?) wipes as an embellishment. And on to Page THREE: Linda, that kitty page is adorable. I love the look of fabric in the background and the pops of pink. And again a great colour combo with the red/navy. When I was a student, "going out" was indeed a small luxury, only experienced when family was in the city. Then it became much more common for everyone. And now, here we are, seeing a meal "out" as something really special. Those peacock photos are beautiful. And, as always, you have used the perfect pp with them. And more pefection with that second planner page, sleepingbooty. I love the impact of each little detail: the shopping cart, the mask... LavenderLayoutLady, I am glad you got some inspiration from that sketch. And I am glad you felt free to let your page go where it wanted to go. I had totally planned to include a little cluster in the top corner, but MY page wouldn't let me LOL. Okay, off to start supper...

Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? 1. I like Simple Stories vintage collections! 2. Well, last year I scrapped more than ever and tried different papercrafting projects. I have really been more adventurous and creative during the pandemic. 3. I like listening to YouTube videos while I work. I started Jane Austin's Emma from 1972 and I love working while it is on.

Thanks sleepingbooty it was a pretty wild year. & hopefully I embrace the 9x12 or chuck it and go back to 12x12. Loved the Midnight Library. You see the ending coming a mile away, but that didn't bother me. I thought the questions it raises, about mental health, regrets, life choices were all intriguing and well written. I love magical realism fiction and this book delivered. There were some sections that veer a little cheesy/self-helpy but I was sufficiently entertained and sad when I finished.

Friday AMA:
1. New product: It's "new' to me- Paige Evans Bloom Street. I planted a garden for the first time this year, so I am excited to use Bloom Street to document that!
2. I definitely scrapped A LOT MORE in the past year. And I documented a lot of more "minor" day-to-day events and activities.
3. I am making the crop extra fun just by participating! I haven't participated on the boards in a while.
Now for this work day to end so I can start scrapping...

Sorry, late to the game, see answers for AMAs below. So excited to participate in my first online Peas scrap weekend! Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? I am still going through years worth of supplies to downsize and organize, so I will be taking some time to tackle patterned paper organization. I also just finished going through a bunch of untouched Scraptastic and Studio Calico pocket scrapping kits, so will be putting all the like-with-like embellies away. But I also hope to finish some work on the scrapbook for our big trip to Scotland in 2018.2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? My dh (who has asthma) just got an appt for his first vaccine shot on 3/27, which is excellent news. My dd, who works in a grocery store, is eligible for the vaccine, but having trouble getting an appointment. Hopefully she will get one soon. My ds and I aren't eligible yet, but we have pre-registered, so hopefully before the end of the summer. DC has been *horrible* with its vaccine roll out system, but hopefully will get it together when more vaccine is available.3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? I am somewhat new to stamping and card making and really want to try my hand at ink blending and water coloring backgrounds for cards and/or pocket pages.Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? I had pre-ordered the Pinkfresh Studio Some Days and Keeping It Real collections from ACOT and finally received them last week. I look forward to playing with these beautiful collections from two of my favorite designers 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? One of the (only) silver linings of Covid lockdown has been the fact that both of my college-aged kids have been home doing remote schooling, so I actually have photos of them that I would not ordinarily have, and they have been home for birthdays and small celebrations, so I look forward to scrapping those. We also have a bazillion photos of my dog that I will now be putting into her own, dedicated album 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? I plan to put aside the spring cleaning and supply organizing for a while and just SCRAP. I may or may not eat some Easter candy and watch YT scrappy videos with my noise cancelling headphones on

Friday AMA:1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? I've recently come to the conclusion that I need a new score board, so while looking/ordering one of those, I'll check out the new stuff and see if there are any add-ons I "need", LOL. I have a fairly large stash of paper, and don't generally pay attention to the latest/trendy new collections. But if I'm already in the market for something specific, I'll look and get something if it catches my eye. I'll update after I've peeked at the new stuff!2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? DH and I have been WFH for 1 year and counting, so I have a little more time in my day to devote to crafting. I've taken up watercolor (started late 2019 so just before the pandemic started) and I'm using it more in my cardmaking. (Plus since we're not going out and about or getting together with family in person, there are more occasions to send cards.) As for scrapbooking themes, I'm mostly working on the same types of stuff I worked on before (travel/vacations and family events), so COVID has not made it's way into any layouts yet. We did get 2 cats since DH, DS (college student attending virtually) and I are home all the time now so there will be some pages about the kitties...and they're somewhat COVID-related: we wouldn't have gotten them if we weren't all home all the time.3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? Not sure yet! I just finished my workday a couple of hours ago and I'm getting ready to make dinner & watch a hockey game on TV. Then I'll clean off my scrapbook table (it's kind of a mess with the remnants of recent cardmaking) to be ready for later tonight (post-hockey) or tomorrow morning. The fun will be in scrapping virtually with the peas! :-)
grammadee - 3rd post!

It's still reasonably early on Saturday morning and you guys are already up to four pages, I clearly have to get my butt in gear! Thursday's AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? I have heaps of options since I picked up the last of my 2019 holiday photos last weekend but I feel like doing some PL pages today. 2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? They only started rolling out the vaccine here about a month ago and not even my mum, who works in aged care, has been vaccinated yet. No idea when they'll get to any of my family or me, but given we have the virus relatively under control I'm not too worried about how long it might take. Aside from which, I don't do well with needles and injections so the longer I don't have to think about that the better. 3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? I have been crushing on Cocoa Vanilla a lot over the last 18 months, despite not liking their latest collection. I'm also loving using some of my older supplies and cutting into no longer in existence brands with wild abandon. Friday's AMA: 1. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? I have a bunch of the new pinkfresh in my cart at sb.com. I'm not in a rush to buy, I first need to finish my 50 layouts/no shopping challenge, and I'd like to use some more stash up first. 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? I've been taking a similar amount of photos to prior years, trying to remember to capture the things that are different now from prior years. I lost one of my cats last year and I'm so glad I was home for the few months prior because I have so many more photos of her than I otherwise would. I usually only do PL once every four years (the burnout is strong for me on that project) and last year was the year, but I've kept it going into 2021 because there are still so many little things about life now that I think would be overlooked in a different format. 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? Well I bought snacks (dark choc and raspberry tim tams) but my DH and I finished them off last night while watching the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal documentary on netflix. I purchased a ticket to the Flogging Molly St Patrick's day live stream which I haven't watched yet and Dropkick Murphy's also had a livestream so I'll crank those up this weekend.

I would like to use more of my 6x8 and 6x6 pads in my scrappin, too. I have been using them in my TN and the they work well there. Your "Tropical" lo looks great! I wish we could all be there soon! Linda the sisters page is so pretty, I love how bright and fresh it looks with that yellow & white combo. The stickers on the rodeo page are so perfect, I love the bandanna print in the background of them. I love the kitty page, I'm a sucker for cat pages and yours are so adorable. I really love the geometric background on this. The colours in the St Augustine dinner page work so perfectly with your photos and I love the repeated anchor embellishments. The peacock paper is so gorgeous and works so beautifully with those fabulous photos. sleepingbooty I love those tiny slivers of pp, just the perfect pop of pattern @kendramage I love that tropical paper with these photos, and how those pops of pink pull out the colour in the flower.

I'm free!!!The weekend and the crop are here. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about?A lot of the new announcements were just "meh" to me. But I'm so looking forward to the Vicky Boutin pre-order I made. I'm loving just staring at my new Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed. And I'm waiting for a Lawn Fawn Die - 2 stitched suns - I don't normally order their products because I find their price point high, but stitched suns are impossible for me to pass up! How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways?I've scrapped more, and I've really enjoyed the addition of online crops!!! I don't think that would ever have happened without 2020. And for me, an introvert who likes having her WHOLE stash available, this is preferable to an in-person crop! How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself?Lots of coffee...or it may be a few trips to Starbucks for icy coffee drinks since this weekend is promising SUNSHINE and WARMTH! I will probably need to go for a couple of walks each day because this is some of the first gorgeous weather we've seen. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? 1. making several "you are awesome" type cards to say a light "thank you" to several people in my life 2. playing with pop up sketches!!! 3. starting my 2017 December Daily: goal - pick supplies, organize photos, print out journal, complete 4 days Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY?My first shot was New Year's Eve 2020. It gives my strange pleasure to know I got my shot in the same year the pandemic started. I know I was lucky: I snuck in with the ICU/covid ward front line staff who were first invited. I work in those wards every 3 weekends, so I wasn't immediately invited but I pointed out that I am the person who could easily SPREAD it into the other wards, and they were happy to take me. As a physio, we are up close and personal with our patients. I am pleased to say that not one of our hospital PTs, OTs, PTAs, or OTAs, has tested positive despite our exposure. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? I'm trying to dig into my stash of 20 years! There is still so much gold in there and it deserves to see the light of day.

@kendramage was talking about 2 page layout sketches using 6x6 papers... I've had this one saved for a while. It's an Allison Davis sketch/example. So many photo size options. So many clusters. FABULOUS title placement. You could leave the squares blank and use washi to create the diagonal squares. You could stitch. You could use a black background. You could use scraps or the intended, dreaded, 6x6 paper pads. So lets use it as our 2ND POP UP SKETCH CHALLENGEwalking from alison davis by kirstendrew, on Flickr

1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? Well I’m not looking for any new paper right now. I already bought the everyday explorers dig parent stamp and I’ve been using it since it arrived Wednesday. And I’m looking forward to my paper person release but that will take forever to get here. I want to get the new hero arts stack of books stamp but only if my LSS gets it in I already asked her for it. 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? My PL is pretty thin and I haven’t even done any this year. I think for now I’ve switched to event documenting in pocket pages and not dividing by months or anything. 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? I’ve got TV on in the background. Maybe I’ll pop in to one of the crops if my wifi cooperates. Got some treats from the store? Sippin some baileys right now. Got a furry companion by your side? As always. His surgery is next Friday so I’m just letting him to any darn thing that he wants.

I've had such a busy week at work, this is the first time I've been able to check in to this thread.
1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop?
I'm thinking that I need to get back to my Project Life. I did a great job keeping up during January, but I haven't done a page since.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine?
No, the rollout here is very slow, but seeing we only have 3 active cases in my state of 6.6 million people, I'm not too worried about how long it's going to take. I only know three people personally who have had the shot - one is a doctor, one is a nurse, and one is a paramedic.
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product?
I am loving on Just Jaimee at the moment. She's the designer who does the templates that I'm using for my Project Life pages. I also love her monthly kits and add-ons. And she offers up her old kits for 50% off every Wednesday at The Lilypad, so I am building a nice collection.

1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? I just received my Cherry on Top pre-order of the Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed collection, and I love every bit of it! I just bought the Spring Garden collections from Heartfelt Creations, mostly because I love Daffodils and Hyacinth flowers. I got the "I want it all" set. 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? I finally started my Travel album and am enjoying reliving our trips while we're stuck at home.
Well, my story is long, but due to family stress and the need to take care of family I didn't scrap at all but did "some" card making. My mojo kind of returned in November, and this year has been a bit better.
3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? I'll just be happy being able to interact with other scrappers while I'm working on my pages. My house is clean, laundry is done, and the refrigerator and pantry are stocked. Let's do this!
I just hope to be able to participate . . . DS had another huge melt-down today, we found more contraband and his 15 year old FASD brain just flips. I think we are past the worst of it, and he's coming around. But I might need to spend more time with him to make sure we are doing well.

My DH hooked up my new pictureMate printer and I'm in love. I just printed 5 photos in minutes vs fiddling with my big printer trying to figure out why the margins are off. Feels like a brand new day. I did some more finishing up on my OLW January layout. I think I'm going to call it a night and go watch the new Winter Soldier TV show with DH but I'll be back to play tomorrow.
So much fun and inspiration seeing what everyone is doing! You ladies are my favorite. Thanks for helping me get back in my scrap room (for something besides work).
