Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? I just received my Cherry on Top pre-order of the Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed collection, and I love every bit of it!
2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? I finally started my Travel album and am enjoying reliving our trips while we're stuck at home.
3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? I'll just be happy being able to interact with other scrappers while I'm working on my pages. My house is clean, laundry is done, and the refrigerator and pantry are stocked. Let's do this!

Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list?
I did get sucked into a purchase of some items from the Carta Bella Flower Garden release. I thought they might make some bright cheery cards for people dealing with cancer.
2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking?
I'm a cardmaker and several of my go-to organizations stopped collecting cards during the pandemic. For instance, I usually make about 150 valentine cards for 2 organizations. Neither were collecting cards this year. So I'm having to refocus on other organizations.
In November, 2019, my friends and I held a papercrafting event to benefit the local humane society. It was really successful and we had plans to do two events in 2020. Obviously those didn't happen. But we are beginning to think about a holiday event for this year. And I'm buying and planning projects like it might happen.
3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side?
I'll probably listen to some podcasts, did my grocery pickup this morning (although there's nothing particularly treat-like there) and I'll have 2 furry companions nosing around.

Breaking news! I just finished a DCWV cardstock pad!😁 i actually really loved that pad, but am also glad to have it in the albums instead of on my desk.
I finished one 12x12 layout so far, though admittedly it's simple.
On to the next one...

Here is my take on the pop up sketch from page two. I stretched it over two pages and of course made some other adaptations, but I started with the arrangement of triangles in the sketch. Live a perfect day! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Prompts: Started with white cs. Added bright inks and papers. Believe me, these boys celebrate every time they get to run or play in the sunshine, so no special day, but... a PERFECT one! I stamped some arrows on pp triangles, and stamped the date.

grammadee - thank you for the sketch - I'll have to find photos that'll work with that. Glad it inspires you, Linda .
For those of you who like sketches, I just linked another one to this week's Sketchy Saturday thread.
Here is my take on that one:
Think that's it for me for completing pages today. I need to get organized for tomorrow's virtual crop I will be hosting 10:00AM to 2:00PM Eastern daylight time. To keep myself scrapping for four hours, I will need to select some photos and scrappy supplies to go with them. And if I am going to invite people virtually into this room, I will need to clean off my desk.
POINTS for this and the Perfect Day LO: four pages created & shared (8), Special crop challenges Three prompts on one project (3) + (5) bonus + use of crop sketch (10), R-1 sketchy Saturday (5) and this is the 3rd one this month (20), R-3 seven photos for the Donna challenge (7), P-2 ephemera (2), P-3 five different thickers (5), P-5 foil pp and sequins on two pages (4), P-6 one PL card (1), S/I-1 at least one star on each page (4), S/I six circles (6), S/I fifteen triangles (15), C/M-1 green on each page (4), T-1 splatters (4), T-4 stamping (2), T-5 inked edges (4), distressed edges (2), torn edges (2), W/T journal/title/date (2), Th-5 March photos 2021 (2), Th-7 outdoors (2), N/S-1 three photos (1), N/S-3 Six patterns on one LO (6) and four on the other (4), N/S-4 three layers on each of two pages (2). Total: 132. Doubled: 264

So, just fed the kiddos, had a banana smoothie myself, switched the laundry, and I'm back!
I'm in the middle of my third layout, though I have the background paper chosen for the following two, with the photos with it.
What's your jam while scrapping?
I have YouTube on. Been listening to 80's easy listening, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, a little Randy Rainbow, and instrumental Pop covers from 2020.

Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? I ordered the latest Hero Arts card kit that is book themed. I pre-ordered the Photoplay Crafting with my Gnomies collection because I always buy the crafting lines and I love gnomes so it is perfect for me. I'm tempted by the new Vicki Boutin, but I haven't used any of the Storyteller I bought yet. 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? I'm actually "caught up" for me. I did three layout a day challenges in 2020 and with no vacation photos and few family get togethers, I had less to scrapbook. I scrapbooked older photos that I hadn't got around to and I made a lot of cards. 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? I'm taking some online card classes. I will be drinking Diet Pepsi and eating chocolate. I did place my first ever scrapbook.com order from work. It was smaller: foam adhesive, a magic mat, a scraper, and a Lawn Fawn Christmas Pea stamp and die set!

grammadee "Live a perfect day" Look at your wonderful use of today's sketch! I love how bold and dynamic this double-pager is. Those bright triangles are an amazing graphic rendition of both mountains and snowboarding lines. The vivid red elements are such a welcome surprise for a snowy layout. This screams fun and energy; "scrap the perfect way". 😉 Great job! 🏂⛰️

I'm STILL waiting for DD14 to be ready for school - she didn't roll out of bed until noon, ate brunch with all of us (DH comes home for lunch), and then announced she was headed up to shower. It's turning 2...what are the odds she'll come down and decide PE is first? So taking advantage and scrapping - used grammadee 's sketchy saturday sketch

Am I making my way through my memory plan without rhyme or reason? Yep. Am I flipping the bird to chronology? Yep. Am I going to be posting memory planner pages all weekend long? Yep. Prepare to be out-memory plannered... Apologies in advance! 😬 February 15-21 which includes a scrappy haul from Kelly Purkey's Paper Person Shop #meta:

Okay! I'm catching up on both Thursday and Friday's AMAs: Thursday 1 PROJECT: I'm planning to start work on my 2019 PL now that I have my pictures in hand! Depending on my scrappy mojo I may need to place another photo order. Thursday 2 VACCINE: I'm not yet but hopefully soon. My parents have just had their first dose, and 4 of my close friends have been vaccinated, I'm anxious to get it so I can join the ultimate cool kids club! Thursday 3 CRAFTY INSPO: I'm currently being drawn to 12x12s but I'm not inspired to actually attempt them since I love documenting with PL, but I won't say no if my scrappy juices are flowing! I'm also trying to gain mojo to get back into my cross-stitching as well, so gramma and @patter are offering some good inspiration as well. Friday 1 COLLECTIONS: No new collections have been exciting me outside my sub to Paper Person and the occasional FYC purchase, that's been mostly it! Oh, I did buy some of the Pinkfresh line of Kelly's so I'm excited to get that in my hands to play with. Friday 2 2020 SCRAPPING: I captured a lot more simple (and homebound) joys and current events. Lots of screenshots, memes, etc. Friday 3 CROP: I'm planning to listen to some books/watch movies but as I'll be hosting the online crops I'll be chatting a lot with everybody! I've got some snacks and goodies and hopefully will try to eat a bit healthier than I know I will. Yikes! 😁 Love everybody's contributions so far! linda and grammadee and sleepingbooty I'm already wishing work was over so I can play too!

I just received my Cherry on Top pre-order of the Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed collection, and I love every bit of it! It sounds like Sunkissed is a Pea favourite right now. It's definitely an uplifting and smile-on-your-face collection. 🤍 My house is clean, laundry is done, and the refrigerator and pantry are stocked. Let's do this! That's what one calls the perfect playing field. I hope this weekend will be filled with loads of happy crafting time! I haven't gotten to do much scrapping this year with the move so using teh crop to get back to it. I'm so happy to hear this crop comes just at the right time for you to get back into your scrappy ways, yay! I'm a cardmaker and several of my go-to organizations stopped collecting cards during the pandemic. For instance, I usually make about 150 valentine cards for 2 organizations. Neither were collecting cards this year. Oh, I'm sorry to hear about this. 😟 Is it because of hygiene reasons? I feel like it's the opposite in my nook of the world. We're not big on cards so there aren't really any non-profits collecting them but I've noticed that the Disneyland Paris employees are making baskets with treats from the Park and handmade cards while the Park remains closed. I also heard about projects in public schools where children were making cards for seniors in care homes who couldn't see any outsiders due to the sanitary situation. I hope you can find meaningful collaborations with the new organisations in your life! Breaking news! I just finished a DCWV cardstock pad!😁 i actually really loved that pad, but am also glad to have it in the albums instead of on my desk. HUZZAH! 'Tis a rare thing to finish a pad so major kudos to you... 🎉 I'm at work right now until noon and then off to the food pantry warehouse for a 4 hour shift THEN I'll join you all. It's been fun following along on this thread. Wishing you a calm and stress-free shift! Can't wait to have you join our merry crop afterwards. 😊 I will be free tonight and all day tomorrow and I would love to be with you all! ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US! *dances on the table* 🤟 I will be drinking Diet Pepsi and eating chocolate. I did place my first ever scrapbook.com order from work. It was smaller: foam adhesive, a magic mat, a scraper, and a Lawn Fawn Christmas Pea stamp and die set! Ooh, nice little treats! As an international scrapbooker, I love scrapbook.com. Their basic adhesive is great, too, if you're ever in the market to try a new one. Hope the order reaches you soon. So, how about that chocolate... Care to share? 🤤

What's your jam while scrapping? I have YouTube on. Been listening to 80's easy listening, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, a little Randy Rainbow, and instrumental Pop covers from 2020. I had headphones on all day since my SO and I are both WFH but as soon as the working day was over, I got Colombian artist Camilo playing for some happy reggaeton vibes. It's grey and rainy and cold. Booty's in need of some sunshine... ☀️🍹🎶 Also, kudos to you for getting THREE layouts done already, wowee!

Friday AMA: 1. 2021 New Releases? I am excitedly awaiting the new mixed media paper pad in Vicki Boutin's new collection. I have a notification set at SB.com on this one. I picked up CV Sunkissed last week so I'm hoping to get into that this weekend. Between monthly kit subscriptions and a virtual event in June, I will be content with whatever I get from those until the Christmas collections come around (my favorite!!). 2. 2020-2021? Prior to last year, I rarely crafted at home, and was mostly a crop/retreat crafter. All my supplies were organized in a manner that was most efficient to be "on the go". The past year has made me an "at home" crafter and I've reorganized things to make better use of the space. We had our big annual trip ( JoCo Cruise) in March 2020 so that is still "normal" for last year, but 2021 was cancelled (they are doing something virtual next month instead), so this year's album will be different for sure. I'm not sure how much of pandemic life I will include. The idea of scrapbooking it is overwhelming to me right now, so I've been doing older photos, and photos of my BFF's daughter (she's 6 and makes for a fun subject, lol). 3. Fun Crop? I haven't been in a movie watching mood lately, but I have been reading a lot. I'm in the middle of an audiobook (Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng), so I will continue listening to that today. I have a ridiculous amount of chocolate stashed right now (and some Cutie clementines!), and always a cat or two poking around me. I'm signed up for a Paige Evans virtual class on Saturday, but other than that I should be around all weekend! Linda I love that you've made your photos the focus in your Rodeo layout; yet the theme still comes through loud and clear! Sisters is lovely spring layout! The yellow papers really draw your eye to the flowers in the photo. So pretty! I always love a kitty layout! grammadee What a fun sketch - love the triangles! I may try my hand at this one. Thank you for sharing! Your layout is SO bright and fun, and I love how you've arranged your photos to fit snug within the triangles. Very striking! sleepingbooty I find your memory planning spreads very calming. Typically when I see these types of layout they are bursting with all! the! things! (Paige Evans' comes to mind). I like the small pops of color amongst the white space. Very nice!

Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list? Gosh, I have no earthly idea. We do lots of stuff with the local Irish community and were to have taken a trip to Ireland last May, so I'm a sucker for collections w/ greens and teal (DD's Irish dance school colors are teal & lime). Honestly, though, I rarely buy loose supplies anymore. I've gone to almost exclusively buying kits so I don't have to do all the matching and deciding. 2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking? If I had any sense, I'd have used 2020 to catch up on ordering photos, but I don't, so I didn't. All I've done in the last year is a little bit of kitting - splitting multi-layout kits down to individual LO kits. 3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side? I'm just on my lunch break from work right now, but I hope to binge some fluffy shows that don't require attention over the weekend. I'd normally have at least one if not both cats begging for attention, but DMIL is convalescing from a back injury upstairs, so they might leave me in peace while they attend to her!

I got Colombian artist Camilo playing Thank you for sharing that! Love adding new music to my playlist.
Also, love your memory planner pages. So clean and neat and great with pops of color!
grammadee I tried to scraplift that awesome triangle layout, but my page had other ideas! I did a page where there are varying triangles layered along the bottom. The two photos are in the center of the page, slightly above center really. There are two smaller triangles coming down from the top left. And then I used a paper punch to make matching confetti all around the photos on the top half, then a few on the bottom triangles.
But it really did start with triangle inspiration!

I am sorry to be so dumb, but I can't keep up with this thread and can't find where the actual challenges are posted. (not the questions, but the challenges) Can someone tell me where the links are to the online chats?
Products: My room is too full to buy more right now. Immunity: Both shots and 3 weeks past so I should have great immunity. Inspiration: I've spent some time in Pinterest getting new card ideas.

Let's get started with the FRIDAY CHALLENGES for those who like a bit of prompting or competition (not mandatory, of course): 1. Theme | Let's kick off this weekend crop with a smile and get inspired by HAPPY DAYS. Scrap something related to a merry memory. Make a card for a joyous occasion. Think about celebrations, birthdays, a day out with the family, unfinished vacation albums, Mother/Father's Day, etc. 2. Colours | Embrace the feelings of renewal (we're only 2 and a half months into the new year after all, teehee) and go for a BRIGHT & WHITE colour scheme. Think of pops of vivid colours and some white space here and there (maybe add a white border around your photos if you're not big on a white background page). 3. Products & technique | STAMP away! Get your stamps and inks out, and make sure you use them today. You could even combine the Colours challenge with this one by stamping your images or sentiments on bright pattern paper or freshly watercoloured cardstock... nylene - sleepingbooty posted the Friday challenges on page 2 - the thread is moving quickly and it can be hard to scroll back and find stuff
