Has anyone already purchased WITL Prep day class? If so does it look like there are prompt printables similar to last year? I signed up. You can’t access anything yet. Her blog post with her album preview shows a couple of the downloads but nothing prompt related. ] Thank you! I’ll just have to be patient and wait. I’m not good at that. And my Saturday and Sunday is jam packed so I’ll have to catch the class later in the week.

No new prompts other than what’s on the 4x6 cards from the kit.

I bought the class, should have waited. All the prompts are in that awful funky handwriting. Looks messy. And no full page prompt sheets for journaling like there was last year. I find that frustrating as the feedback she asked for was overwhelmingly in support of doing something similar this year.

Ugh...the handwriting is bad enough, but the thick random letters is awful. I actually never minded her handwriting before, but now with her digital tool I've started to get really annoyed with the handwriting.

I find that frustrating as the feedback she asked for was overwhelmingly in support of doing something similar this year. So not worth it to buy? I don’t usually do WITL anyway, but I buy the prep day to get the digitals for $5. The digitals include: Full page "This Week" and "Reason Why" in the mixed hand drawn fonts. A circle with typed out words as seen in her blog post. Thick and thin hand written font words: Just Keep Swimming (really? really.), Last Year vs This Year, My Life Right Now, Our Life Right Now, This is My Life Right Now, Today Taught me. Mix of formats, some just long titles, some 3x4 blocks, some 3x8 blocks. Messy circles with thick/thin hand drawn font: Currently Listening, currently reading, Currently Watching, Currently Cooking, currently Playing Thick/thin hand drawn font: Your Story, My Story, Our Story, His Story, Her Story, Their Story Full page This is Us and This is Me in mixed fonts - teal, white, yellow. Pretty darn ugly IMO. More hand drawn font - Elton John quote, photo quotes, "It's always the same until it isn't", the stuff tells a story. Hand drawn words - Feeling, watching, appreciating, eating, enjoying, noticing, prioritizing, reading, listening, wondering Hand drawn words - Week in the life 2021, Capturing what matters. Most words are not capitalized FYI. For me, not at all worth it. I don't like the hand drawn font, much prefer a font I can buy and type out. The majority of the individual words I already have in stamp form. I may use one of the digitals and that's it. Hopefully the class content makes it worth $5.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s worth $5. Probably won’t bother even listening to the classes. We are back to Ali’s ‘half assed, thrown together, messy writing’ digitals. No thanks.
No one loves Ali’s handwriting as much as Ali does.

Are the videos for prep day just the weekly vids they've been doing on igtv? I'm busy today so I knew I wouldn't be able to participate in real time, but if the downloads are pretty meh maybe it's best to skip. I like the idea of different fonts covering the background in words, but that's so easy to do without paying for them.
I've worked a bit on my 4x6 but I'm really not liking it. Idk if its the flipbook format or the size that's holding me back.
It may just be that I needed to step back and come back later...or I'll end up putting everything into the marigold album I bought from CT that should be here Monday. Knowing me I'll probably be doing that lol

I’m enjoying it so far. May not be as good as last years prep party, but I’m still getting ideas and inspiration. Worth $5 in my book. I like seeing how she’s using all the different colors.
If you don’t like her handwriting or messy font you won’t like the digitals. It would be nice if she also did them in the font of the stamp set or cards from the kit. I will probably use a few of them, but I’m sure you could easily create them yourself or use stamps from your stash.
Anywho not mad about spending the day watching this while waiting for Chinese rocket debris to fall on my head 🥴

That's a shame. I really got a lot out of last year. (Even though there's an unfinished, un-albumed, so to speak, WITL waiting to be put in the album). Even with that, I watched all the content and liked it. I'm not even bothering to get it this time. And I never minded Ali's handwritten stuff before, but its getting old.

No one loves Ali’s handwriting as much as Ali does. I loathe her handwriting, actually ALL the handwritten embellishments out there. I like her simple embellishments that use actual fonts but the handwriting is so not me. I know lots of people like it and she's making a living off selling her handwriting, great gig if you can get it for sure. Anywho not mad about spending the day watching this while waiting for Chinese rocket debris to fall on my head Glad you liked the digitals! And here's hoping no large chunks fall on your head, only tiny ones that won't hurt. After much consideration, I believe I'm going to try this. I'm not pre-planning any of the album or what products I'm going to use, but I think I'm going to use either a Citrus Twist album or one of the Simple Stories 4x6 albums. I'm using the weekly prompt examples that she has in her "about WITL" section, (around here, working life, Wednesdays are for, etc) because I didn't want to put too much effort into thinking of what I want to write about each day. This will be my first time doing this so hopefully it won't end like all my other half-done projects. *fingers crossed*

Using some of my impulse AE purchases this week. Put one of the little tags on a mothers' day card for my dd and a couple of pages and planning to use at least one of the cute little fabric houses on pages this week.

The layered templates she has this year make zero sense to me in terms of how they relate to the available kits. The kits are geometric and largely clean lines and the templates are...not.
I’m glad to see her creative team playing with the products some. I always find that Ali is kind of uninspired/uninspiring in terms of the actual album (she’s really into the words and the photos, I get it, but it would be nice to get a bit crafty with putting it together). So seeing IG posts of the CT members actually doing some product play type stuff has been a nice change. I’m not sure if it was similar in the classroom, I didn’t sign up.

Absolutely. I did buy them because I love how different they are, but they are so different that it's hard to believe that she even had anything to do with the layered templates. It's almost like someone created them without knowing what the AE kit looked like and then added the colors in later.

Good luck to anyone doing WITL this week. You can make it beyond Tuesday!
I’m waiting until next month. Like clockwork the week Ali does it is always rainy and gloomy here and not very inspiring.

I started yesterday because this is the first year I wanted to include Mothers Day (been busy with baseball or delivering flowers the past several years). I'm not sure if I'll stop with Saturday or do next Sunday too...mostly because we'll be spending Saturday night at my mom's house following a graduation party...so excited to see her for the first time since Cmas 2019!!! So it would feel weird to end it on the road.

I took some photos today -- not a crazy number but enough that I can do my first day spread. It was a day of being at home and some light cleaning so I did my best to find things to photograph.
Photos I took:
-stole a snapchat photo from DS2 to include -screenshot of weather app for today -my breakfast -a photo of the broom leaning against the entry way from when I swept the front porch. -my rose bushes blooming -my window boxes with flowers blooming -my dogs during nap time on my bed -the packages piled up on my front door from the mail man -DH asleep on the bed after work, with both dogs curled up to him
The photo I wanted most I didnt get - it was girls night out and I met my best friends for drinks + dinner. And no one got a freaking photo.

Happy documenting to those doing WITL this week with Ali! I'm waiting until a little later. We're still in lockdown, under curfew and I only have had one Covid-19 vaccine shot so far. Bring on June!

My album will look a bit different this year, since my stash is packed up. I usually prefer typed journaling but with no printer I am doing all handwriting, which is great because I do it at the end of the day and boom! it's done. I'm slipping little notes into each pocket so I remember which photos to print.
At least that's what I've started with, it's only just Tuesday, but I feel good about this pared down version, getting to the heart of the everyday. Our little granny flat we are renting until we move into our house is ugly and cramped but hey, it is what its. No glamorous shots this week, just the real messiness of life. My favorite photo of yesterday was the one of my SO sitting in the yard because he didn't want to sit inside. He looks silly sitting in the middle of the lawn on his chair, but that's what he does to keep sane, so it's going in the book.

Nobody wants to talk about the photo that popped up on my IG of AE & her husband IN THE BATHTUB?!?! I mean, set the WITL photo bar high. I read through her process to set it up and no remote and kept thinking "Dear God, I'd probably slip and crack my head.."

I read through her process to set it up and no remote and kept thinking "Dear God, I'd probably slip and crack my head.." If I'm to blame because I posted that awesome bath tub + Switch photo by photographer Sven Berger in this very thread last week and accidentally inspired Ali/changed the karmic course of the WITL universe through telepathic 2PR communication, apologies. Look, I'm all for private photos, especially if you set your self-timer for longer than 20 seconds when you're worried about racing back to a wet tub. But yeah, this is a bit of an odd one to highlight on social media although it does fit with Ali's perfect second marriage narrative (and Aprodite knows that trope is pervasive in the influencer sphere).

Sorry, I was too busy cleaning my mouth out from the vomit. Probably one of those times no one wants to really see on Instagram. I don't follow her on IG, so it popped up in something "You might be interested..." Dude. Read the room. I just... I mean. At first I just saw him and the cat and thought "wow, that's strange.." then I read it, then I looked at the photo again. I mean, not every "special" moment has to be shared. We know this, but apparently not everyone got the memo? If someone breaks their damn neck trying to recreate this..
