I’m not sure how much scrapping time I’ll get this weekend. I completely forgot and invited the kid to dinner Sunday afternoon 🤦🏻♀️. But whatever time I DO get I’ll be working on Shimelle’s half and half class.

I got my final vaccine shot yesterday and I'm feeling it a bit today. Fortunately no fever but I just feel like I was hit by a truck and have a headache.
Hopefully I'll rally so I can join one of the online crops get some stuff done this weekend.

I felt like that the first day too and woke up the next day totally back to normal all but for the sore arm! Here's hoping that's how you are too!

msliz do you still need hosts? I can do the 8 am-12 noon on Saturday. I'm in the EST zone. But I am an early bird. Up at 5 pretty much. I just need some guidance on how to open the google meets. I attended a crop, but I've never hosted before.

This is the Virtual Crop schedule for the weekend. There are still two open spots that need hosts if we want to keep them going back to back on Saturday. If you think you'd like to host, please check out the VIRTUAL CROP SCHEDULE and Hosting Sign Ups thread pinned to the top of the page for more info. These crops are for: Peas, Former Peas, Sisters and Friends of Peas, Pea Lurkers who are happy being Lurkers, and Nice people in general. Before the start time for each crop, look for a thread on the General Scrapbooking board, posted by the session's host, with a link to the crop. We use Google Meet, so you'll only need to sign into your Google account in order to join. And you can hop in or leave at any point, so even if you only have a few minutes, we'd love for you to visit. InterNational Scrapbook Day Weekend
Friday, April 30, 6pm to 10pm EST hosted by kitbop Friday, April 30, 10pm to 2am EST hosted by angel97701 Saturday, May 1, 8am to noon EST still looking for a host
Saturday, May 1, noon to 4pm EST hosted by Mel Saturday, May 1, 4pm to 8pm EST still looking for a host
Saturday, May 1, 8pm to midnight EST hosted by joyfulnana Sunday, May 2, noon to 4pm EST hosted by kitbop If you still need hosts I can do the Saturday 4-8pm session.

I'll pop in when I can. My LSS is doing a "Crop in a Box" online event on Saturday so I will not be with you that day, but hope to see you sometime Friday and Sunday.

jeremysgirl and Neisey , thank you both so much! I'll add you to the line-up! Jeremysgirl, on my pc, to host all I do is to sign into Google, click on the Meet icon, click on New Meeting, and click on Start an Instant Meeting. Then I get a pop up with the link, and I can copy and paste it in my invitation post here on the board. Then I stick around for 4 hours and admit participants individually. If I need to run to the kitchen (or elsewhere), I'll ask DD to sit in and listen for the chime and click them in.

Don't know whether you are using a pc or a tablet, but this would probably apply to either. I have hosted from my iPad, and had trouble copying a link from there to the board, so this is what I have done:
1. Log into Google, and open Meet.
2. Choose New Meeting, and then "Get a meeting link to share".
3. Share the link with YOURSELF via email.
4. Open your email and copy the link.
5. Start a new thread on the GB, inviting peas to join your session ("Virtual crop for [date time] now OPEN" as your title), In the message pane hit the "Link" button, and paste the link you copied from your email into the space for URL.
6. When you click on the link, it should tell you that you are the first one there. When others join, you will get a soft beep. Just click on the Admit bar.
msliz does this cover it?

Thank you so much guys for the quick tutorial. I'm sure I can manage it. I'll do a test run tonight with my husband just to make sure. See you tomorrow!

msliz does this cover it? I don't need to email the link to myself as I can just click on an icon that copies the link to my clipboard for me, but it's essentially the same process.

is there a chat thread for the iNSD crop or just the online chats? grammadeeI don't see why we can't just keep using this thread. When grammadee returns, she can just change the title. How's your iNSD going, homeschoolmum? I'm just waking up and getting started. Then I need to add my title and some jewelry to last night's page.

Good morning and happy iNSD peas! I'm feeling scrambled this morning. - It's my DHs birthday - I have to take care of him today (I think that's a given on your birthday!), make cake, get a present (ahem) etc. - the sun is shining and I WANT to go for a run (see how I put that? i "want" to go for a run". That's supposed to psychologically make it easier. It doesn't actually work) and I WANT to get some yard work done. - we need groceries, but we're doing Chinese take-out for supper so the pressure is off - I want to vacuum (no, really this time, I WANT to vacuum, I will feel better if the floors have less pet hair on them!) but DH is still in bed and I don't think "take care of the birthday boy" includes "wake up to sounds of vacuuming" And of course, iNSD - I wanna scrapbook!!! But it's going to have to be in the backseat I think. Is anyone else amazed and overwhelmed by all the sites hosting challenges/crops? I would love to play along, but it's a bit much and made me feel anxious, so I'm going to IGNORE it all and just play quietly here Here's a layout I finished last night layout kitten comfort by kirstendrew, on Flickr Off to make a cake now

Let’s chat here in this thread, Linda. How is everyone doing? I have lots of ideas, just need to get STARTED on them... The first prompt for LOAD dropped last night. I have a SS flip book I want to work on for that. Need to get the first page done today. Like joyfulnana and several other Peas, I have several of Shimelle’s half & half lessons to work on. And last night I grabbed some supplies to work on schroema’s Sketchy Saturday. The May challenges have been started here, and I want to check out the SCT hourly ones as well.

msliz - looking forward to seeing your page! kitbop - Happy Birthday to Mr. Kitbop! What a sweet page - love the photos and that vertical centre line with the horizontal photos. grammadee - sounds like you have lots of options to work on. I'm tired this morning because DD20 woke me up at 4am with a kidney stone and I never managed to fall back asleep. She's feeling a bit better now and headed back to bed for a nap. But I'm scrapping - 3 pages/2 layouts done so far in DS's Hawaii album including one based on grammadee 's sketch sorry this one is blurry - the actual photos aren't

Good morning! Happy birthday to Mr kitbop! My entire weekend has been derailed. There will be no scrapping for me except during the crop I’m hosting tonight. This seems to always happen during iNSD weekend. I hope you all have a great scrappy weekend!

I'm sorry joyfulnana - that's a bummer! Hopefully the new weekend plans are fun at least This layout is based on a sketch I posted in the iNSD Sketch thread. DH and DD14 came back from riding and headed back out to the city (about 90 minutes away) - they'll be gone all afternoon. DD20 is sleeping - hopefully she'll be feeling more herself when she wakes up. So it's just me here today BUT since the city trip was supposed to be tomorrow - not sure if I'll get to scrap or we'll end up doing stuff.

grammadee - thats a lovely layout, the shades of greens and blue are so beautiful together, they really blend - it's like a "cool shade rainbow"! Linda - beautiful design and photos. I used your influence a *lot* this week as I put together the "retirement book" I'm doing - banners, unifying pieces of paper like the block behind 2 photos you have in your "seaside" layout above, and I even did a page with strips of pp like your "oahu" layout! Handy design principles and you are the one I took the lessons from joyfulnana - hope things are OK with you??? My already full day got derailed this morning: got a call from the ER that my Dad was there... There is nothing wrong with him that needs an ER. He has a lot of anxiety. So we had to pick him up, buy him groceries, I have to take over some food later... Sigh. (Don't think ill of me please. He abandoned me as a child and only moved to be closer to us 2 years ago so that we could take care of him...)

I have a somewhat similar situation with an in law - we have to balance caring about them (because they're human, a relative, and vulnerable) with boundaries to protect ourselves from their mental illness and them not being a person who can care about others, even their own children. I hope you get a little downtime in.

My morning has disappeared on me, as they all tend to do... I got a little 100 day coloring done, tidied up my desk, and after lunch my goals are to move photos around on my computer, find the ones I want to put in my end of year book, save them in the right places and hopefully make a few drafts of pages, and revisit some other WIP digital projects.
Or I might get totally derailed because I pulled out my DD/JYC smash/notebook/whatever it is and there's a part of my that just wants it done. There's another a part of me that wants to throw the whole thing in the trash. I probably won't.
I should be able to earn some points, even if they're just for organizing. But first, lunchtime!
