I got all the class cards made yesterday including the bonus stamp market card that she didn't get to in class! I worked through all the "breaks" and facebook live sessions, and for about 30 minutes after the end of the day. Whew! This is one of my favourites: card stenciled leaves multicolour by kirstendrew, on Flickr And here's my proof card collage by kirstendrew, on Flickr That's fantastic. I quit at 4 yesterday and today. I will for sure finish my cards this week, though - no procrastinating! I wanted to do Vicki's class tonight but something came up. I still ended up making 17 cards this weekend which is such a win for me - I met some personal goals which is so satisfying. Edited to add: I love that last Stamp Market card, good for you for going ahead and not waiting for Amy's video. You did a gorgeous job!

What a fabulous weekend! I have 13 cards complete and 2 more in the assembly area. I don't think I've ever gotten this much accomplished in this amount of time. I have to say The Stamp Market and Concord & 9th classes were my favorite. And I spent my fair share using the discount codes! Thanks to kitbop for starting this thread! I was lucky enough to get in off the waiting list since I had never heard of this event before you posted about it.

It's a wrap! Did anyone here win one of those fantastic prizes they gave away?

I just watched off and on yesterday and today. Other commitments took over, but I plan to work on the cards throughout this week. All your cards look amazing!
These events really do get you motivated, don't they? I love them!

These events really do get you motivated, don't they? I love them! So motivating! As I think Vicki Boutin said "it fills the soul". After doing 17 cards in 2 days my husband and son now feel I need to step up my game, lol. They were amazed. Usually I manage to get 1 card done on any given Saturday or Sunday. I told them I could not work this hard every weekend, it was too intense! But still, I'm ready to do it all again in March!

Well -- I have a bit of a different take on the event. I am glad I did it; the box of class products was very generous; the overall presentation was effective; but I think the classes were too easy which made the videos tedious. For the two that I was highly interested in (The Stamp Market and Pink Fresh), I quit watching live and I'll fast forward thought the video replay.
I hope that the next two I signed up for are more in line with my expectations. But I doubt that I'll be purchasing a "card making" event again.

I think the classes were too easy which made the videos tedious. I could have made all the cards from the instructions too. But the videos motivated me, made me feel like I was "part of something", and sure did get me moving FAST through the process! Much less pfaffing about. I got 24 cards done over the 3 days: I finished all 11 for today. My favourite supplies: Pinkfresh stencils. But one of my less favourite classes because it was just 1.5 hours of stenciling. My favourite class: hmmm - I think the Stamp Market. I loved Amy, loved her cards. My favourite cards: Gina K's. hands down. My least favourite cards: the doodlebug ones. I loved Vicki's class (she is fun) but they feel like how I made cards 10 years ago. Biggest surprise: Brutus Munroe! That tree is GORGEOUS, and he was a good teacher. Least favourite supplies: Honey Bee (bonus) stamps - I've never been a huge "bee hive/bees" supply fan Cute, but not me. I didn't finish those cards. I think I will sign up for next Spring again. This shows me I have ample supplies and skills to make wonderful cards, but need to drive myself more. On the other hand: 1) justjac pointed out that she's running out of space for new supplies. I am likewise at capacity. Is this too frivolous? 2) I now have 24 cards that need to be given away, and I do NOT have that many special people in my life. I don't have that many people to say "grateful for you", or "hello friend" to! Do I need to be making more cards?

I don’t want to take another card making event but I’d like to take the scrapbooking one in April. I spend more time scrapping than I do making cards. Most of the cards I make are for holidays. I wish I had signed up for the November one but I signed for the holiday one.

I loved it all. I did both cardmaking events and love them. Love a mix of products and I love learning from many different companies. Plus I like doing it at home so I can add from my stash. I think I got like 18 cards done. Just need to redo the pinkfresh ones as I messed them up in the last minute. Stenciled perfectly and messed up my assembly, ugh. But I really loved it all!

I’m glad I took the class and I’m sure I’ll sign up for March. It’s fun to have a marathon session and get some crafty inspiration. Even if everything isn’t my style.
Ranked favorite to least favorite: Gina K, Cathy’s, Stamp Market, PinkFresh, Vikki’s and finally Lawn Fawn. I only did one of the Lawn Fawn cards…just not my style. I changed all of Vicki’s cards up.
Tossed those horrid foam squares. Such a pain to get the release paper off. Tossed the SCT magnet sheets…none of my dies actually stuck to them.
Will order more of the watercolor paper from Jen’s class. Loved how white it was.
I didn’t do the Honey Bee make-n-take. Can’t see who I would send those too. Ran out of time for Brutus Monroe, Megan’s and Jennifer’s. But, will do those over the next couple weeks.

Much less pfaffing about. I totally agree with this. Motivation was key. I can sit in my craft room for hours and barely complete 1 card. I just felt really inspired and creative this weekend. I also got inspired by seeing everyone else's cards and how they changed things up. I'm no designer but I can definitely re-create cards that inspire me. This is also me. I know it's cheesy but I would like to create a bunch of appreciation or thanks for all you do cards and distribute them. I thought about keeping completed cards in my car and giving them out as kind of a random act of kindness type thing. In the end, I enjoy making them and I really don't need to/can't keep them forever, right?

I ended up with 20 cards, didn't make any of the mini classes or bonus ones. I give people box full of cards for birthdays, I try to include birthday, thank you, congratulation and some sympathy cards. They love it!! Its always nice to have some cards on hand. If you want the fun to keep going check out CARDtober on the stamping/cardmaking board. Lots of fun challenges! 2peasrefugees.boards.net/board/14/stamping-cardmaking

I agree with your rankings. I didn't even make the Lawn Fawn ones because I didn't like the card samples. I really dislike the font in the stamp set, for instance. I do send a lot of cards, mainly for birthdays, so I plan on changing up the sentiments to make them more birthday-related. "Celebrate" and "Thinking of You" work for birthday, so those will stay. I'll also keep a few thank you cards and "Grateful for you cards" just in case. I just really enjoyed communing with others even though it was online, I liked challenging myself, I liked creating with like-minded people, and I like having a stash of cards to send. I also now have a ton of ideas and I feel like I'm back in a creative groove.

Please tell me all the classes are accessable after the fact without Facebook! Looks like I will not be home the weekend of November 20th--will be spending some time with dgk's. That first weekend in November still looks good, though. Getting excited to get my box of supplies...

I’m not sure if they did this because Facebook was down or if it’s standard procedure.

I was in my Nat Geo photo class this past weekend (priorities!). I havent done any homework, watched any classes or looked through the book yet. Maybe the end of the month when I have a weekend off.

My label has been created! Just in case it did for others and you don't usually check it, my email went to spam.

Are your labels for the 1 day Holiday class or the other one?

I got my shipping notice, too!! (I am taking both November classes, and SCT said my class supplies for both events will ship together in one box.) Tracking says it should arrive Monday, although with all the shipping delays, that seems optimistic

I like the lighter colored card too. I'm still not in love with that stamp set, but I will play with it after Cardtober.
