Skellinton FB definitely gets more complicated with each update or “improvement.” Cathy Z had a lunch and learn video - you don’t make anything, but she gives lots of examples and tips regarding questions she solicited in the group earlier. If she doesn’t annoy you, she has some nice design examples. I also agree that Meghann’s meet n greet is worth a watch.

@skellington if you liked the title class, watch Meghann's meet and greet. She showed lots of layout examples for ideas. Thank you, will def do that !

There was also the Christmas “onion” envelope and the layouts with the attendee kit supplies.
I was a fan of Meghan’s title class and Layle’s TN. I’m not a Vicki B fan, her layouts and collections aren’t my style. I agree with the comments on Victoria’s class…too basic.
I prefer the Crop and Create card events. I’ve done two of the scrapping ones, but won’t do another.
I do think the events are amazingly well put together. You get a ton of stuff.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but did you prepare your photos and journaling before the event? Is that part of the homework?
I enjoyed the cardmaking event in Oct and thinking of maybe doing the scrapbooking one in the future.

Next week every night we’ll be chatting with the instructors and you can ask that question then if you want. You can always email them too.

I did not, bit there’s no reason you couldn’t, to be able to finish your page faster or make modifications to fit you number or size of photos.

Can someone post a picture of the holiday goodies after the opening? Box/bag was packed! A nice mix of hot chocolate/marshmallows/choc chips for us to drink at the closing on Saturday night! Two stamp sets (CTMH and SCT), four inks, washi, ....

TFS MDscrapaholic. We had opened ours earlier. Dgs has already enjoyed the hot chocolate. I hadn’t noticed the dies with the stamp set. I had been feeling jealous about all the sets included in the card kit earlier.

I'm so far behind on these classes, I could work for 6 months on them.
shhhhhh - I won the $200 gift certificate from Two Friends. Catherine is supposed to email me today about it. I am so excited! It will be interesting to see if it will cost me more since I am in Texas and not Canada.

I enjoyed the cardmaking event in Oct and thinking of maybe doing the scrapbooking one in the future. After the unboxing, I used the booklet to figure out what photos I wanted to use and printed those out in the suggested size. I knew I would be modifying a couple layouts and it's easier for me to do it having the photos on hand.

It will be interesting to see if it will cost me more since I am in Texas and not Canada. They are 30 minutes from me! I'd wait to shop until their monthly sale - it runs Fri/Sat/Sun on the 3rd or 4th weekend of the month (can't remember which!) as is typically 20% off everything. Congratulations!

Wow! That's wild. I will definitely check them out this month, I've never shopped there before.

I'm going to print off the instructions for the Simple Stories book tonight and attempt to cut up the paper!

I just printed out the instructions. It's a super cute book and I counted 30 photo places. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to use it for. It is hard for me to make something without an end goal in mind. I think I many do a December (not daily) album for 2015. I started doing December Daily in 2016, so this in my mind is the most logical year to do. I thought about doing recipes, but I don't think the picture spots are big enough - lots of 3x4s. Also thinking of cutting up the paper tonight or tomorrow night. Since I am a mostly a scrapbooker, I am actually looking the most forward to Cathy Z's card class. It's out of my usual range which is good

I have not prepped for this weekends crop. I missed the first two nights of meet and greets but caught Cathy Z live last night. I’d like to watch the ones I missed and then decide if I want go ahead and start cutting! The little December book sure is cute!
I went to Tuesday Morning today and they had six packs of those tri-blend markers that we used for the crop a couple of weeks ago. $14.99 a box. I grabbed the vibrant and the warm. I was happy to find those because coloring is brand new to me and I had a few of these in my scrapbook dot com cart. I was waiting for the new coupon code to be active so I’m glad I had to wait. This is a much better deal!

I was impressed with the holiday box, lots of fun collections and supplies. I am just working on cards, so putting the scrapbook stuff aside, but will still watch. I also don't think I will do the mini book since I don't really scrap holidays that much.
For the scrapbook event I did last fall, I did homework and prepped for Jess Forrester's class because I really wanted to complete those layouts. I think I did photos for 1 or 2 of Virginia's, but I ended up making/using all the layouts eventually. I think that's what keeps me coming back to these events bcz I actually like and use the layouts and card supplies.
I am signed up for March's card event too, my Mom and I gift it to each other (ourselves?) to spend the weekend together crafting, fun fun.

I did all the cutting for the Friday class. I'm glad I did because it's a lot and I would probably mess it up if I was under pressure. If I have time tonight I think I will do the cutting for the other classes as well.

I will probably fall behind in Virginia’s class because I haven’t done any prep, but that’s okay. Looking forward to Cathy Z’s class as I still have some Christmas cards to make!
