Happy Tuesday! Just popping in to say I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! LOL! We have cleaned up and washed and organized. So crazy how two bugs caused all this upheaval. nylene, I miss having fun with my crafts and glad you reminded me to play. I hope I can have some craft fun tomorrow. nylene- Oh, we missed your birthday! I see you did have a great time with your family but seeing you a birthday hug from Cali. Yes, my birthday is this Saturday and I hope to have fun doing something, anything! LOL! Waving hi to you all and be back later!

Glad your home is getting back to normal, kellyr21 and that you can soon be playing with all your art supplies, making pretty things. This is a quick note to let the Pokeys know that I have just opened the June Team sign up thread. MARIBETHR, that is where it all starts if you would like to give it a try.

I would like to try but really feel like I need a mentor for the first month anybody willing to help be get on board with this great event? I think you will find that you get lots of help. kitbop and joyfulnana are the team leaders and each will set up a June team thread to invite team members to discuss the challenges and progress, see what's going on in people's lives, answer questions and offer advice. Each month gramma sets up a spreadsheet for people to use to add up all the detailed points, but then she herself often uses the "easy peasy" method for her own score. Most of the Pokeys have played in other months &/or will be playing in June. And you are always welcome to tag or PM me with a question.

What's on your agenda today?
I need to put together a page for LOAD to go with the one I did yesterday. I also hope to create a couple of grad cards, one for my dgs for his high school grad and one for my dn's dd who has finished her education degree. I also need to drive into town to pick up my monthly meds and some groceries.
Tomorrow, I need to drive to Lloyd to pick up my Maker Mania pack from the LSS and do some errands for dh. So before today is done, I need to collect what I will need for tomorrow's LOAD page, cuz I may not have much time to put it together Friday.
OK off to start my day...

MARIBETHR, I would love to be a mentor for you. I had not planned to join the Team Challenges this month because we will be gone part of the month and I am devoting time to remembering how to do book binding and getting it perfected before I teach DD and DGD to do it. LOL I am on the thread nearly every day and will answer any questions. I think you will find lots of help in the threads posted by the Team Leaders. Start by looking at the sticky threads for May's points and scoring and at the challenges listed for May. You will have a few days to add challenges to June's list. Just watch for the thread after the teams are posted. I think you will love this. It's right up your scrafting alley. Have fun! Off for a Home Depot run for DH.

Hey, thank you Nylene, yes it is my cup of tea. Just trying to wrap my head around scoring, and then what the difference challenges we have to complete to earn the points. Example, If I complete four scrapbook layouts I meet the Pokey Pea challenge, and then I would score points for items that I used on those layouts based on what is listed, Is that correct? Now my question is what if I make additional layouts, do they count for any more points? And what about any other projects I may do that do not meet a specific challenge thread. Sorry so many questions, once I get it clear in my head I know it will seem like second nature. Have an awesome day.

If you post 4 in the Pokey pea thread it adds an additional 4 points above the challenge points. Any layout you do can be added up for the challenge points, regardless of how many you do. If it looks like your project doesn't meet 20 points worth of the challenges, you can take the Easy Peasy 20 pts per layout and not worry about the points. gramma sets up a spreadsheet that many team members love because they can quickly go through each layout and mark what meets a challenge and then just count them up. If you get busy and don't want to add up points, just take the Easy Peasy points for each size project. It's all for fun, so no one counts your points but you. Ask any questions, everyone here will help.

Yes I looked at gramma 's spreadsheet and it is very similar to the one I set up for Calvin Ball, I just was not sure that if all my makes had to fit into a particular challenge thread. So for the "bonus" points I am assuming that you only count one point if you meet the criteria example I think I saw a rule that said use something more than 10 years old. If you used 5 items that were over 10 years old you would only count one point correct, not a point for each item you used over 10 years old?

MARIBETHR , each challenge can be clarified by the originator of the challenge and is usually done the first few days as the challenges are posted or as the month starts. Just ask for clarification on any you question. Some challenges say you count every (whatever) 10 points each, some say count just once, some may say count up to 3 times. Everyone participating in the Team Challenges can add challenges until that thread closes. I think there is a # each person can add. It will be spelled out. The challenges are listed in categories and there are a certain number that can be added to each category. I haven't played much since that started, so ask grammadee or gramma , or @ kitbop or joyfulnana or any teammate about it. I hope I haven't just confused you!!

I think I will give it a go and hope my team mates will be kind with me as I learn the process, you know me I don't want to let anyone down.

MARIBETHR , there is no "letting others down" with these challenges. They are all for fun and just a means to keep us scrapping. Some months I have been really productive and some months I do very little. No one cares. I know there are months that people sign up but are never able to do any scrapping at all. That's no big deal. You will do a great job, I know.

Hi Pokey Friends! Happy Saturday! Sorry I've been absent this week, I had such a busy week at work. I am SO happy it's the weekend and to have an extra day off to spend with the family and to get to play a bit. I think Olivia (my oldest dd) and I are going to spend some time crafting on Monday, which will be fun. Our last couple of weekends have been full of graduation parties. We have one to go to today and one next weekend, then we will have visited all of our graduatates for this year. Most of our friends have kids around our kids ages, so we have had lots of them to go to. Griffin will graduate from high school next year and I think he is one of the last ones from our friend group. Kelly and Nylene - I love the projects that you posted. Thanks for the inspiration...I haven't scrapped in a few weeks, so I'm trying to get motivated. I need to print Mallory's college graduation photos and start playing with those. I'm going to head over to sign up for this month's challenge, I hope it will get me moving. Have a great day all!

shinyhappytina, I can't believe that Griffin is that old. But as I think back, he was about the same age as our Alyssa and she graduated this year, a year early. Boy, the years certainly fly by, don't they. I'm glad you and Olivia get to spend some quality time together getting crafty! We don't have big plans for this long weekend, but are toying with the idea of riding the Frontrunner up north and finding a place to have lunch. We are really boring people. Our local children all have college kids home and have made plans to go out of town. I can tell we have all been locked down too long. I hope to hop on the Online Crop this afternoon. I may just be sorting photos, but would love to say hello to all my Pea Pals. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Happy Sunday! Thanks nylene and grammadee! I did have a good day yesterday! We went to the marina/beach area and just sat around. Then got dinner and cake take out. The cake is so good and still have some for today. I took lots of pictures for scrapbooking, too. Hope you all are doing well this weekend. Our home is almost back to normal and I am so relieved. Waving hi and see you all this week!

Our last couple of weekends have been full of graduation parties This is something we *don't* have in Canada - not like in the US - I only discovered this after chatting with kendramage (don't know her new @ name!) last night as we virtual cropped. Not that some kids don't have grad parties - but they are parties attended by friends and adults are not invited I think the grad parties you are used to are more like bar mitzvahs and the like, celebrations/rites of passage parties. My DD will have a grad party at her dance studio (well, likely outdoors at a park) but that's it. In good news, she has firmly accepted University of Guelph in a Microbiology and Genetics Co-Op program (with a scholarship that will pay half the first year. Phew). I'm just glad she made up her mind!!! I'm sorry I've been MIA the past couple of weeks. Getting my Dad's apartment emptied has been draining (I finished today. I closed the door at 2:30 and don't have to go back. Now if the boxes I brought home would just sort themselves into magically created storage space...). It just feels like life washed overtop of me. I am celebrating that I am still swimming with my head above water, but I don't find I have so much time on the boards. I didn't take a single photo of moving my Dad to his new place, or of us working to empty his old place. And I'm kicking myself. The day we moved him was SO hard and he was such an a**h*** the whole time that I just was in NO MOOD for pictures. But I'd have loved a pick of my 2 strong boys with the full truck, or moving the furniture - they were so wonderful about the whole ordeal and I could have scrapped that! I know I can scrap the story with other photos, but it's not quite the same. kellyr21 - happy birthday beautiful pea! Sorry I missed it! nylene and grammadee - sorry I missed the crop today but I'm a work before pleasure type person and I knew I wouldn't get anything done with work looming over my head.

Oh kitbop, that is alot you have been through this past couple of weeks. Don't worry about neglecting us: you need to take some time for YOU. I took no photos either as we cleared out our inlaw's house when Baba moved into the seniors' lodge twenty years ago. Should have. Just not in the mood. Yes, our grad celebrations out west are nothing like the elaborate ones I have seen described on this board either. When our kids graduated, their aunts & uncles attended the ceremonies, went out to a restaurant for supper, and then hung out at our home while we attended the banquet with the grads. After that, the kids were off to their activities and we came home to have a casual evening with family. No decorating the house or worrying about a caterer. The next day, we usually had an informal brunch on the yard where the grad could actually interact with the family who had come to celebrate them. The two grandkids who have already graduated had similar plans. Not sure what this one will do--prob hang out with his hockey friends after a distanced ceremony. I finished a page during the virtual crop today, and made a start on another one. msliz was saying she may set up another virtual meet for Memorial Day tomorrow. kitbop, shinyhappytina, and grammadee, we don't have those huge graduation parties here either. In fact, the night of graduation the high school holds an all-night party for the graduates. They are locked in the gym and not allowed to leave until morning. They dance, play games and just have a great time all together. Parents aren't allowed unless asked to help chaperone. Only in an emergency can a parent come check the grad out. Then they all come home and crash and sleep half the day. LOL

So excited, I was able to spend three days in my craft room. Completed these three doll art journal pages, prepped for the 1st Two Peas Monthly Challenge I will participate in. Lots of cleaning and organizing as well. And the occasional search destroy episodes that I am sure some of you are familiar with. Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. 20210531_141624 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr

Such cute art journal pages, MARIBETHR. I love all your details and fun embellishments. I left you love in the gallery. Today we took the Frontrunner train to Farmington and had lunch in the same little cafe where I met you. Farmington station is just a stone's throw from the train station so we took a little walk and made the decision to eat at Zupa's. We have never taken the train that far north, but we may do it again just for fun or to go shopping. I have thought of you all day! Hope you had a nice Memorial Day.

Three days off of my stressful job is always wonderful. Back to work tomorrow, but exited that tomorrow starts my first attempt at the monthly challenge here at Two Peas. Miss you sooooooo much Hugs MB

Sounds like a wonderful day trip, nylene. So nice that you have public transportation that is that convenient. Love for your journal pages on Flickr, MARIBETHR. Glad you are feeling refreshed after a long weekend. I finished a couple of pages I had started yesterday during the virtual crop, and then spent an hour on line with msliz and gramma while I attempted to restore some order to this scraproom. Getting the June team and challenge threads ready for later this evening.

I’m very happy to report that this very pokey pea managed to pull out a layout between the virtual crop Sunday and the pop-up Memorial Day crop today to make 5 for the month! That’s been unheard of for me in many, many years (other than weekend retreat events) Thanks for the inspiration and the crops!

MARIBETHR - those are 3 beautiful pieces of art! I just love the "personality" of each of them. My first instinct was "I love that beach one the most" but then I saw the spooky one, and then the joy of the jump rope got me! Neisey - beautiful beautiful page - photos, title cut, and that old paper - I had/have it too - it's really old right? Loved it then, love it now!

I had so much fun with paper dolls as a child, this is really an extension of the joy I had back then.
