sueg Those are gorgeous and I adore that purple. What is the yarn, please? The purple yarn is Wollmeise Pure, in the colourway Purple Velvet. It is a fingering weight pure wool with a really tight twist, so it knits up to a beautiful fabric. Wollmeise is based in a small town not far from Munich, and you can buy the yarns through her website: Wollmeise Thank you!

Wow, that's fast! I didn't know Drops had a new yarn out *strokes chin* do I need new yarn? Yes, yes you do! Consider yourself enabled. I bought the color called Cookie Dough. I plan to do this with it. Very nice shawl. Looking forward to seeing your version.

I am really late to the thread this month, but I have finally finished a few projects and got around to taking some photos. This is a sweater for me, which was so fun to make as it used a construction method that is new to me. I love the finished garment, even if it is too hot to wear it right now. This little set is for a friend whose first, long awaited, baby was born late last month. She is going to be in Munich this week, so I had to hurry to get it done before we meet tomorrow. I have started another cardigan in the same pattern for my niece’s baby, who is due next month, and a cardigan for me, using the same construction as the purple sweater. Wow love these.

I made this shawl - it’s called Mother of Dragons. I’m gifting it to a friend for her birthday in July. Very pretty. Lucky friend.

The orange tiger tabby is gorgeous gillyp! I was actually looking for an actual kitten/cat 'til I remembered what thread I'm on. Lol (the yarn is cute too) Today I took some time to make a wreath/barn quilt for the kid's door. Then I made a second for me. They're about 26 across at longest and made of light weight pallet wood. http://instagram.com/p/CQe1YXqgU7N

Thanks. I think I quite like them, too. Sometimes it's the simplest things that surprise & bring the most joy to me. These are one of those things. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 I asked my kid if they wanted one for their door/home. Sometimes return texts are slow especially if it's an "eh" or "no thanks". I got an almost an immediate "yes, please!". That's an endorsement coming from them. 😊

Spotted this idea today and thought I'd share here. The video shows how to make feathers out of scrap pieces of yarn. Cute idea and a great one to do with children, you could create a length of bunting for their favourite spot. m.youtube.com/watch?v=FiBGgIHFEzo

Thanks wellway. Her instructions are clear enough for a child to follow. Our schools break up today. I shall squirrel the link away for possible use when the weather is bad.

Oh thanks for sharing about the yardage jeremysgirl . Is the yarn itchy at all because of the wool? I am so tempted especially since it's still on sale. Me too after hearing jeremysgirl review 😀 Me three! I really love the Strawberry Cream colourway, the only thing putting me off is the thought of ordering and the parcel going missing again.

I think the extra cost to the US is about £5 so I’m guessing it would be similar to where you are. If you order don’t forget to try the discount code RAV10 for 10% discount on the yarn too.

Sadly not, DHL stopped working in Ireland after Brexit, they now use A n Post as their carriers here. I can't actually believe that they've delivered another parcel to the wrong address today, my husband ordered some things for his computer from Amazon, An Post have delivered it just not to our house

I'm working this morning with the Drops Tweed and I have to say, I'm not loving it. The texture is such that it doesn't move smoothly along the the hook. In addition, it's got no stretch to it. I even upped myself to a bigger hook than I really wanted to work with (I'm a tight crocheter) and it's not helping. The color is beautiful but I won't be ordering more of this yarn. ETA: I want to make sure lainey JoP and @patter see this.

That's really pretty and TOTALLY you! Well I had to switch gears because the pattern I originally had picked out was small. And the website did not state the amount of yarn correctly. So I ended up with about twice as much as I really needed. I made this one before and I ruined it upon washing. So I thought I'd give it another go. The pattern is actually really easy.

PLurker that is stunning. No wonder you got an immediate "yes." WOW! I am traveling home today. Look what my Dad purchased for me from my aunt. She no longer wanted it and was selling it at her garage sale. All proceeds went to the church youth program. Anyway, she wanted $20 for it. It is an amazing old dough bowl that she used to use for her crochet. I love it!

My SisIL came by yesterday and we had a play date. She's not all that crafty but I wanted to prove her wrong. 😉. I had precut pieces and "made her" paint her own after showing her how to paint it "brushless with a pallet or stiff something to allow woodgrain to show through. Turned out so cute and the smile and her face was even cuter! I'll come back in a bit and attach a pic of her results lying on my garage floor (just puzzle pieced together, not yet attached) I love your yarn bowl on stand! I bought one second hand store shopping intending to give it as a gift for someone but haven't seemed to let it go yet. Oops.😳 (Image of similar also to follow in link) images.app.goo.gl/eXJRKxxBGU5LFr6j7ETA forgot to say, whatever you are working on is beautiful!

@patter - Love that old dough bowl - and how you have repurposed it! I have a collection of old dough bowls, but none compare to that one in size! Now you have me thinking I should pull out a few more (some are always in use for fruit, veggies) and use them for my crafting!
Still no serious crafting mojo here, though I have been trying to teach myself how to make a vinyl word sticker for DH's Father's Day gift. If anyone can tell me how to weld three words together so they print as one I would be ever so grateful!

jeremysgirl , your shawl is turning out beautiful! Perfect for summer! And I decided to now organize my crochet hooks in a new way so that they could be in my dough bowl. I found a brush bag I was not using so it's perfect for my hooks.

Anyone following the Sixel Designs skull blanket release? I knew it was this week and I thought it was supposed to be today. I'm eager to buy and take a look at the pattern. I think I've got my colors worked out and I'm chomping at the bit to order and get started on this one. It might just shove all my other projects to the side.

It's being released on Thursday jeremysgirl . Have you seen the tester's version in blue variagated yarn? I like it a lot. Are you going to let us in on what colours you have chosen? I won't be doing the blanket, I am still plodding on with my cushion cover. It's not that it's difficult but it's not grabbing me. I think the yarn I'm using is probably not the best for the pattern. My next crochet project may be that cat blanket that is appearing, with the dog blanket.
