love the photos of nylene and gramma - how fun to meet up and craft together! joyfulnana - we're taking Dusty in tomorrow for his shots - he wasn't big enough last week. We'll need to schedule neutering also - he has to be at least 8wk/2lbs for that so it'll be a while. I think he's gained a little but not sure he's up to 1 lb yet. Our vet is still doing kerbside also. I'm glad you've got some time off scheduled for September - wish it weren't so far away, you've been working so hard for so long. Hopefully things start to slow down some. Another rainy day here - I had to go around yesterday and tip water OUT of my garden containers again - I haven't had to water in weeks but they're all drowning. We've had more than 8" of rain this month

Linda, I read your above post with envy. We are so dry in Utah that everything is burning up. We literally have about 25 fires already around the state. August is usually our month of fire season. We are rationing water already this summer. How I wish you could send some of those 8 inches this direction. It's nice to know that Dusty is thriving in your care. You are a great kitty mom. joyfulnana, gramma and I made the decision to meet up in CA during one of the Online Chats. She drove well over an hour to get to Angie's home and then had to drive back. She is such a sweetheart. She taught me how to use the new, cheaper blades in my Silhouette as well as how to make the accordion album. I'm sorry you have to wait until Sept to take a break, but it sounds like you have some relaxing plans. Is the We Create an online class or do you travel to it? kitbop, I keep thinking of you and your friend. I am so sorry for such a great loss to you and those who worked with her. It's a heartache. I have just dumped everything in my scraproom after our trip so my goal today is to find the tops of the tables!

Linda we had a couple weeks of gray skies and rain almost daily, but I don't think we got 8 inches. And I complained about no sunshine once we got to day 3. Now I'm complaining about the stifling heat and humidity lol. There is seriously no pleasing me when it comes to weather here! Well, there is, 70's and sunny with a breeze. Those days are few and far between in MO lol. nylene I've been loosely following the drought out West - it's horribly scary! I was on the phone with one of our outside sales guys that lives in Utah. He casually commented "oh the mountain is on fire. That's not good" He said it was quite a ways from him, but those fires can spread so quickly! We Create is an in person crop, for three days and I can't wait to get away! It's put on by Scrapbook Generation and is in Springfield, MO so about a 3 hour drive for me. I am getting excited for it. When I think of gramma I think "sweet with a side of snark" LOL! I love your snark gramma!

Hey Pokeys. Just got out of the shower after a couple of hours in the garden pulling weeds. Dh wants to string out the hoses to water it, and the temps are supposed to be quite high over the next few days, so I wanted to get the weeds before THEY took all the moisture for themselves. When my hair dries I need to drive to town to run some errands and pick up my meds in prep for my road trip tomorrow. Speaking as a prairie girl, joyfulnana, I think hot and humid is the WORST! Well, except for fires, I guess. Dry heat I can tolerate. Don't mind gloomy and cloudy if it actually RAINS. Don't like gloomy days with no rain and no sunshine. Linda, my garden would probably have soaked up all that water and said, "Ahhhh...", but we have had one big rain over the whole spring/early summer, and did not have much snow last winter, so our soil is really dry. Hence, dh's watering plans. Isn't it funny how we all have impressions of each other after interacting on the board and in the crops. For nylene, I would agree with gramma's description of "sweet". I like joyfulnana's assessment of gramma as "sweet with a side of snark". NOTE: I, too, love the snark! joyfulnana, I think of you as hard working and dependable and caring. And fun loving: I love that you turn on the cat's favourite TV program, and that Rudy obviously LOVES to spend time with you. I giggle when I see descriptions of me as energetic. I actually take alot of naps, and there are lots of days I get NOTHING done... Okay, off to get ready to go to town. Gotta be home in time for my nap LOL...

kellyr21 , your page is lovely. I love butterflies and yours are perfect. You have love in the gallery. Someday I would love to meet you in real life. I doubt I will ever get back to So. Calif, so if you come this way for anything, please let me know. I thought of you every time I saw a palm tree in CA! Sorry, grammadee , but I'm afraid on your days of getting nothing done, you do more than I do on my busy days! I have to agree with your description of joyfulnana . I, too, think of you as dependable, hardworking, and a hefty side of humor joyfulnana . Rudy and Abby are so lucky to have you in their lives. My family really enjoyed gramma 's snark, but she really kept it reined in when the family was around. LOL Such a fun day we had. I'm sorry it's so hot and muggy, joyfulnana . I seem to always wish for weather other than what we are experiencing. I'm just glad you get to go away and have scrappy fun in Sept. I went to Scrapfest in 2010 with 7 other Peas from the old board and we had the best time. I met scrapincin and shinyhappytina then. I know you will learn and do a lot of mental therapy, oops, I mean crafting while you are there. My goal was to find my table tops and instead I got an idea, and made a page and my tables don't look any better! So, back to sorting and organizing.

nylene - I would love to send you some of our rain...it's pouring again today and the 10-day forecast calls for daily rain every day. Drought and wildfires are scary. grammadee - I have to agree with nylene - you accomplish more being lazy than I can on a busy day. Energetic is a good description and I'll add creative. nylene always strikes me as sweet and kind and family oriented - I bet you're a fun grandma. joyfulnana - well I think her name fits well and I love her Rudy and Abby stories. gramma seems quiet with a snarky side but always willing to help someone. Took Dusty to the vet today for his first shots - he's doubled his weight since last Wednesday's visit and is now a full pound. He goes back in 3 weeks for his next shots. Homeschooling is down to one more lesson and two tests for Algebra and a research paper (with composition lessons for each step plus a test) for English. I'm ready to break for the summer. Trying to clean the house before DS comes home - tried to do yardwork too but only got maybe 1/4 of the azaleas pruned this morning and mowing is out of the question

nylene - I'm surprised you've not told them about my box making challenge and subsequent "magic trick" LOL, I thought I would leave that story for you to tell. I'm still laughing! We just needed more time! Linda, I must really have the wool pulled over the eyes of a lot of Pokeys if you think I'm sweet and kind. I have a temper too. I just try to keep it intact around others. LOL. I look forward to when I can "meet you" online, but I can tell you are extremely devoted to your family, organized, and hard working. Anyone who does homeschooling plus Girl Scouts gets a big hand from me! I am making a dent in the stacks of stuff on my tables. I did spend money today and bought some photo boxes that gramma recommended and I plan to fill some with photos, but mostly I want to organize my bags of embellishments like gramma does hers. She will have to show everyone online how wonderful her system is. I also spent several hours editing and ordering photos. I am anxious to get Kayla's wedding scrapped and the photos are now ordered.

I love your layout, kellyr21. I really enjoyed your video. I don't know why I don't think about painting embellishments so they are the perfect color for the page. I get great ideas from you. Your layout is lovely. There is love in the gallery.

I just realized there is a 2nd video. I will go watch it too, kellyr21 . These are more of Alyssa's Senior photos. The large one was not edited to hide her NG tube. The photographer did a beautiful job of editing it out on all the others. I'm glad she has one photo documenting this time during her Junior and Senior year. Adding another page of her photos. Just a quick note to let you know I am safely settled in at my ds’s home. DGS loved his scrapbook and gave me some pics for his very scaled down grad ceremony for me to scrap to add a couple pages to it. The colts are gone—sold this week— so I missed them. But lots of hanging out and baseball this weekend. Already have some cool shots of the younger boys playing frisbee. The almost 8 year old said “Let’s play frisbee. Gramma, did you bring your camera?”
Okay off to bed with me.

“Let’s play frisbee. Gramma, did you bring your camera?” This made me laugh out loud. It's obvious that he loves playing with gramma, but also loves seeing the photos you scrap for him. So sweet. I'm glad to know that you made it safely! I'm off to scrap with the Card Club members who are immunized. I don't know what will happen with our anti-vaxers. Our hostess is in her 80's and is being very careful. I just look forward to having some of us together.

Hey Pokeys. I am home. Left this morning. Stopped mid way to print pics and hit Costco. Picked up pizza on my way home b/c dd & family arrived this afternoon to get their rev trailer ready to head out to the lake on Wednesday. The guys wanted to try the local shop’s dill pickle pizza. Dd and I had a much more mundane one.

kellyr21- congratulations! That's awesome that your pages are being recognised like that MARIBETHR - love that quote - thank you! grammadee -welcome home! Dill pickle pizza sounds...unusual. Did they like it? I think I'll stick with my veggie pizza. We had a nice afternoon at a local park - there's a broadwalk by a small waterfall. We've had so much rain this month that there isn't a waterfall - it's underwater because the the river is so high. Still very peaceful and pretty though.

Good morning peas. grammadee - glad you had a safe trip and I hope you get to sleep in this morning because that sounds like a long day and a late night for you. kellyr21 - congrats on being featured! I'll admit I never go to the SB.com gallery except when you point us there - their designers seem very talented, but I struggle to make their filters work so that I'm seeing everyone else's work and not only digital layouts (strange that their gallery is heavily digital when their store doesn't even sell them!) MARIBETHR - did you see Simone Byles fall off the balance beam and carry on? Everyone is human, even the greats. Love the quote.

Linda , I am sure you are having a great time with DS, even if you are just sitting and visiting. It has been hard to be away from family the last 18 months. grammadee , I am glad you are home safe and sound and had a good trip. You don't seem as worn out after traveling as I do. Seems it gets harder and harder to travel very far. kellyr21 , congrats on being featured at Scrapbook.com. It doesn't surprise me though. You do such classy work and that's what they like to see. I seldom get there anymore. I have enough trouble keeping up with everything on this site. I do miss my old Peas friends from long ago who are on that site. I will try to get there more often. You have love in the gallery on your latest creations. MARIBETHR , thanks for the quotes. It's nice to come here to find something inspiring first thing in the morning. You have been a busy bee this month. I hope you have enjoyed being on a team. gramma , after working on the title block I must not have saved it. I was sure I had, in fact, am having trouble with a file where it should have gone. I had to start over again, but that was good practice. I haven't had time to put the pages together, but hope to do that tonight. How are you doing? kitbop, how are things going for you. Are you back to work?
