The parents of this kids are paying these folks to bring their kids and “drop” them off at the border. That doesn't make them any less safe from abuse and harm. actually no, the kids are not kept in cages. They are processed and moved to other locations. The Biden Administration, while at first were overwhelmed with these kids have gotten the process down to two-three days before they are moved. Good to know that they have improved the process. Yes they are kept in the exact same "cages" that were used under Trump. Now that Biden is using them, they are "facilities". Funny how that works. The vast majority of drugs are smuggled in through legal checkpoints, via tunnels, & by sea. “We had almost an 800% increase April over April of the amount of fentanyl that has been apprehended by the Texas Department of Public Safety. We have obtained enough fentanyl coming across the border to kill every single person in the state of New York.” Governor Abbott That reversal was to get the folks out of terrible living conditions, something former didn’t care about. Actually the Biden Administration is deporting folks under article 42. Quit a few actually. I guess Biden doesn't care about their terrible living conditions either if he's deporting them back into it. Going by your own logic and all. oh bullshit. That’s not true. Absolutely true. For giggles sake I asked my friend google if the President of Guatemala said what you’re claiming. Couldn’t find it. So if you have a link…. Definition of “root” (non plant related) - “The basic cause , source, or origin of something”. Contrary to what you are pushing, finding the root cause won’t be found at the southern border but at the point of origin. Which happens to be the countries these folks are leaving from. Finding and dealing with the "root cause" takes time and meanwhile their policies and words are putting people in danger and not fixing the crisis. But one thing for sure whether or not Vice President Harris goes to the border for a photo op, nothing is going to change. That's obvious when this administration's words and actions are at odds. |

Is this respect for office a new concept? Or were the various names used to refer to the past administration to be thought of as "respectful". I don't care what side of the political aisle you are on; but the double standard needs to go. And personal attacks on those that post are not an acceptable way of having a "respectful" conversation. It is not up to any of us to decide what the motivation for one's post is. And for those that decide to personally attack me in lieu of any type of adult conversation; do your homework first and check what my typical post content is or is not. You are missing the point that as a miserable excuse for a human being, trump did not deserve respect. He repeatedly proved that fact by his actions, his tweets, his ridicule of anyone who did not worship at his feet. The office may have deserved respect, the man holding that office proved to be completely unworthy of that respect. He was and still is a complete and utter self-serving jackass. You are missing the point that as a miserable excuse for a human being, trump did not deserve respect. He repeatedly proved that fact by his actions, his tweets, his ridicule of anyone who did not worship at his feet. The office may have deserved respect, the man holding that office proved to be completely unworthy of that respect. He was and still is a complete and utter self-serving jackass. Not saying there are not things to criticize but it is every thread any maybe every day. I don’t see you engaging in any non political threads and a lot of time you don’t post your thoughts other than more tweets. I feel like I don’t “know” you for anything other than that. However, I will say you aren’t nasty and you are not a pea that name calls and insults. So you are different than Skybar in that way. Which is very much appreciated! The beauty of a board like this is we get to decide how much of us we want to reveal. On this board it’s my political side. I had a long response typed out kind of explaining things and decided screw this. If you don’t like my political threads, please ignore them. We get to decide what threads we want to start and what threads to post in. There are a lot of threads I look at and think “why?” “Who cares”, “TMI means TMI so let’s keep it that way” and “call a doctor”. But I also believe in “whatever floats your boat” so I keep my comments to myself because it’s the polite thing to do and I ignore the threads. But I do appreciate that you let me know why you think I’m an extremist. |

I do scroll past them because other than tweet or link to an article there is no content. It would be nice if you posted your thoughts and opinions on what you are referencing so from there we can have a discussion. I am not saying we need to know your birth date and blood type. I understand keeping info private as I try to make sure I am not giving out enough information that people know where I work and where I live. There are other ways of interacting on this board. Are you a foot flusher? Do you return your cart to the corral? Do you have any guilty pleasures that everyone would be surprised to know about you like watching the Kardashians or Bachelor?  There are many peas that are the complete opposite of me politically but we share the opinion that there is a special place in hell for the people that leave their cart out in the parking lot. They became relatable to me. I like to find some sort of commonality with peas. Anyway, that was all I was trying to say. |

I have a random question: is it normal to refer to Kamala Harris as 'Kamala', the way the OP has done? Australians and South Africans are quite casual about referring to politicians by their first names or even nicknames e.g. our current PM (Scott Morrisson) is known as Scomo (or Scotty from Marketing 😁) and the leader of the the official opposition (Anthony Albanese) is known as Albo. TV hosts will even call former PMs by their first names during televised interviews or panel shows. But on American TV or internet boards, etc, I usually see American politicians referred to by their surnames, e.g. Trump, Biden, Obama, Cruz. I understand referring to HRC by her first name to distinguish her from Bill Clinton, and of course George W Bush was called Dubya on message boards to distinguish him from his father. But why call Kamala Harris Kamala rather than Harris? Is this a normal thing, or an OP thing? It’s meant to be a sign of disrespect and degeneration of her as a woman and a VP.. The op is a die hard trumper/republican. Our local Fox News does this—will say President in front of trump but refers to President Biden as Joe Biden or Biden. There are many peas that are the complete opposite of me politically but we share the opinion that there is a special place in hell for the people that leave their cart out in the parking lot.
