This is a scraplift of lesley 's layout a few posts up. I'm almost embarrassed to post it, I pretty much copied it exactly. I even used the same colours for crying out loud! I had every intention of changing it up a bit and using completely different colours, but the photo said otherwise. Thanks for the inspiration Lesley! My mojo has disappeared this month so all of pages so far have been sketches, templates or scraplifts.
I like yours more than mine! Except for the fact you don’t have a Tufty in yours of course… I love the four little strips you’ve added to the top left. It really helps with the balance. I knew mine needed something more but couldn’t work out what. I think between us we’ve come up with a winner!

Linda, your documentation of your new surroundings makes for a lovely LO. Love the panels of greenery and the boots. And it is wonderful seeing you in your new craftroom and loving your Midnight. And on to page TWO: Linda, the Halloween pp is perfect for scrapping about your black cats! I can't read the journaling on the space page, but assuming these photos are from a trip to Cape Kennedy? Great paper for that theme! And love how your cats are getting educated! University, yet! Love that black/red/white colour combo. love how you used Cat Lover. Have a feeling that line will get lots of use! Beautiful flower pic's. The gnome and his bee look right at home on that page. azcrafty I just may need to lift that delightful bd card! Love all the musical notes and images. And that greeting is perfect. And the vellum adds such elegance to that Christmas card: beautiful. craftymom101, Finnigan is so ugly he is CUTE! Love the photo, and it is sweet that you used those pastel (baby colours, maybe?) to represent that although he is SOOOO big, he is really just a baby. Love your layering. Your LO's have sold more than one of those kits to me...

These are about meeting up with gramma . I'll be back later to catch up on all your wonderful work. That’s such a wonderful thing to be able to document! And a perfect story to use all those fun Doodlebug pieces. That’s such a fun collection. It’s neat to see you two in action. So glad you were able to meet up and have a good time together. Now I need to go and buy that collection, even though I’ve been telling myself not to shop! It’s so cute.

So beautifully scrapped. kitbop, you have love in the gallery. Each of your pages are perfection! craftymom101, now that is one big dog! What a sweetie to let the kids manhandle him! I love the combo of b&w photos as well as colored. The bright accents are really eye-catching. Great page. Linda, I love that you scrapped her “mood” octopus. She seems to enjoy it as much as you do.~I love the ribbons on the left of your horse page. They remind me of County Fair awards. Your older striped paper was a perfect match.~ I can never get enough of your Dusty pages. What a loving and beautiful kitty.~ Great use of all sizes of hexagons on your bean page. That’s a very fun page design.~Great page of Dusty and Mini. I’m glad your cats all seem to get along. It’s because you have enough love for each one.~ So nice to have Simon home. It will be hard when you have only one left at home.~I was interested in your holly page. I have never seen it growing! Did you transplant it yet? AussieMeg and grammadee, you have lots of love in the gallery. @zingermack, that paper is fabulous. Wow, I would buy that in an instant! I love your Easter page with the stripes going 2 ways. Linda- your "Dusty" layout got an audible "awww" from me! And I love the layers on your chess page! grammadee - wow, your mojo took a boost from your absence??? Those pages are awesome! Your clusters. Your torn edges! All 3 are gorgeous. I *think* you mean 49th and market "hike more" papers, not concord and 9th? Or are those 2 companies related and I don't know it? Anyways, it's a line that I'm slowly collecting pieces of myself!!!

Linda, more Dusty pages. He is so cute and is very photogenic. I'm glad you adapt the sketches. Next month I plan to wait until you adapt a sketch and then I will try it. Looks like you have a family of chess players. I wish I had learned. Here's a page about our new little great-grandson, born on DH's birthday. Baby Boy

Whoops! It IS 49th & Market . I was posting this after I had put the collection back into the summer/camping bin. Off to edit my post and Flickr description!
I see you mentioned on Flickr that you are planning to try the transfer paste with stencils. The only advice I have is to use a really thin layer. If you have it too thick, it will spread in the process of heating it in the laminator and the edges get messy. In the workshop this past weekend, the rep suggested using a broad applicator (which I own but couldn't find when I needed it). But a palette knife works just as well if you keep smoothing off the excess paste.

On to page THREE There will be love in the Gallery for AussieMeg , nylene , kitbop The time you spent was definitely worth it, lostwithout2peas! You did a great job of using that sketch. Love how that broad strip pulls all the layers together, and your "Frankentien" border! That photo is adorable, lesley ! And that page is designed beautifully. The vertical border strips with the layered rectangles creates interest, and I love how the stitching ties everything together. Perfect title. Finn is having such a wonderful life in your household, craftymom101 , and you are scrapping his adventures beautifully. Love the fun b&w photos (perfect for Finn, of course) with the bright summer colours, the torn edges, all the little extras. Linda , you are rockin' those Sketchy Saturday sketches! Love the photo of Dusty all tucked in, and all the pretty colours around it. So... is he taking up scrapbooking? So cute! Love the photo of him in your dd's hands: he is really GROWING! YAnd I love the garden and birdie photos too: such a cool slice of your life. Your horse riding pages are awesome: that red/blue stripe is perfect with her shirt and it combines well with the brown. I am jealous of your native plants; that holly is beautiful. Good to see you taking your Cricut out for a spin. @zingermack , your mixed media page is GORGOUS!!! So many layers, and the colours work so beautifully. When I try for that many layers the result is more often a muddy brown... And your Easter page is so happy and bright: love the hearts.

In the workshop this past weekend, the rep suggested using a broad applicator I have these! I haven't used them as much as I expected, but I can totally imagine how they would help in using this decopaste. Thanks for the info because I might have thought thicker was better.

Linda , great job on those 2 sketches. I love all your cute little bees and flowers. I always love soft gingham colors. I love the silhouettes you used on Wildlife. Your having wildlife so close and around you makes me envious. That photo is beautiful and looks like the area is so relaxing. As we drove around in Idaho last week, my heart longed to return to a less crowded place to live. Beautiful work. ETA: Are your pieces curling because the mat is sticky? When my mat is sticky I try to turn it over and peel the mat from the cut piece instead of peeling the cut piece off the mat. I get less curling especially on large pieces.

Would you believe I live in a subdivison? We're very fortunate to have so much green space and a creek in the neighbourhood. I appreciate the cricut tips - yes, it's a new mat and super sticky.

Finished these two cards last night and got a chance to photograph & upload this morning. They are for my dgs and dgd, siblings that were born 6 years apart on the same birthday. I knew I wanted to play on the Sweet 16 theme in a shaker card for her, but was struggling to come up with a card design for him. Then remembered the diecut beer mug in my stash. Pulled out the bin it was in and discovered the sweet treats in a different pkg of diecuts. Brew for you by Gramma Dee, on Flickr sweet 16 shaker by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Played around with dimension on these. Lots of foam layers...
Points: two 5x7 cards created & shared. Easy Peasy points =34.

Belatedly sharing what I've been working on this past weekend. I need to make some cards for my SIL in Hawaii and she specifically asked for more of the Damask Love paper with the classy Hawaiian inspired florals. It's so hard to find Hawaii stuff that isn't cheesy or garish or full of cultural appropriation. I used some basic designs similar to the cards I made last time, some Sheetload inspired, some using my new oval dies, and some rose gold cs from Michaels. August share by jo.blackford, on Flickr August share by jo.blackford, on Flickr The colorful abstract paper is on the other side of the palm trees but I decided I liked the abstract a lot, especially behind the "big" August share by jo.blackford, on Flickr I got warmed up one day by sticking down these scraps of wrapping paper from gifts SIL gave me. They're double sided and more like newsprint than wrapping paper (they're eco and recyclable) but I thought they were too cute to toss. August share by jo.blackford, on Flickr And once I ran out of floral paper I moved on to using up the rest of the Damask Love supplies I had. Her papers are difficult for me to mix and match and I struggle with some of the die cuts too - the scale is weird and they have colored backgrounds... so these were the easier ones. Actually these are mostly stickers I saved from a previous collection, and a few random additions from my stash. August share by jo.blackford, on Flickr I thought I'd given away the rest of the Damask Love paper pad but I found it right after I finished these cards so now I'm working on some really simple cards to use it up. I want to use some more die cuts from her collection and pair them with old Doodlebug puns I have spare. Hoping to get those finished today and then give away the last of the die cuts and be done! I struggled to mix and match strip scraps but already put most of them in the trash or used them behind die cuts for free dimension.

Finally got back to your cards on Flickr, joblackford! And there is love there for you, AussieMeg and nylene. Linda, you have been motoring through those sketches! Good job! I love all of Dusty's pages. I just want to reach into my computer and pet him. Great seeing the sibling chess match, and getting a glips of your garden. To answer your question about the edges rolling up after removing the pp from the Cricut mat, maybe cut down on the pressure you are using so the paper is not stuck so hard to the mat. Or another idea I would suggest cutting them upside down. I sometimes hand roll my diecuts so that they pop up a bit in the middle, and then stick them down with foam tape. I put together two pinwheel tower cards today and photographed all the faces of one of them to share in the Gallery. I will try to get a shot tomorrow of the cards standing to share here.
