Ok, so this December is going to be interesting. I was so gung-ho for the season, I was ready to put my tree up with aaaallllll the decorations way back in October (that was 65 million years ago now!!!) I still want to do aaaaalll the things, but I'm so fricken exhausted. I can see my album this year. 1 Dec - pretty tired 2 Dec - still tired . . 10 Dec - feeling exhausted . . 13 Dec - interestingly, feeling like I could sleep for 50 thousand years and still need a nap . . 15 Dec - well these PJs make a good change from the other PJs seriously - what is with this year?? it's like anything remotely fun has fallen into the 2021 vacuum which is dedicated to sucking anything good and fun right out of the atmosphere. Oh - and my knowledge of the greek alphabet probably could be included in the album this year too!!!! (((((HUGS)))))
I think alot of people are feeling the exhaustion for alot of different reasons this year. Where things have opened up, we are afraid to plan for fear the events WILL be cancelled, as they have in the past. The organizers are afraid to go all out planning, so events are smaller and for some of us "don't feel quite right".
Is it like childbirth? Agony at the time, but then we remember the glory of meeting the baby? Have we always been tired at this time of year, then forget that when we recall all the fun we had? And it has been a full two years since our last "normal" December. As we frantically try to bring everything back to normal, did we forget all the little glitches that happened then, too?
Oh, and we definitely need to document the Greek alphabet! Had never heard of Omicron before!
I typed a whole lot, but, honestly, grammadee you nailed (at least my) feelings. It hasn't just been the last two years since "normal" holidays. I look back and miss the happiness of Christmas and Thanksgiving when the kids were little and the whole host of things that made those years special (and tough.)

Photos are set to private 😁 step by step would be great as I am not a social media sharing things online kinda gal so have no previous experience! Sure, this is my method of sharing so I'm happy to help. Once you've logged in, go to your Camera Roll by selecting it from the menu that will show when you click on "You". Select the photo you wish to share by expanding it (clicking on the upper right corner). When it has expanded, choose "View on photo page" (right left corner of the page). You will be taken to a new tab with your photo showing. Do not click on it. Instead, hit the download icon (right left corner of the page). A menu with different sizes will pop up, don't select any but choose "View all sizes". Your private photo will now show with a selection of sizes you can click on. Pick the right size you wish to share. The photo will automatically reload in that size. Hit the right button on your mouse and select "Copy image address". Come back to your post tab on 2PR and select the image icon in the menu bar at the top of the Reply/Quick Reply window. Paste the image address in the pop-up window that will have appeared. Hit "Insert image". Voilà, done! 😘 thank you! Will use this as a guide and try to load some pics tonight 😁

I’m cheering you guys along in the background. Still taking pictures and figuring out my stories. Things have been a bit hectic but I’ve been diligent about chronicling everything. I also got a creative spurt from all of this holiday crafting and I’ve been making Christmas cards that I’m actually going to send out this year.
Todays story is my favorite: I was stressed out thinking I wouldn’t be able to make my Christmas morning cinnamon rolls due to the cream cheese shortage. This morning I went to my absolute favorite bagel shop for a bagel and LO AND BEHOLD the had an entire well stocked shelf of cream cheese. Cinnamon rolls saved. Bagel was perfect. Lots of sunrise pictures because I was there at the crack of dawn (the only time parking is easy).
I plan to catch up with actual layouts this weekend. I love reading/seeing what everyone is doing.

I just downloaded Elif Sahin's Star on Top bundle which is half price on the Lilypad today. I love the way she includes both letter size and A4 sized pages ready to print and cut - the elements printed and cut *perfectly* . Very cute! the-lilypad.com/store/Star-On-Top-Bundle-SD50.html

DECEMBER 17 Screen //Photo prompt: For many of us, this month is one of hibernating in front of the TV, smartphone in our hands, scrolling through social media. Watching Christmas movies, teens staying in touch with friends over the Christmas break, playing on the Switch while roadtripping to go visit family, using a tablet or Echo Show to follow recipes in the kitchen, funny things you've seen your security cameras capture this month. But also the cat snoozing away in front of the fire screen or going back to the cinema after many months of being locked down. Observe the many ways screens pop up in your life right now. Story prompt: "Screen time" Record how you're spending time on your screens. You could document the most used screen of each family member and why they love it so much during the festive season. You could also create a pie chart tracking the amount of time you spend on each one of your screens per day. Don't forget about the small stuff: taking selfies with special holiday filters, using your phone to send snail mail, setting up the LED lights with your phone or tablet, etc. Song of the day:

I think I have finally conquered the Minc. Nothing produces a result like a home laser printer. The difference between that and items ordered from Staples is massive! It works like a dream.
I bought a used small size laser printer off of Craigslist. It’s an older model and only prints in b&w. Finding a cardstock that would feed through was a challenge, I narrowed it down to 65lb. Now I am a Minc-ing fool. So fun.
In order to justify buying the purchase of something I’ll probably use only a few times a year, I’m letting my kids keep custody of the printer during the year. They are still in school and don’t have a reliable printer. Any excuse, amiright?

Being perfectly honest here, I haven't scrapped one page yet. I got as far as my stuff is assembled and I pulled out my DD stamps. That's it. I haven't even watched any of Ali's videos. This month has been more busy for me and I'm going to give myself some grace and just commit to a picture a day and I'll assemble the album later. I just don't have it in me right now. This is me too. I figure I'll have time for everything in January. I'm just taking my pics and taking notes.

With my new job, I now have "weekends" again!! So today's DD will be a "FRIYAY". I got the Cricut Joy out, cut "FRIYAY" out of several pieces of paper, then did some multi-media paint splatting in coordinating colors on a blank piece of cardstock to make a foundation page. I broke out the gingerbread house kit and glued together the foundation of the house. I will add the roof tomorrow, then decorate it on Sunday, so I can DD about it!

Not me getting my cut wrong while watching the first episode of season 2 of The Witcher last night. Look, it's a very engaging series, ok? I wasn't going to reprint my photo as I'm close to being out of photo paper + ink for my Selphy. So, I guess my album is now 3.75x3.75 instead of 4x4? C'est la vie, baby, c'est la vie...

Mount that photo on 4x4 paper and now it has a border! Problem solved. And I have def made that error before. *facepalm*
