If *you* aren't happy then yes. I really like it. But I too have redone 2 pages as I just wasn't feeling it and fixed a few little errors. Nothing wrong with that.

That stamping doesn't bother me at ALL, but if it bothers you, then you should do it again. I love the homemade imperfect look. I always think of stamping that if I wanted it perfect I would do it digitally and print it out.

Day 17 is complete. It is about our weekly trips to the car wash. One of my ds' favorite activities. http://instagram.com/p/CXusaPVFyMI And Day 19 is about the Burrage Mansion drive thru event. I scanned the booklet we got about the various lights and used that as a cover and added photos to the backside of the page protector. http://instagram.com/p/CXusmgCFKHG

Here are some pages from my completed 2020 and 2019 6x8 album (completed this year, had more pics but they didn't upload!): The last is a transparency for this year with added stickers with the title on a page underneath

I wish I had the stamina you think I have! I’m good for a few days then it’s fits and spurts after that. The prepping I did in advance really helped this year. Today I will make a page about the solstice.

blemon I actually love the imperfect stamping. Especially with that retro typewriter font. I plan on using that roller stamp later in the month for a mini DITL as well and my stamping won't be better than yours, trust me. Take another look at your project and try to see what seems off to you because I really think the stamping is ok. Maybe you can test print a few typed journaling strips to lay over your handwriting and see if that brings a cleaner and sharp look you may be craving if you're a Geralyn fan? I'm not sure. I actually really like it as it currently is but sometimes it's something as simple as restoring the messy vs clean balance that helps your brain to calm down. Congrats on managing to do a DITL during such a busy month and project! It's always a challenge.

DECEMBER 21Technicolour //Photo prompt: The brightest, the liveliest! Christmas is filled with colours and turns December into a feast for the eyes. As the Northern hemisphere grows sombre, the world is set ablaze with lights and decorations. Go hunt for a photograph of as many colours as possible. Play with your camera to let these colours come to life in different ways and don't shy away from a good ol' bokeh aesthetic. Creative prompt: This is not a drill. This is it. All the holiday papers that you thought were too loud and too "in your face" to be used? Yep, this is your time to let them shine and puzzle them together in some way. You can basket-weave strips, stitch squares together patchwork-style, cut them up and use them to fill pockets. Go nuts! You can always turn your photo black & white to let the funky papers take the centre stage. Song of the day:

Dh was a good sport and took 2 photos of me in one of my KC Chiefs jerseys for my day 16 layout. It will be about the Chiefs vs Chargers game. Also thinking of printing out the Chiefs arrowhead symbol and using that as a page divider. Or on the front side of the not in a page protector layout and photos on the back. Decisions. Decisions.

Congrats on managing to do a DITL during such a busy month and project! It's always a challenge. Thank you! It was fun. And also manageable because the semester is over and I can work from home. I was able to do a bit at home, go into the office, then be at home early. I just jotted down notes throughout the day and had my family send me some pics. I like that it's a glimpse into our daily routine. I have two of the panels on the back of my day 14 (two 3X8s side by side). Then the last 3 are in a 3X8 page protector with another taped to it to make a fold over flap. The back of the one panel faces my day 16 so it will be the text for that page. I'm working on it now. It's the fabric pocket that I'm making tags for. I've been gathering screenshots from FB and Insta and will print them out and stick them on the tags. I feel like everything is taking me a really long time this year and it's partly because I can't craft at my craft table because of the new kitten (aka wildman). So I have to put everything away every day. Super annoying. I don't know how people do it.

There's something about Geralyn's designs that I find tricky to work with on paper - I love the look of her hybrid work but my handwriting is too loose and uncontrolled to go in those little boxes she leaves. I usually use her pieces for digital pages. blemon I know I already said my piece on IG but looking at the pages again I think they look great, especially in the context of your album. There's a little bit of the IACB clean background/simple title work, a little bit of crafty stamping, a lot of your memories and your character in the form of your handwriting. Hopefully you'll stop seeing the flaws and enjoy the overall look, but also, it's only paper, if you have time and you really want to you can always have a do-over Have you shared a photo of your wildman? I might've missed it. I bet he's a really cute pain in the butt.

blemon, I will echo everyone else’s sentiments, looks good to me, be ultimately it’s your album. I have all my photos printed to date and my stories mapped out, as usual I struggle with the journaling so here I am. Being so close to Christmas, I was starting to get very excited, but today brought news of my DD being exposed to Covid as well as some close friends, so while we wait for test results the wind has gone out of my sails a bit. In the case of DD, she is vaccinated, her friends that exposed her are vaccinated, and the person that exposed them also vaccinated. Sigh.

So sorry to hear that, praying that the result is negative for you all as that would be a SUCKY Christmas (although a unique dd story to be sure.) I’m still waiting for my little ones to be eligible in January for a vaccination, only a couple of weeks to go! Sounds like we all need a few pics of a certain kitten to brighten up our day (hint hint) 😉

karinec Oh no! It looks like there will be quite a few Covid Christmas celebrations this year. Two of my friends have just tested positive and both had managed to remain Covid-free so far into the pandemic despite being school teachers (and schools only closed for a few weeks in total over here). They've been frontline since the start but Omicron is a major pain in the buttocks. Fingers crossed for your daughter. *hugs*

aw jeez google tells me the plant is poisonous so it's really in DO NOT EAT territory lol The berries and leaves are toxic to humans. The berries have a laxative effect... Went on a bush walk today and found a spindle tree in flower… happy to report I was not tempted to try one of the berries 😇

By the way, lg, I cannot see your Flickr photos. Not sure what's happening. I've tried a US VPN as well and extracted the URLs from BBCode but I keep getting a "These aren't the droids you're looking for" message from Flickr (which is their standard error). Can you see them in this thread? Is it just me?

They show up on my screen (of course!) but I did have an issue when I loaded them in that a number did not show as images. And I’ve been unable to reply to topics a few times as the servers have been down/not working so it might be an “Aussie trying to link images to a US site” kind of issue. Bummer! I promise they are good 😁

Even the simplest pages are taking me a long time. I will need to figure out why before next year. I am struggling with titles. And that's probably just because I'm running on fumes here. blemon, I will echo everyone else’s sentiments, looks good to me, be ultimately it’s your album. Thank you! My daughter has her last day of school today before the holidays. Omicron was found in the county south of us and we've not gotten news of it being here yet. I wanted to keep her home just in case. With this strain I'm not sure masks are enough in the schools. They are still pretty close together in classes. Good luck! We do know that vaxxed people aren't getting very sick but even still, fingers crossed for you! Can you see them in this thread? Is it just me? I can't see them either -- here or on my phone. I'm using firefox with a Mac or my iphone with safari. And to all, I will post pics of Milo right now.

Milo is a an all black kitty, be still my heart... 🖤 (thank you for taking on a black cat as they are so hard to adopt out due to old superstitions) He looks like he's thinking up his next mischief in the first photo, not gonna lie. 😁 I'm glad you've come to peace with your lovely DITL pages. Now to figure out why neither of us can see lg 's photos...

I love playing with paper and being creative but I also want to finish the project because it's more than just a craft to me. These books really are very important to our family. I agree with this sentiment. My scrapbooking has become so much more simple as I've gotten older and further along with it. My mission is to just get pictures in albums and stories told.

My daughter has a small fake tree in her room that we decorated with ornaments that could not break and had no sentimental value and I just heard it crash. Now he's very loudly eating dry food. I've never had a cat eat so loudly. I think he thinks he's a monkey or something. He only wants to climb. But yes, we wanted to adopt a black cat. There's a local rescue in town. One of their fosters found him on the side of the road, poor thing.

Thanks to my epson picture mate I’m scrapping every day. I’m just not motivated to photograph and share. We’re doing three (yes threes) advent calendars and I’m doing a notebook for those. Then I’ve started on my regular Xmas notebook. I’m finding the cocoa daisy kits, even the special Xmas one, aren’t Christmasy enough. I mean there’s a shitload of snowflakes which thanks to global warming we might not even get this year since we got snow last year. I’m using more of the Ali edwards advent calendar items to give my pages the pops of red I want.

The $40 price scared me off, but I think I would have really enjoyed it. I won't make this mistake next year.

Ali only has a few days left and it feels like a lot of her foundation pages aren't going to be used.
She mentioned something about it in her video today, that they essentially served their purpose for inspiration and getting her into the project but that some of them won't get used.
I didn't even see that big red felt page as she flipped through her remaining foundation pages. I wondered if that one was going to get floppy and be essentially unusable in an album. It looked great but not very practical.
