Ohhhh my. I have not been impressed with Ali’s DD products in a few years ( tired of her handwriting on everything) and so far the sneaks look great!! The transparency and lots of things without her handwriting!

I feel like Ali's DD is ripping off KP's usual DD vibe. Does that make sense? I hope KP/PP's kits are amazing, but I'm glad it's looking like some of our International Peas might get their hands on some good AE stuff. Barring any shipping issues..

This is killing me! Does anyone have a date for when the complete collection will be shown? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy and use Vicki Boutins Christmas line. I don't want to purchase her collection then regret not waiting for AEs.

Does anyone have a date for when the complete collection will be shown? Last year's full video walk-throughs dropped on Wednesday September 2nd. The blog post with the products came a day earlier, on September 1st. Usually, Ali will post the full DD schedule in the last week of August. I feel like Ali's DD is ripping off KP's usual DD vibe. Does that make sense? I hope KP/PP's kits are amazing, but I'm glad it's looking like some of our International Peas might get their hands on some good AE stuff. Barring any shipping issues.. The vibe so far is definitely more modern, younger, I agree. I still think we're getting sneaked the "best" bits first and we'll have way more AE handwriting and typical DD stuff when the full product line is revealed. But yes, as an international, PRAISE BE! I still like the Paper Person sneak the best out of the bunch but an alternative is welcomed with open arms. (Shan't comment on the shipping shambles, ahem.)

On the topic of Hallmark movies, I was checking the Fall Harvest schedule and... why did nobody warn me Hallmark stole Juan Pablo di Pace after he did that LGBTQ Christmas romance for Paramount Network (Dashing in December) last year? Yes, Hallmark, yes! Juan carried that movie. Hallmark is really turning into the openly gay actors doing hetero flicks channel though. I wonder how the family-fun-!!!!11! anti-gay brigade is able to rationalise that but oh well, go get your easy paycheck, Juan.

Usually Ali is either "rad" or traditional holiday quotes, not trying to snag "Home Alone" and put it in her bag. I agree, PP still looks better, I just hope KP got her hands on some fancy stuff like AE has. Transparencies (non AC manufactured) would be lovely... I get that that might not have happened though with the business sizes in play. Booty, the offer still stands to mail you anything you want from PP. You just might get it in January... >.>

Maybe it’s the colors, but the Ali sneak is giving me a Elle’s Studio vibe 🤷🏻♀️ I get a Crate Paper vibe. Seems like everyone is jumping on that aesthetic this year. Good for my wallet, since I’m not a fan. This sneak does nothing for me.

So far the Ali and PP sneaks aren’t really grabbing me. I’m holding out for FYC and hoping Geralyn also designs some printables for her own shop, which hasn’t been updated since last Christmas. Although like most, I have plenty of Christmas stash that I need nothing!

I missed that one, so now it's on my list for this season! And moving to Hallmark? Sweet! It was a cowboy Christmas romance, kid you not. Horseback riding and boots and all. ETA: Juan Pablo di Pace will be playing a sommelier in his Fall Harvest movie, by the way. And he likes Disney. Yah, I stan! https://www.instagram.com/p/CQr7HHjn2qf https://www.instagram.com/p/CSNi68bpbll PS: Waiting to see how Ali's DD release works out for me. I might end up NAH-ing out of it and getting obsessed with Paper Person... If so, I'll PM you and see if a January delivery is possible.

Fingers crossed! I'm just really surprised how much later Pinkfresh are launching their Christmas collection. Last year, it was mid-July.

Juan Pablo di Pace also sings! So I wonder if we'll get another song with Laura Osnes being his costar.
...also hoping we get another sneak today

Ladies, start your prepping engines because we are exactly (-ish, depending on where you are in the world) 16 weeks away from December 1st! (I'm not in denial. You're in denial.)Yep, 16 weeks left. Between the December Daily pre-orders, the DIY kit assembly, the pulling-from-the-ever-growing-stash sessions, the gifts to buy, the decorations to get down from the attic, the family photos for the Christmas card, the kids' Christmas plays, it'll be here before you know it. To help us along the path of a smooth December documenting season, there'll be a weekly guide to break down the mammoth task into small, bite-sized chunks. Week 1: AUDIT // SPACEThis week, we look at how December documenting takes up space in our lives, be it during December or throughout the year. The questions are meant to assist you in observing, analysing and making informed decisions as you navigate not only the setup for your December documenting but also your pre-orders, orders and product selection. 1. How much space is given to your actual December projects? Are you adding LOs to your yearly album? Are you filling separate, chunky yearly DD binders? Are you happy with how all of this is organised? Would you like to change storage? What's been holding you back in making those changes? Would you like to change your format? Do you need to scale back due to change in available space (the pandemic has impacted many of us with remote working, remote schooling but also downsizing or moving)? 2. How much space is taken up by your December products? Do you have the right organisation for all of it? Do you need to figure out a system that makes navigating these products easier (separating them from the rest of your stash, containers that fit your needs better, a different place to store the December stuff, etc.)? Is it time to do an inventory and see what you have enough/too much/too little of before all the major December kit providers open up shop for pre-orders? 3. What does your actual December documenting space look like? Do you have a desk and setup that benefits your December project? Can you think of any issues you've had in years before if you've used this space in the past? Natural light (and how different it is during the winter - or summer if you're down under), artificial light sources, where your most used tools for DD go, etc. Try to identify the pros and cons of your elected spot. If you don't have a specific space to document from through the Yuletide season, do you feel the need to have one or to come up with a system that will make setting up a nomadic desk easy as December comes around? 4. Finally, flip through some albums and soak up the memories by focusing on space within the pages... and photos! Are you finding the balance in your previous albums good? Enough white space for your eyes to rest as you reminisce? Too much white space and lack of creative play? How about the representation of space and surroundings in your pictures? Are you seeing enough of your home, the town, the décor, the furniture? Are you zooming in too often or cutting out "noise" too much to the point of losing the sense of space and time (cultural references, interior design trends, etc.)? Happy thinking and welcome to the slow'n'easy (and hopefully super relaxed) countdown to the start of the merriest month of the year!

Great questions!! Inventory is on my list. I took a big hiatus for the last few years (scrapped maybe a few pages). I did the journaling for my DD last year but that is all. Before I order any more I need to take stock!
Keep the movie info coming ladies! Loved the random things (movies, music) that were posted in last years thread. Discovered so many fun things!

Ladies! I have missed you. I saw the AE sneaks then came straight here. I'm not surprised we're on page 4 already.
Fellow GenXer here and I will be watching Gremlins this year. It was absolutely one of my favorites.
I have a ton of work to do over the next couple of weeks so I'm staying away until I can safely dig in.
Bring it!

Soooooo I have done zero scrapbooking this past year, nor have I done my 2020 DD yet, haha.
However, I might just get the AE main kit and call it a day? Make it foolproof and not super creative this year just so I can get it done?

Make it foolproof and not super creative this year just so I can get it done? How is Mini Pancake? Little Pancake is a feisty 16-month-old. She is a pretty happy baby and very mischievous. Recently, she’s been sleeping poorly at night, possibly due to developmental/brain changes and maybe even her molars…so that’s been tiring. It’s funny — these are the times I feel like parents take the most pictures and yet I have no time to create. Our house is always a mess (cluttered, mostly) and things that I could ignore before are hard to ignore. I don’t want Little Pancake to grow up so fast but I also can’t wait for more free time. All the time she’s at daycare, I’m working.

Yeah, a sucky truth about being a parent is not having time to do the things you love. But its just a season and a new one will come along eventually. Take all the photos. My boys are 20 & 22 and there's not many photos being taken these days but I have all the time in the world to create. Your season will come!

Take all the pictures AND write stuff down - you forget really quickly. Time will come later to scrap them, and it really helps when they are teenagers distancing themselves from you to have those sweet photos and memories to play with and spend time scrapping with.

pancakes Have fun with Little Pancake and take photos, write down the anecdotes as others have suggested. There'll be a time for creating at leisure again. I think getting one kit to work with is actually a very smart idea. Focus on one set of products to work with and get as much done as possible. Sometimes, scrapbooking is whatever you can do, not everything or "the best" (whatever that means).
