Don't need an album but if I was in need of one that Fa La La would be in my cart SO FAST.
I wish she hadn't gone (at least from what we see) with more traditional holiday garb because it really is terrible for the bank account.

That FA LA LA LA album would be such a nice wink on the shelves to the red and white wordy album she had in 2016. I'm not using albums anymore, just punching covers of my own, so I'm not in the market to buy but this one's cute and really embodies the earlier days of the DD releases. I like.

The only Ali DD album I have is that one. I’m tempted by the Fa la la la album but I’ll probably get a simple stories.

I am going to be so upset if I buy all this goodness and the quality sucks. Just say'n. Gotta keep our expectations in check.

Here's a look at Lucie Carpentier's 2020 December Daily album which is filled with soft colours and Silhouette play. That Kimidori album is simple but so pretty (and so cheap, fellow Europeans).

If any of you are still working on your 2020 DD albums, I thought I'd share this lovely art by the super talented Ana Hard who's worked for Vogue, Netflix, book publishers, big name alcohol brands and more. Her BYE BYE 2020 illustration would make a wonderful addition to an album! You can follow Ana Hard on Instagram to keep up with her finger-on-the-pulse designs.

In an attempt to feel inspired and wake our Christmas spirit, we'll be exploring Christmas decorations around the world over the next weeks. Today we take a look at the classic Swedish countryside Christmas with an understated, simple and nature-oriented décor:

thankfully the stars stamp does not appeal to me. I'm trying to stay strong. I'm sure I'll cave on one of the kits somewhere. I did find in my cleaning/organizing/purging fiesta that I have an unused Ali DD album...and it has the old 4 ring system. Of which I also found a bunch of old SC 4 hole 6x8 protectors. They are close in size. Maybe the scrapbooking goddess wants me to use that album.

The Button Farm posted videos of their Simple Stories album kits. Every year I plan to buy one but I never do. Having a plan and instructions would be too easy.

I'm really surprised they went from sneaking very promising, fresh stuff to a basic star stamp set (that will come at the hefty 6x8 price tag). It's like a complete 180 in the marketing campaign. Let's see what's next. I predict more stuff with Ali's handwriting since we've only seen it on the album cover so far.
Anybody got something from the release they'd like a sneak from? Personally, the new Liz Tamanaha mini kit. I wonder if it'll feel different enough from the previous offerings or if we're going to start seeing full-on repetitiveness. That one red 6x8 paper with "Merry" handlettered on it was definitely giving me seen-it-before vibes.

I am not loving any of the sneaks so far and I am glad. I am sure it will be something that I will want but so far nothing touched me. I want to use the product I have this year with minimal additions. I think the stamp appeals to the newer people and there is a fair amount of excitement in the Facebook group from people looking for basics. But me like a lot of people have a ton of stars in different shapes and forms on different stamp sets accumulated over the years. Plus this set has big stars that will be good maybe for backgrounds on smaller albums. I think that there will be some repeated elements this year from word stickers to chipboard pieces, but I hope for some new embellishments. I think we will see felt coming back as it was the most requested item in the survey and also pleather. I also got a few $1 and $2 DD 2019 items in the last sale and it felt good to not pay a lot of money for a change for a quality product that is still very usable today. The 3x8 acetate pieces are so much prettier in real life than in the picture.

I really like the looks of the falala album, but I do NOT need an album considering I have several in my stash. I also like the idea of a stamp set with all the stars together, since I now have to pull from a few different ones. But I don’t think that convenience will push me to buy, especially because I don’t prefer the “fat” stars (Elle’s Studio uses these too, and I wish they had more of the medium, straight armed stars, for lack of a better description), and I don’t really like the super-skinny starfish stars (sorry, but all I see are starfish with those). So only a third would get much use from me. I bet it will sell out though.

10x8 vellum sheets posted from AE. The colors are her typical darker/orange red, IMO and they have 6 holes punched already. I feel like vellum would tear over time and would prefer it without the holes, but not a huge deal. She's using her conversation bubbles on one, which is interesting, but I feel like I keep seeing those bubbles with her recent releases?
Should we take bets on cost? It's a "set", so not sure how many will be included...

I use vellum inserts often and they are fragile over time. If you plan on regularly flicking through your album or letting non-scrapbookers enjoy them, they'll need reinforcing. It's not a huge burden and a simple slim strip of PP or cardstock does the trick. I don't care one bit for the cartoony speech bubbles but the leafy print with gold foil finish is cute. I appreciate that it's vellum over the plastic tsunami that we had in last year's release. Seriously, every other item was plastic! The vellum sneak: https://www.instagram.com/p/CSrnRmMJ0iE
