I seriously do not like the Citrus Twist kit. The creepy faces and all the colors? Hard pass.

I seriously do not like the Citrus Twist kit. The creepy faces and all the colors? Hard pass. I think separated out and paired with more mellow components it could be fun, but all together in a pile like that it’s a lot a lot. 😵💫

die cuts! and just like that, I'm kinda over this kit. Like, at this point in the game, who can't cut their own die cuts like that? I mean, you could hand cut most of that photo or toss it in your machine if it's easily accessible. I'm not a fan of that busy thin red line with the cut out circles, but that could just be me. Definitely not a fan of her handwriting on the heart. Back to "meh" for me, too.

I don't have a cutting machine but I can cut a half star (all straight lines), what looks to be a flag shape (more straight lines), a messy heart..and I can trace a cup or something and cut them out for a page of circle cuts. At least last year she had that big December cut out. This just looks like laziness. ...and will no doubt be $9.99 for 4 pieces of paper 🙄

Is that "December moments" die-cut piece shaped like a banner at the bottom? My brain's confused.
Large die-cut bundle with increased number of pieces sounds like it will be expensive. Who's placing a bet? (Seems like it's our new game and I'm down with that!) I'm going with $9.99.

I am not surprised to see the die cut bundle as it was asked for in the DD survey. Many people wanted more of premade cut out elements that do not require electronic cutting machines and can be quickly added to the album. I agree that the bundle will be expensive (I would say 8 pieces $14.99) but would not contain super complicated designs or shapes. Also I think they started introducing DD design team one by one on Instagram and the intros will also have hints to the DD. First intro had flowery design and poinsettia. I think Flowers will be in this year.

If not more.

Am I the only one struggling to find cohesion in Ali's release? Unless there are more kits than I thought, the vintage Santa hat die-cut sheet doesn't match, say, the bright paper stockings from the first sneak.

I will never understand die cut pages with circles. Never. Wasn’t this a DD thing last year? It seems I kept seeing the same circle page on everyone’s Instagram. I assumed it was from the product play class. It looked awkward and off center to me, but that could just be my grinch talking.

Some years back there was a die cut circle page I believe made of thick chipboard and there were some creative pages made with it. It will be interesting to see how it is used.

So after years and YEARS of lurking here post-2Peas, I'm finally registering and solely to participate in this thread. I always love Christmas, even COVID Christmas last year, but I'm so, so, so excited about it this year as I bought my first house this past summer, will be freshly officially post-divorce, and will be spending my first Christmas with the love of my life (who loves the season just as much as I do). I'm already brainstorming things for us to do together! I only scrap digitally and don't use AE, etc. so I won't see what kits I'll be using until November but I have a separate folder already on my hard drive to collect the new stuff when it comes out. I scrap from Thanksgiving weekend through December 25 (or whenever my family celebrates Christmas together) but not daily -- just by story (even if we do multiple Christmas events on one day) and usually keep a running Notepad file where I slot things in for certain dates & then list all of our usual traditions at the bottom so I can fill them in as needed. I always enjoy the banter & pages shared here and am looking forward to participating in it this year!

Boring die cut shapes. I think they'll be$ if $8.99.
If I had the black and white Merry Christmas design I would use it. But I am not buying it on top of a kit.

Also, petite joueuse! 😉 I'm thinking more about 12,99. If not more. Underneath my dark clothes and claims of having a black, cold heart, there's an eternal optimist just hoping for the best... I will never understand die cut pages with circles. Never. Weren't they suddenly super popular when Felicity Jane put out that white cardstock insert set that had the circle cut-out page in 2018? They've been everywhere since. Man that Santa has some lashes! And some fillers. Dayum, those bouncy cheeks! I'm pretty certain he's wearing the Nars Orgasm blush. So after years and YEARS of lurking here post-2Peas, I'm finally registering and solely to participate in this thread. Welcome, welcome! Glad you finally joined us. We're a little crazy but if you ride that madness wave, you're going to have the best of time in here. And yay for more digital documenters! Do you have any favourite digital designers for your December albums? Do you print your December stories out as a photo book when the season ends? And most importantly, do you watch the super cheesy Christmas Hallmark movies? And a totally appropriate gif to celebrate your coming out of lurkdom (mandatory rite of passage):

I CT for Sweet Shoppe Designs so I mostly use their stuff but my most favorite is my dear friend Kristin Cronin-Barrow who designs a new Christmas collection every year. I print out my pages as an 8x8 softcover Shutterfly album. Hallmark movies are my jam! I used to watch every night at 8 pm when my kids were little & already in bed by then but now I have to either miss the last part of the 8 pm or decide if I can stay up late enough for the 10 pm.

I'm beginning to think the kit this year is a hot mess. None of those die cuts go with the KP vibe of the Fa La La album cover . Don't shoot me but I absolutely hate poinsettias, and the santa hats, with their weird vintage vibe, yuk.
