I think that we also will see a return of a million dollar multi packs. The die cut pack will be bigger than 3 pieces seen in the past. The ephemera die cut sets were already big. I am guessing that this year will be better to get a main kit to not overwhelm yourself with all the extra product that realistically cannot be used in 1-2 albums. I typically use 2, maybe 3 acetate sheets in the album, don’t need 6-8, the same for vellum or any fun die cut inserts. I never need two sheets of the same puffy stickers they have been offering lately. I also did not use all of the acetate circles that came in one set or did not even use all the hearts or pleather circles in one album. “Less is more!” says my brain, but we shall see if I can stay strong when product hits the website:)

Ugh....I was so hopeful with the first couple of sneaks, but it is going downhill fast.

And a totally appropriate gif to celebrate your coming out of lurkdom (mandatory rite of passage): I'm just quoting this because that gif is so good and so wrong. I am not surprised to see the die cut bundle as it was asked for in the DD survey. Many people wanted more of premade cut out elements that do not require electronic cutting machines and can be quickly added to the album. Maybe the cut out pages will be popular (people never cease to amaze me) but I can't help but think people meant that they wanted intricate cuts, more like what Paige Evans does, not basic shapes that almost anyone can do with scissors. I guess AE's thing is simple, but geez, even a cut file type of page in her handwriting or one of her ugly fonts would be more desirable, I would've thought.

So far nothing has screamed “buy me”. Curious to see what KP comes up with.

Considering changing my name to @twerkingsantabooty Curious to see what KP comes up with. I am loving her Twinkle kit so far. Like, big time, seriously loving.

[/quote] Oh, I totally agree that people asked for very cool already premade pages seen in classes or from the design team. Expectation: pop up page that you can turn to reveal hidden tag used for journaling. Reality: prepunched half star with Ali’s writing. But to be fair, those premade elements in Inked world would cost more than the kit itself so probably not doable from business perspective, especially knowing that adding more numbers 1 and 2 to number sets are also profit-prohibitive.

I CT for Sweet Shoppe Designs so I mostly use their stuff but my most favorite is my dear friend Kristin Cronin-Barrow who designs a new Christmas collection every year. I print out my pages as an 8x8 softcover Shutterfly album. Ooh, that's wonderful (and congrats on making the CT)! I can't wait to see what you do with Kristin's new collection this year. It's got to be so much fun to design with your friend's art. Hallmark movies are my jam! I used to watch every night at 8 pm when my kids were little & already in bed by then but now I have to either miss the last part of the 8 pm or decide if I can stay up late enough for the 10 pm. *pours coffee* "Come on, stay awake or you're going to miss the one kiss!" This reminds me that we should have a little Hallmark poll this weekend in this thread. Measure up our Hallmark faves and pet peeves...

AH. AH. UGH. EEEEEH.
Fuck it. I'll be placing a DD order. I have a problem and it's called fabric embellies. AH.
AH.
Why? And more importantly, why orange? Is it an actual orange in the "deck the halls" circle? I mean, if so, good for me because I'm part of the minimalists who consider pomander balls and strings with dried orange slices adequate Christmas decoration but I've got a feeling I'm in the minority on this. What else could it be though?
WAIT.
Does "joy to the world" have a pomegranate icon?
I'm officially confused.

As far as premade pages I can tell you what I ask for in the survey. I wanted some minc pages that were all the rage for those that don't have a minc. I asked for pages that had sewing on them for those that don't sew or have a sewing machine. I asked for a page that had words or phrase cut out for those that don't have the machines for that. Those would have been nice. I have cut out my own pages before (a tree, a snowman, a stocking etc.)

Aww, I love that you asked for things for people who don't have many tools! 💖 looks like fruit and flowers on the circles to me too. I guess pomegranates symbolise abundance? So, you know, merry Christmas, wish you loads of pomegranate seeds. They are super yummy on winter salads though.

I think those are not oranges but maybe tangerine/ mandarins that show up in abundance here at the stores in winter time (I think you can buy them all year round but I know they are considered to be winter fruit by some). So stocking, tangerine, poinsettia, pomegranate, house and holly leaves are icons of the kit. Maybe Santa hats too. Wonder how many other orange-colored embellishments are in the kit. I think last years PP mini kit did not sell out quickly as it did in the years past because it had some orange accent color. Thoughts?

sleepingbootyI also have some “problems” with fabric and felt embellishments. They are just perfect for being flat embellishments that have that nice look that differs them from plain paper. But these are too big and there are a lot of them so they will have to be used as fillers in the pockets/ on the cards. Hmm.

I couldn't fathom why they added that colour. Still think it was a mistake when selecting the felt shades from their Chinese manufacturer. They probably thought it'd be a nice cognac but alas, bright orange. It's like when you order from AliExpress...

YES X1000 TO THIS. except for his most recent movie because that kiss was genuinely odd as hell where one of them went for an open mouth and the other a closed but I think it was his holiday movie last year with alicia witt? i don't remember completely, but it was a k-i-s-s KISS. ...ok onto christmas lmao these circles are okay but i wouldn't use them. but the orange reminds me of my boyfriend's mom who always puts an orange at the bottom of our stockings so that's kinda cute lol

Which made me momentarily hopeful that the “holiday tradition” was peeping some bacon, but then I came to my senses and figured it was probably just stockings.

I still think the colour scheme is all over the place. I hope it makes sense when I see the kit (s). Do you think the fabric circles are white, off-white or cream?

Shoot, I’m a sucker for fabric embellies, too, and I really like the look of these, even though I find circles difficult to work with. I still have a bunch of KI Memories and Scrapworks fabric tags and alphabets in my stash Also love the pomegranate and orange designs. If there are holiday fruit and floral elements throughout this year’s DD collection I will be tempted to order…

They don't look like a true white but they're also not cream (I think). So off-white (ish)? It's hard to tell with the lighting in the photo and the abundance of warm orange tones in the scenery (Ali's dress/skirt and the floors).

Alicia Witt is just a walking disaster to me. I know she was really into her 2020 Christmas movie since she wrote it (I think). I couldn't get past 15 minutes of it despite Andrew Walker. That man carries Hallmark like no other (besides Michael Rady who's back to being cast in TV series so off Hallmark, much to my chagrin). Did you see him in the Christmas Lifetime movie with Bethany Joy Lenz back in 2017, jenna? It's called Snowed-Inn Christmas. They are dreamy together (and also did the wonderful Bottled With Love for the Hallmark Spring season of 2018).

Well, since we're talking Hallmark movies, let's do this. HALLMARK POLL, everyone! 1. Favourite Hallmark actors (male and female)? 2. Favourite Hallmark Christmas movies EVER? 3. Favourite Christmas romance trope? 4. Your Christmas romance movies pet peeves? 5. A Christmas romance you'd wish Hallmark (or Lifetime or Netflix, whatever) would just film and show already? (Oh yes, I'm going there. The red truck with the tree. I'm doing it. *evil smile*)

I love fabric embellishments but those look BIG (in terms of size) and I find I use embellishments on a small scale in DD albums. Not to mention Orange = nope, not for Christmas.

I unironically rewatch that all the time. But that movie from last year was a mess start to finish. Shoot, a lot of last years movies were a mess lol. I think I've seen that lifetime movie! Reading up on imdb the story sounds familiar and Bethany's great in everything (hellooo to my One Tree Hill rewatch happening right now).
