Do we need a separate DD Hallmark movie thread? Totally not complaining, just an easy spot to look back on reviews and recommendations? YES!!!

My Dollar Tree had a great choice of these licensed Hallmark wrapping papers. The whole isle with 100s of rolls. The cashier was super excited about them selling it there. I got Star Wars, Rudolph the red nose reindeer, beautiful poinsettia,Elf, Minions, LOL papers. Will have a variety for kids’ presents this year. Not sure how great of a deal it is as the rolls are not that big but for fun it was worth it.

I would pay for a photoshop class, specifically elements. I could be better at editing my photos. How do you feel about learning from a book? I'm completely self taught in photoshop and elements by using books by Scott Kelby. They are fantastic. Breaks down the how and why in simple, easy steps. He may have online classes as well. I should pick his book up. I’ve read one of his photography books. I have a photoshop class through work right now. It’s for CC but will help me navigate photoshop elements for now.

Do we need a separate DD Hallmark movie thread? Totally not complaining, just an easy spot to look back on reviews and recommendations? There are enough of them it might make sense... My husband agreed to watch the Santa Stakeout with me. We thought something might happen since it was a bit of a mystery as well as a romance. Very silly but watchable. I watched Danica in her Christmas tree scientist role although I think I missed the end.

Do we need a separate DD Hallmark movie thread? Totally not complaining, just an easy spot to look back on reviews and recommendations? I'm down with whatever the people want! My AE DD arrived late yesterday. I didn't buy a lot, but I love all of it. I'm getting excited about this project! Yay! Just wait when we get closer to mid-November and the DD madness will all of a sudden hit the board. It's chaos (and I love it). So glad you're playing along this year! Nightmare Before Christmas wrapping paper at Dollar Tree. It's red with white round Jack heads and some text. If you want the good stuff there, you have to go before Halloween. I also got a roll of Grinch, Elf, and two cool ribbon stripes. We're going to need pictures... I am using the tiny heart method, I think. Not totally sure. Or maybe tiny enamel dots? By the time we've finished 41 movies, our brains will be so fried that the method will be whatever-I-swear-whatever. I watched Danica in her Christmas tree scientist role although I think I missed the end. I think the end may have been *whispers* a kiss...

And we are now down to *drum roll* 5 WEEKS until December 1st. Yes, that's five as in one hand. Ladies, it's time to start our engines...
We'll be using the next few weeks to soak up photography inspiration so we are ready to shoot as soon as the holiday season opens. Today, we are diving into a simple but very useful subject: Christmas portraits at home using your décor as props. Adapt to fit your needs and companions (should work great for pets and adults as well).

That Cocoa Daisy kit is very pretty - but unless you sub, you can't get it, right? Not that I'm planning on buying, just curious. They do a pre-order for the Christmas kit, but they have extras available to purchase as well. Their extras do tend to get snapped up quickly by subscribers, but I've managed to snag a few of the "add-ons" or extras that she puts in the shop and often that is enough. I love CD papers, and I always try to get the extra pack for the Christmas / December kits, which usually coordinate well. This year I'm crushing on the sparkly stars and hope she has those available with some pretty paper as extras as I didn't pre-order this year. I’m pretty sure the blue enamel stars are also in the planner/memory keeping kits for December, which are Winter themed and not strictly Christmas themed like the special order kit. There are usually a few of the special kits available for sale once the pre-orders ship, and usually a few of the regular monthly kits left on the first of the month for non-subscribers, but you’ve got to be quick to grab one.

I watched Danica in her Christmas tree scientist role although I think I missed the end. I think the end may have been *whispers* a kiss... What?! no... really?! The kiss is usually her worst acting of the whole movie so maybe good that I missed it. Actually I was trying to remember if I ever found out what happened to the poor Christmas trees. The last thing I remember was Winnie cooking up some special nutrients and getting sap on her hand and getting a giant lightbulb over her head... I sure hope she saved them.

My personal favorite way to watch the Hallmark Christmas movies is to not actually watch them. Strange, I know😂🤷♀️. I usually pick out at least a few that I will sit down, and take the time to watch through, but mostly I just have the channel playing while I go about my day. I just love the cozy, over the top “Christmasy”atmosphere of them. I watch little bits, and pieces of them as I’m doing other things, and they are just my Christmas time background noise. I just love the warm & cozy way having them playing makes me feel! They’re just so soothing & festive!😂🥰❄️🎄❄️🎅🏻

My haul: http://instagram.com/p/CViZiY8ljB- I will be using this photo in my DD! I like that these rolls don’t have a lot. I get bored and want new patterns every year. Those mega rolls can last forever.

2018 is my most favorite. I used almost everything from that kit, I loved the colors and embellishments. It turned out to be one of my most favorite albums too. The only thing I didn’t like were the numbers. They seemed a bit plain to me.
I’m still hoarding those numbered tags from way back!

Now to pop into our dollar tree without looking at anything else.. Your comment reminds me of my mom getting a ton of paper one year on an after Christmas sale and using it for legit like 8 or 9 years. I was so tired of seeing the same prints over and over again.

The only thing I didn’t like were the numbers. They seemed a bit plain to me. Mine too! Out of all of these I bought 2018, 2015, and 2014. I did like the numbers. They are fun to put on top of a tight pattern like a tiny red stripe or polka dot. I have also painted them gold with a paint pen. 2014 is by far my favorite. I have used up every single morsel of that except for the thick divider things. I only used the circle one and it's one of my favorite pages I have ever made. 2015 I used but I think I had to buy it to get the album. I don't remember. There weren't as many options back then as there are now.

Yes! And good luck with that. Hopefully you'll be able to find baby yoda. Ours did not have it out but I'll pop back in on Saturday.

Color-wise 2014 has my heart! If I had started that early I would've bought that in an instant.
Seeing all the years together, 2020 wasn't all that bad. I remember really disliking it last year but I think it looks nice now.
2016 was.. interesting with that lime/neon yellow/mustard combination.

I loved those wood numbers in the 2014 kit. Simple but they looked great on my pages.
The kit I've used most of is 2015. Almost every scrap of that kit got used up. I remember swooning over those numbered tags! Again, very simple but somehow really worked.
2018 kit is probably my overall favorite, though 2015 and 2014 are close. Those black stars in 2018 ended up being perfect for my album and I did love the numbers that year too. Too early to make a call on the 2021 kit for me, I really have to try to use it before I know whether the kit really works for me.

Nope, me too. 2011 and 2014 were my favorite. Maybe 2011 sneaks to the top for me just on the fact it included the coasters. 2014 kit: aliedwards.com/2014/11/december-daily-2014-updatesAlso? Looking at the 2014 kit --- how many shapes/designs do you still see used in all of Ali's products? LOL

I think the best kits were the ones shipped through Studio Calico too. They were so interesting, much less predictable. And the entire kit was like $50!

Oh, man, I found the last scrap of that Hambly in my stash the other day. And I loved those Authentique stickers. I painted that album white and did a texture finish that year and I still love it! I think that was the first year there were digitals, too, because I bought them and printed them out to make pages for the album. Thanks for the memories! Edit: nope, I'm wrong, she did overlays well before 2011!

I have the 2013 kit through Studio Calico, the 2015 kit (and the 2015 Kelly Purkey mini kit), the 2018 kit (and the 2018 Kids mini kit), the 2019 kit (that I just got on clearance), and this year's kit. I have to say in terms of main kits, this year's is my favorite--I just love the colors and icons this year. My absolute favorite though has to be the 2015 KP mini kit, which I am still hoarding, but plan to use with the PP 34th and Herald Square kit

Oh, man, I found the last scrap of that Hambly in my stash the other day. Man, I still have a stash of the hot pink screen prints and the turquoise. Wish I'd bought more of the other colors. 2014 AE kit is probably my favorite out of all of the AE kits. Totally agree the SC mix ups were fantastic though.
