Going down the rabbit hole now. Here's the 2013 kit (Studio Calico). I still have most of this in the box because I never got around to creating my album that year!

Here's the 2010 kit from Cocoa Daisy. 2009 was also through Cocoa Daisy but I can't find a photo of the kit.

2013 is lovely! My 1st ever kit was '14, and I think I picked it up in a sale maybe either in 15/16. My faves are 14 & 15 and I wish I had bought 17. I'd love it, if AE did a survey on what we'd like to have. I'd be over the moon with the simplicity of 15, with silver, forest green and navy blue .

What?! no... really?! The kiss is usually her worst acting of the whole movie so maybe good that I missed it. Actually I was trying to remember if I ever found out what happened to the poor Christmas trees. The last thing I remember was I walked away from this movie earlier tonight. Like you, I now don't know how it ends. I'll try to finish it tomorrow... Benjamin Ayres acts like his usual Hallmark self which is a good thing. He may have that scrunched up Cro-Magnon eye/brow situation but he's a solid actor in the H-verse. I'm up for a challenge but I don't think I can do it. That's a lot of cheese and saccharin. I want to try but I feel I would be setting myself up for failure no matter what. If it's any consolation, I don't actively sit down and watch most of these. I'll make a night out of the ones that seem decent enough but I'll use the others as filler background when I scrap, wrap gifts, meal prep, fold laundry, do my make-up and hair, etc. They're mostly companions to my Yule season. I just love the cozy, over the top “Christmasy”atmosphere of them. I watch little bits, and pieces of them as I’m doing other things, and they are just my Christmas time background noise. I just love the warm & cozy way having them playing makes me feel! They’re just so soothing & festive!😂🥰❄️🎄❄️🎅🏻 YASSS, k10scrapper!!! I will be using this photo in my DD! Lovely haul, blemon! The baubly Grinch is especially fab. But gah, is that a typo in the Elf paper or am I misreading the font? It looks like it says "Mr N orwhal".

I was so in love with it. Looking at the picture, it is something I would buy again now. Love the colours and variety. It had three different alphas, an album and all those trims. It was a great colour scheme for a warm weather Christmas.

I join Team 2014. Fun, simple and yet so easy to use. Gah, Ali's handwriting was far less invasive back then...

Ah, that’s the only one I ever bought. I recognize a lot of that because it took me YEARS to use up all the random bits (or to give them away, some I only ditched last year). I wondered why I had that Elise Joy stamp, it didn’t seem like one I would buy, and I barely used it. I’ll have to see if I already gave away the stamp set or not. I might be able to scrounge some of the decorative pieces of this to give away, actually. The pocket page that I made with the clear elements and the wood veneer does nothing for me in my album, it’s just a waste of space.

Also, in different and silly news, I finally found the Disney mug I so wanted for autumn/winter this year after months of waiting for it to pop up again on ShopDisney.fr. It went on sale this summer and was gone in a matter of minutes, much to my frustration. But this weekend, one randomly popped up (at sale price, too). I can't believe I have my Snuggly Duckling mug from Tangled for the holiday season after all. Maybe not quite festive but I was so looking forward to this one that it doesn't matter to me... Just got a shipping notification so it's happening and not a weird in-stock error. Count me out of the holiday mug search this year.

I had the 2013 🥰 and still have pieces of it. I do not have any of the older stamps - big regret! I was not a stamper for many years and I so wish I had kept them.

I had such high hopes for this kit but my album turned into a hot mess. I cringe when I look through it! Nobody’s fault but my own but hey, I finished it.

This was my first DD kit and my first DD book. I started in 2013 and used most of this kit. I kept the box and store some of my DD supplies in it. It’s an awesome box, better than boxes kits are sold in nowadays. I do not remember the trims and what I did with them but I still have silver and gold ribbon leftover. I also do feel a slight cringe looking through that album but it’s a cringe mixed with love, my baby was 1 that Christmas so there are a lot of great memories in there.

I regret never buying the 2011 Studio Calico/Ali Edwards December Daily kit. I want those Letterpress coaster numbers and have been searching for them for ages.

Also to add about that 2013 kit: I remember paying $100 for the kit and it was a shocker back then. Even if I got everything I needed for that price, it seemed super expensive. Now you barely can buy an album and a stamp with shipping for the same money.

You could probably sell that stamp for some good money - it was posted on the AE DD page a year or two ago, and a lot of people seemed to want it.

Based on colours alone, I have to go with the “blue toned” red and greens of the 2020 kit with the craft as a highlight. I also loved all of the trees featured in this kit, but I hate the other shapes and font used on almost ALL of the cards (also missed out on buying it as I had no cash in covid Christmas 2020 here in Australia ☹️) I picked some pieces up on sale in the 3x8 size this year and am waiting for next year to use them as I’ve already completed all my foundation pages for my 2021 album. Although most of my scrapbooks are super bright and use all the colours of the rainbow, for some reason none of those earlier kits appeal to me… I just can’t do mustard toned anything and I can’t stand pink 😲

I hope you'll post pictures of the wrapped gifts so we get a proper view of the classic Christmas movie giftwrap. Those definitely don't exist here.

My haul: I like that these rolls don’t have a lot. I get bored and want new patterns every year. Those mega rolls can last forever. My parents had this one GIANT roll of Christmas paper that lasted for my entire childhood. It was around before I was born, and lasted until I was nearly done with high school. I was present when my dad used it for the last time, to wrap a gift for his boss. He eyed the roll and muttered “I think it’s the end for this one”. And after the paper was gone he slowly folded and flattened the cardboard center and stuffed it in the trash. He was a little sad about it, like saying goodbye to an old holiday friend. 😆 Fast forward several years and I’m shopping at Costco with my new husband, about to have our first married Christmas together. I see Costco’s huge paper rolls. I HAVE to get one, even though none of the patterns tickle my fancy. I just loved the idea of having a roll that would last the ages, like that one from my childhood. We call it The Legacy Roll and dutifully wrap a gift for each other in it, but I’m so over it. It’s been 22 years already and my kids could give a flying fig. They have failed to absorb the significance of the family heritage Christmas wrap. 😂
