I am not traditional in any sense and I love how freeing that is. I am doing my own thing and loving it. I have trouble thinking outside of the box sometimes. My accountant brain likes the linear feel of PL...LOL! jeremysgirl, I am so with you! I'm an engineer, and I want my corners at 90 degrees (that's right, Becky Higgins) and I definitely think linearly. I took four semesters of Accounting (for an elective requirement) in college, and I loved it. I think I would have been an Accountant if I wasn't an engineer.

Sharing the translated digi stamps re: Ukraine invasion I designed for my PL for those who document current events and may want a more custom sentiment for their photos and journaling. You can download the digi stamps here (transparent background, .PNG format). These are lovely! Thank you. I've been saving the Facebook posts from political historian Heather Cox Richardson (who was recommended a while back during the pandemic by the Peas) and plan to include them in my PL. Her Sunday evening post is giving me some hope this morning. These are perfect to help my documenting efforts. Thank you so much for creating and sharing them with us!

Yeah I want my corners in pockets 90 degrees because I don’t like the odd void left where they meet then but I don’t have any issue rounding the corners of my tags, labels & tabs lol

Here's a question for you. If you have ephemera that is bigger than a 4x6 pocket, do you do a traditional scrapbook page to add to your PL? And if you do, do you still maintain the pocket page "look" or do you venture off and do your own thing? Just curious. I have traditional 12x12 layouts in with my PL albums for events or memories that I wanted to expand upon outside of a small pocket. I think it’s your album, so do what makes you happy! I know looking back at mine I’m glad I did those pages and don’t give a second thought to them not being in the pocket style. A memory preserved is better than a memory forgotten or left on a hard drive somewhere. At least I try to remind myself of that!

I have never had such a difficult time doing PL as I’m having this year. 😵💫
My intention was to document less in PL to free up time & creative space to do other projects. But all that’s happened is I’ve stalled entirely. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m constantly questioning “is this story for PL or something else?” Or the new album size (9x12 after yearssssss of 12x12) or what. But I feel stuck in the mud!

Going to be back at it today. My Selphy ink and paper packs arrive today so YAY. I think I am going to scrap today's museum adventures with DD. There is a new exhibit about bats.
Also have some nature walk photos and tomorrow as long as the rain holds off, we are going to go mini golfing.
I also plan to pocket page scrap DDs 4th dose of Pfizer.
I also want to take some photos of her with her Zebra stuffies, shirt, Vans, and other items for World Rare Day.

Sounds like you have some fun events/topics to scrap @sunnycamom! Enjoy your crafting time. Good to “see” you. I’m thinking my AE kits are showing up today - I hope so, then I will dig in and plan this week and next.

I can see me getting a lot of use out of that one. I ordered the wooden shapes and the vinyl circles and they are so big! I was expecting much smaller.

The tracking won’t provide a day but looking at the history I see it arrived at the PO yesterday. I’ll have the awesome kit and the story kit. I ordered the add on rainbow water colored circles. I hope you can use the big items!! I decided on starting two new albums in addition to my PL so I’ll have more to do. 😂

I totally understand this. I have decided to just print out photos that speak to me and put them all in my PL album and when I get to making the layout, if I don't have room for all the photos, I take out some and put them in a "to scrap later" pile, either as a 9x12 full page layout or in a TN or whatever.

I'm struggling a bit too. I miss my "stuff" (total first world problem, but it annoys me when I sit down to create). I'm basically only working from my CD kits (Jan, Feb, and March 2022). Everything is looking very same-y since I don't have anything to add from my stash. I did break down and ordered a new wide-format printer. Not having a real printer was driving me bananas. Hoping to get some time today to set it up and see how it prints this afternoon. My old one in storage is several years old and wasn't printing all that great so I'd been thinking of buying a new one for a while. I was worried if it would even survive a cross-country move so I figured it was okay to buy a new one. Going to count it as my birthday present.

I ordered missing January photos and the entire month of May for some reason I missed that on the last order, but got July and August. I know this is the 2022 thread, but I'm realistic about being caught up. We celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday party today! I actually got photos ON my phone that my niece took. I usually text a family member for them when we have gatherings.

I've printed all of my Feb photos today and am in the process of putting them all into page protectors. I'm going to go through and pull some PL cards next. I really feel like I've been neglecting this year's album, but at the same time I'm kind of enjoying looking through everything at the end of the month and deciding what is important enough to go in my album, and then what gets a full layout and what just gets a pocket or two.

So, I'm spending the next few days trying to figure out the daily stuff from February to catch up on memory-planning. I'd forgotten how much work it can be to catch up on big events stretching out through time with a daily planner format for documenting but considering this war in Ukraine is far from being over, I'm committed to getting it recorded this way, especially considering the impact it already has on the EU and it will have on the upcoming French presidential elections (weee, more fun ahead /s). Oy vey, so much work. The typing everything up is fine but it's going through all the information saved in Evernote to figure out the timeline of the past 10 days (and making editorial decisions on the info to record in the planner, the info to discard) that is time-consuming. I just spent 1.5h one one week. (It's much easier and quicker when you're just keeping up in real time, I promise.) On the upside, I've started watching Zelenskyy's Servant of the People satire series and it's really decent. It's a bizarre silver lining to this invasion but I'll take it considering how grim everything else is.

I still haven't started my 2022 PL yet. January was busy busy busy with Month of Challenges at The Lilypad. February was busy busy busy with 28-4-28 here at Two Peas. And March so far has been spent catching up on the 28-4-28 challenges that I didn't get to in February. I'm not stressed about it, I will get to it when I can. Maybe April.

I finally got my January pics printed and mapped out. But I didn't have a single bit of mojo this past weekend for scrapbooking. I channeled all my energy into a crocheted wrap. I finished too so I'll get some other crafts bonus points. And then I actually sat down to print out my February photos and it seems I took next to no photos in February. I have no idea what I was doing last month, but clearly it wasn't worth documenting in my mind.

Besides Ali, does anyone know of PL’ers who have done/are doing PL in 9x12?
Instagram or YouTube recommendations for this format, please!
I wasted many hours trying to get my mojo this weekend. I continue to be flummoxed with this project this year. Still not sure if it’s the size or general lack of focus. I’m frustrated! 😭

I have January and February 2022 pictures printed and sketched out. I just need to cut, embellish and journal, which I plan to do tonight.
I spent the last few weeks wrapping up my 2020 album (I got really far behind when the pandemic started and just kept pushing it off).
I was doing ok with my 2021 album, but my camera broke in October, so I need to go back and finish the last three months using pictures my husband took. I figure three months shouldn't be too hard to catch up on and I don't want to fall further behind in 2022, so those are being done first.
My 2020 album was my first scrapbook album ever, and I love the satisfaction of having something 100% complete - plus getting those memories off of my phone and into something tangible that my kids can flip through (they are still young enough to care lol) is awesome.

Juli Makes Things still works in 9x12 Ania Turek did 9x12 last year (and it's oh-so beautiful) Felicitas Mayer in 9x12 with many personal touches Eléonore Scrap used 9x12 for PL last year (a lot of Ali Edwards stuff) The Life Journal, a Spanish PL-er, uses 9x12 Kasha Gage does 9x12 with loads of AE products as well There are plenty more but I haven't had my morning coffee yet.

Count me in the boat that hasn't even started my 2022 yet...and, to make matters worse, my photo taking has been dismal. I still haven't taken a single photo for March yet. I have a few things planned for the rest of this month, so I'm going to be diligent about taking photos, otherwise this year's album is going to be very thin.

Well, I finished January up, so I count that as progress. I haven't even started to think through February and I also haven't pulled out my real camera all of March! I feel like we have kind of been doing the same and there's not much to document. I know as Spring arrives, the end of school years and then summer it will pick up, but right now there's nothing. I need to think through a few things I want to document during these slow weeks that I normally wouldn't.

I’m glad to report that I finally was able to find some flow with this new album. I got two pages do e. 🎉 I think the problem is really what some of you just described- not a lot going on, not taking many photos. Just in LIFE I’m feeling really uninspired at the moment, and I think that’s spilling over into this project (understandably).
Usually my favorite thing about PL is recording the daily stuff, the mundane bits of life we can easily not take notice of. I love looking back and seeing how things have changed. Typically my least favorite things to scrapbook in PL are the bigger things - outings, events, holidays. Like, those gave always felt like speed bumps to my regular life documenting. Well, since this year began the ONLY photos I’ve taken were big events - a trip to a special exhibition at an art museum (swoon), three days at Disneyland. Valentine’s Day. That’s about it. 🥴 No wonder I’m struggling.

I printed my January pictures and I was actually surprised that I had as many as I did. And then I took at look at February and I was so disappointed I didn't have as many. I am a high user of Facebook though and I skimmed over my Facebook wall. I was surprised at how many posts I had for February. I'm thinking of printing some of them out and adding to my PL for February just to round things out. Any chance this might be an option for you?

Here are some things I add to my PL when I'm low on pictures: screenshots of movie/TV shows, books I've read, memes that made me laugh or that are applicable to the week, text message screenshots, menu planning for the week or a list of the things we ate or made, news headlines, weather, etc.
