I've made my first PL 2022 purchase and I'm just itching to talk all things PL now! 1. Got plans for next year's PL? 2. Format? 3. Products (new and old)? 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach?

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yep, I'm ready to go. I was planning on doing it seasonally but then decided to stick to my good ol' monthly schedule instead. 2. Format? Not sure yet. I'm probably going down the photobook route to minimise the impact of my documenting on my small living space. Probably going to stick with a vertical layout as it's my comfort zone for projects that span over a significant amount of time. 3. Products (new and old)? Just bough the new Paislee Press monthly cards. I'm probably going to be buying some digital stamps from Kelly Purkey, as usual. And I'd love to rely more on my DIY digi skills to make custom sentiments and incorporate more of my mother tongue into the project. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? I'm going right back to my recap page at the start of each month before adding in photos with occasional journaling. I've enjoyed this the most in the past and dropped it for a more "normal" PL approach recently. I miss it. First purchase for PL 2022:

Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Woo hoo!!! PL 2022!!! 1. Got plans for next year's PL? I actually started thinking about this last night. I need to order albums and page protectors from Scrapbook.com, so I have them by January.2. Format? Two 12x12 albums, mostly type A pages (I think that is what it is...a row of two 4x6 photos on the top and bottom, four 3x4 photos in the middle), with inserts of varying sizes as appropriate.3. Products (new and old)? I will keep using the AE SBTM as my main source of products, taking inspiration from her DT members...especially @legal_lady4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? This year, I will, really will, stay current. I use Persnickety Prints for my photos, so I'm always a month behind...but this year, it will only be a month!!! ALSO, I will take the AE Canva class that I purchased, and try to do some digital stuff in Canva.

The big thing is I'll be a frozen pea this year and focused on using up my stash. Congrats on going in the freezer! I hope you have fun using up your hoarded pretties and get to work through quite a bit of your stash in 2022! I actually started thinking about this last night. I need to order albums and page protectors from Scrapbook.com, so I have them by January. Great minds and all that jazz... You're in time to order and have it delivered for the new year, yay! Have you decided on a colour for your album yet?

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yep, will be picking up on same format from past 2-3 years. 2. Format? Monthly spreads in 12x12 album. 3. Products (new and old)? STRUGGLING. I'm parting ways with Studio Calico (after YEARS of subscribing). I had decided to switch to FYC and well that's not going to happen. NO idea what I will do. None of the other kits are quite what I want. And yes, I need a kit. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Nope, just that I really need a kit.

I'm doing another project life album next year. I still have Sept-Dec to finish up for this year. But I'm leading a challenge team for first quarter so I'm really going to put some effort in. I thought I did pretty good keeping up this year until work really went haywire for me. I expect to do the same next year. 3. Products (new and old)? STRUGGLING. I'm parting ways with Studio Calico (after YEARS of subscribing). I had decided to switch to FYC and well that's not going to happen. NO idea what I will do. None of the other kits are quite what I want. And yes, I need a kit.I need a kit too. I just find it easier. But I was hoping to find one that is more everyday kind of cards and accessories, not super seasonal. I used Hip Kit this year and I'm thinking of trying something different. Anybody got a suggestion?

I’ve been stewing on this for weeks!
1. Got plans for next year's PL? — Working on The Plan. What I know is that I want a change. I’m moving to 9x12. I have done monthly for a few years, but I think I’m going to go for “monthly lite”. 😄 I never do shorter term projects like DITL or WITL or DD because there’s too much overlap. I’m really craving those other projects, so PL will become more cursory, I think.
2. Format? — 9x12 charcoal gray SC.com albums. (Free shipping right now, peeps!) A variety of page protectors.
3. Products (new and old)? — Not married to anything. I have stash I love, I want to use it. If I see new product I love, I’ll probably buy it. I have accumulated so many stamps this last year, really want to use them lots and lots. I
4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? — I don’t think PL will change itself too much, besides the obvious size difference. My overall outlook/time management of the project will be the biggest change. Instead of it being the WHOLE ENCHILADA, I want it to just be a part of the overall buffet. 😂

My overall outlook/time management of the project will be the biggest change. Instead of it being the WHOLE ENCHILADA, I want it to just be a part of the overall buffet. Yes, this is the way I'm looking at it too. I have always been a very linear thinker (I am an accountant, afterall). And I have done years upon years of chronological scrapbooking. I finally accepted last year that my kids are growing older and we don't have near as many events and pictures related to their milestones so I tried out project life for 2021. About midway, I realized that I wanted to subscribe to Ali's story kit. And I'm trying to think outside the chronological box. I'm also considering OLW, in a way too. But I'm thinking about all these things and making the project life just a piece of the pie.

Great minds and all that jazz... You're in time to order and have it delivered for the new year, yay! Have you decided on a colour for your album yet? So 2022 is the year of me, as I'm telling my family. I've spent the past year staying with my son every weekend, helping him clean out the house he inherited from his father, and working with contractors to do basic tasks like getting a new roof, taking down trees, repairs, repainting, etc. In the process, I've neglected my house. I think by the end of this year, the big stuff will be cleaned out, and I will only come over to work on occasion...so this year, I am focusing on getting my house back where it needs to be. Hence, this is the year of me. I really wanted a bright lemon yellow album for the year because of that, I don't know why, but I did. But all scrapbook.com had in 12x12 was either pink, charcoal grey, black or mint. I got the mint albums.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? My plan is to actually complete a year instead of doing random pages here and there and never finishing one. 2. Format? 9x12 3. Products (new and old)? Mostly old, I'm going partially frozen next year (stopped almost all kit subs, still have to quit PP but I'm curious about the new format - no 12x12 - so I'll give her January to see if I will like it). 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Instead of waiting to print pictures out "when I have time" (which translates to never because I fritter away my time if I don't have a schedule) I'm going to print them out weekly, every Monday. I'm also taking the Project Done class from Victoria Marie Designs in the hopes that I'll complete past years' books.

I'm busting my tail over Christmas shutdown, it won't be very merry, but I will be pleased to get the rest of the work completed by December 31, then the year of me begins. (And I say "ME" like how Elle Woods said it when she saw she was on the list of interns for the pervy professor. The year of us!! Should be a good one.

Although I was pretty put out at the time that my house closing kept being delayed, it was very convenient, scrapping-wise, to close on June 1 and change my PL pages from 2 Design A pocket pages per week to 1 pocket page (whichever design is all 3x4s) per week for the rest of the year. I do all digital, and my PL pages go right alongside my regular pages. I make one family album per year, except for vacations and Countdown to Christmas, and if my kids were to ever want copies of anything, I'd print one off at Shutterfly. I will continue with my single weekly pocket pages in 2022 for as long as I can but think I will likely have to go back to 2 pages per week once my boyfriend & his kids move in next summer. The primary reason I switched to the all 3x4s design was because I mostly take vertically-oriented people photos so I will continue using that design. I use a different digital kit every week as most digital kits I own include journaling cards.

1) Got plans for next year's PL?
I'm planning to continue the project. However, I'm so behind on 2021 and still have parts of 2020 unfinished. I have my photos and journal/ calendar but have been unmotivated. I really need to devote time to this in 2022 since I like the finished album
2) Format?
Staying with 12 x 12 using design A and G page protectors.
3) Products ( new and old) ?
I'm using another 12 x12 camera print album I bought on super clearance at Michaels. I'm planning to use the leftovers of the Becky Higgins kits I've been using the past couple years. I bought several for super cheap at Tuesday morning and split them with a friend. And I still have a bunch left over! Lol
4) Anything new or particularly different to your 2022 approach?
I'm trying out an Elle's Studio sub so that I have some new cards to mix with my leftovers.

1. Got plans for next year's PL?I was so inspired by the way Shimelle was doing her album for this year I was tempted to scrap my plan and rework the pages I'd already done to use her format, so that's what I'm going to do for next year, and also for 2010 which I'm going to actually scrap. I have it started in a format that is just no longer inspiring and so is mostly just photos and notes stuck in a box, so I'll be working on both years throughout next year and however long it takes me to finish 2010. 2. Format?I'll be working in 12x12 albums using a mix of full size pages and pocket pages. 3. Products (new and old)?I've spent the last two years working through my ridiculously large stash of various pocket pages and plan to keep using those up. Going forward I'm only going to buy the formats I find the easiest/most flexible for the way I scrap, but want to clear all the other designs out of my stash first. I picked up the SS monthly collection everyone seemed to be using this year, and the papers for the EP version for 2022. I'm going to allocate one collection to each of the years I'm working on and will pull everything else from my stash. I have a healthy collection of paper, pocket cards, and embellishments, and would like to make a dent in all of them. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Not especially, except perhaps that I'm giving myself permission to scrap more pages in 12x12 in any given month if I feel like I want to (also better for stash busting) rather than my 2021 approach which was a pocket page + one 12x12 facing page for each week except Christmas where I plan to include a couple of extra 12x12 pages.

I saw those in the coming soon section and clearly promptly forgot. I can't believe we haven't discussed them here (as far as I've seen). I'm definitely a textural person so if I bought any of those they'd probably be bald from being petted so much They totally look like an album worth changing your plans for.

1. Got plans for next year's PL: This is going to be my 3rd year of PL in a monthly format. I really enjoy the monthly format, so going to continue that. Last year I made a single insert to include all of my journaling, but going to switch back just including journaling on several cards throughout my layouts. 2. Format: 6x12. I bought my albums earlier this year during one of SC sales. 3. Products (new and old): I'm going to continue to use Ali Edwards Stories by the Month for the majority of my album, maybe a few cards from my stash here and there. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach: I'm actually hoping to work on 2 PL albums at the same time. I want to go back and create a album for 2019. I didn't start PL till 2020, but my son was born in 2019. I'd love to have albums for every year of his life.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yes! I’m going to continue with monthly documenting. Weekly is just too much commitment. 2. Format? Still using the project life app and printing each year as a 12x12 from blurb 3. Products (new and old)? I bought Ali’s 2017 SBTM bundle when it was on sale really cheap. I planned on using it but instead decided to use her new digital SBTM kit. The 2017 will get used in a past year’s catch up album. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? I usually scrap as I go. This year, I will wait until the end of the month to start working on it and edit how many photos I use.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Monthly is the way to go for me!
2. Format? I've been thinking I wanted to try 9x12 and those velvet albums might just solidify that thought. ETA: Ok, but if pink is the only velvet option I'm going to have to pass! LOL Despite two daughters, I'm just not into pink.
3. Products (new and old)? I've subscribed to Cocoa Daisy to give it a try. If it doesn't work out for me, I've got plenty of stash to fall back on!
4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Just doing Project Life this year is a change compared to the last few years as I've been concentrating on other projects. Costco's closed their in store photo labs so I'll have to decide between printing at home or ordering by mail or finding another in store lab. Maybe I'll try them all out and then see what works best for me!

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yes - after doing every year since 2013, I skipped last year. Didn't even take many pictures. Made big life changes and just wanted to live the life and not worry about documenting it. As things settled, I realized I missed it so I'm in again. 2. Format? 6x8 Simple Stories albums. I love this size and have used it since the beginning - 2 albums per year. 3. Products (new and old)? I've got about a year and a half of unused Cocoa Daisy kits. I thought I was going to be living in an apartment for a year while we built a house and my stash would be packed up for at least a year. That didn't happen, so now I have those kits to use. (House got built earlier than we planned. We're grateful for the nudge we got to start early because we got finished just as the prices jumped, interest rates hit bottom, and the supplies disappeared. We'd never have gotten this house built if we had stuck with our initial plan.) 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Does starting again count? Other than that, I'll stick with what I've done in the past. It really works for me and I also make cards and home decor, so that's where I satisfy my creative side.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yes of course. Just like every year I am planning to do PL. And unlike every year, I hope to actually complete it for once! 2. Format? For the last couple of years I have been using digital designer Just Jaimee's templates. But for some reason she stopped making them a couple of months back, which means I have to recycle some older templates to finish 2021. I think I might go a bit more simple and clean in 2022. It will be 12x12, and probably pocket pages (digital). 3. Products (new and old)? There are countless digital options available to me. It will be a total mish mash of old & new, mix & match. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Nothing new that I can think of at the moment.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? I am one spread away from finishing 2018-2019 Project Life (fits into one album), and I plan to do 2020-2021 next year (one album again). I do not mind being behind AT ALL. In many ways, it's easier.
2. Format? I'm still doing monthly 12x12 in 2022. I'd love to try 9x12 for some older catch-up (pre-kids) or in the far future, but I don't think I can go smaller with taking so many kid photos!!
3. Products (new and old)? I'm excited to really change this up! I'm going partially frozen. I'm going to use my stash for the 2020 pages--including many never opened kits from AE/SC/FJ/ES/KP/more. And then for my 2021 pages, I'll be using Design Team product. It's my first time on a design team, so we'll see what that's all about! As long as I don't end up stressed by the deadlines, I think I'll appreciate the productivity.
4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? I plan to work on the 2020 and 2021 pages simultaneously. For example, I'll document January 2020 and January 2021 in January 2022.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yes. Its my main form of documenting. 2. Format? 12x12 Black cloth album, as usual. I like how they all match on my shelf, lol. I will be doing my usual monthly documenting. 3. Products (new and old)? Im using the PP month cards sleepingbooty linked to document monthly. I haven't canceled my SC subscription but I think I am ready to. I don't know why its so hard to cancel. But with all the shipping issues, I am just tired of it all. I canceled my SOTM kit already. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? I don't think so. If anything, its to be intentional about using stamps in my album. I am also thinking of blogging my PL on my blog again. I don't like sharing them on instagram (I don't know why, I just don't). But didn't mind sharing on my blog. Still mulling it over.

I love that velvet album!
I'm going to continue doing the traditional PL 12x12 album, using mostly Design A pages. I love it, it works for me. I still take a ton of photos so I barely have room for journalling cards.
I just signed up for an Elle's Studio monthly kit subscription and i am super excited to use that for all of 2022. Their products work perfectly for me.
So, I have finally realized exactly what works for me and will continue doing it rather than trying to change things up.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? My family loves it so I feel I owe it to them to keep going 🙄. But I took so few photos this year that needs to be plan #1 for 2022. 2. Format? I ordered a 9x12 from scrapbook.com in my favorite color to “motivate” me 3. Products (new and old)? I have subbed to AE SBTM from the beginning and will probably keep that going. I don’t need much and the products interchange pretty well. Hopefully keeping it simple will keep me going. 4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Hopefully getting my ass in gear 🤦🏻♀️ I only have photos in pockets for Jun-Aug and Sept on is sitting in my phone. I am hoping I can knock it out over winter break and find my mojo for 2022. 2020 totally sucked but I was so optimistic for 2021 that when it sucked, it hit me a lot harder.
Oh and my 6 year old has asked twice this week about why she doesn’t have a book with her name on it (referring to the baby/first year album her siblings have). Also sitting there with photos in pockets and nothing else. So I really want to get that done. The problem is that I want to want to do it if you know what I mean, but I really have nil motivation to do it.

1. Got plans for next year's PL? Yep! I'm getting my stuff all set up for success!
2. Format? I'm switching to 9x12 this year after doing 6x12 the past few years. I've often found that 6x12 isn't big enough for what I want to do, so I'm hoping that 9x12 will be the sweet size.
3. Products (new and old)? I'm using a Scrapbook.com 9x12 album (I ordered 2) and page protectors. I'll be using Ali Edwards's Stories By The Month kits/Story Kits and busting my stash.
4. Anything new or particularly different to your 2021 approach? Like i said above, I'm moving up to 9x12 from 6x12. 12x12 is way too big for the amount of photos I take. I really like doing the weekly approach but monthly is more feasible, so I'm still debating between the two.
