I'm about 2 weeks behind on printing out photos and I've only completed the opening layout and week 1. I guess I've stalled too. Hopefully I will get some done either this weekend or next week.

Also I wanted to add that doing my PL has made me want to create a separate 6x8 story album for longer stories. Something that I've resisted for awhile but now I see the need. I do this! I have my 12x12 PL album for each year and then I keep a 6x8 album for longer stories to tell. I don't add to it super often so I just have one album that covers several years. It's been working for me so far!

It has rained constantly today so I've printed the Dec photos for my 2010 album, and ended up putting the relevant photos from each week into pocket pages, so now all I have to do is the crafty stuff in this album. I've made a really big dent in my pocket pages over the last two years, there are four designs where I only have one left, and I've been focusing on using the ones I don't love in between the design A's.

I am working on dd's last 2020 page spread today. Then on to 2021 for both kids.

And 2021 is done for dd. Just need to journal a few pocket pages.
Going to work on 2021 now for ds. For dd I had about half of 2021 already done. For ds, I have about 4 pocket spreads done.

I have to say, I am really enjoying pocket page scrapbooking.
I can have as many or as few pictures as I want. It's easier to dedicate spaces to them and the title and Journaling.
I don't spend as much time fussing about what size photos, how many, where to place them so I have space for a title and Journaling.
I am either using a 3x4 or a 4x6.
I also enjoy smaller embellishment clusters. Easier to do for me.
Glad I made the switch. And I have made a few 9x12 traditional layouts.

I am the worst at page design, it's the part I like least about scrapbooking. Now, I mostly do a lot of photos, 1or 2 journal cards and 1 or 2 decorated cards. I'm also extremely slow which is why, I stick to a family album and not individual or school albums. I do have some individual 8.5x11 Holiday albums and a Birthday album. Those are just for fun. I'm not concerned about being caught up with those. I put them out with decorations or when it's somebody's birthday month. I have thought of going down to the 9x12 size but I bought LOTS of 12x12 page protectors at a good price. I'm not sure I want to bother cutting them down and using a fuse tool. ETA: As my kids have got older and there's less to scrap, I have enjoyed throwing the small things in there like weather, books read, news, or new restaurants we try.

Finally! I have finally completed my first page for Project Life 2022! Thanks to destined2bmom for her Sketchy Saturday April 30 sketch, which I used for this double page spread. Up until the weekend, I still hadn't 100% decided on a format. I was pretty sure that I wanted to do old-school PL pockets. Then I had to decide whether to do rounded corners or square corners. I know that a lot of people think that rounded corners are out of date, but when I tried both, I decided that I actually really liked the look of rounded corners. 🤷♀️ The only thing I need to decide now is whether to add a number/date to every photo. I have added the date to my as-yet-unfinished Week 1 pages, but I didn't add them to this one.

Ok so I want to beef up my project life a little. This year seems to have gone by so fast so far and I haven't many pictures to show for it. I think I need to see some pages for inspiration. Anybody want to share a spread that you're really proud of?

I have completely stalled on my PL, so I am checking back in here for some inspiration. I haven't finished last year or even really started this year. My photo taking has been absolutely awful, so it shouldn't take too long to catch up. I have traditional 12x12 layouts planned for my INSD weekend crop, but I really want to focus on doing a big catch up in the month of May. I love what I have done of last year's album so I really want to keep up with it for this year.

I’m up to week 14 of this year. Still have a lot of last year to do but I’m proud of the progress on this year. I have made some really fun pages. I wish I could fall in love with the photo management process more. Each week I have 600 photos to cull through and delete to about 60 and then do my project life. I hate this process. Maybe the solution is to stop taking 10 photos of the same thing.

I'm trying to create/share 1-2 spreads per week and share on my Youtube along with other content (I try to share 2 videos per week). Here's my most recent video: youtu.be/YXzke04JviYI'm working from kits most week to try to keep the project manageable. I'm mostly using Ali Edwards and Studio Calico, but also some other products, some older ones too. ETA: Here is the instagram post that goes with it. This was a week I struggled with not having enough photos. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdDfHH-utT1

AussieMeg love your PL page. I have a lot of older product so I typically mix rounded and non rounded and just am ok with it. I’m sure my family or anyone looking at my pages (that aren’t scrappers) wouldn’t even notice/care. Do what you like - always.

This is my plan for iNSD tomorrow...catch up on my PL. My pictures are printed and ready so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm only 10 or 11 weeks behind 🤣

Here’s the last three PL pages I’ve done. I usually use a combo of AE story and monthly kits, really old PL cards, and some Elle’s studio.

paget - I love your pages! How long does it take to get your pages done? I've been struggling finishing pages in less than 3 hours because of decision fatigue. I try to use a kit I made but then I think "oh, I have the perfect stamp/chipboard/embellishment for this, let me find it" and then I get lost looking at all the stuff.

I skip around a lot. I'm proud I have January-May 2021 done with the exception of getting two photos printed. 2017-2020 is not even close to being finished. 2022, not started.

Thank you! ❤️ You know, I can’t really say how long a page takes. I always end up doing little pieces at a time in between other things. Like choosing some cards one evening, stamping a couple things another evening. But I also like dragging it out so I am probably not the best person to ask! Lol Making the choices and digging through products is my favorite part!

I’m sure my family or anyone looking at my pages (that aren’t scrappers) wouldn’t even notice/care. Do what you like - always. I mix it up in an album, but I go either all rounded or all non-rounded in a single PL page protector so sharp corners don’t show behind rounded ones when back to back. I have a lot of old PL cards I’ll never use in a month of Sundays but love flicking through. I use them a fair bit on 12x12 traditional LOs too.
