I just woke up from my "Friday after work nap", so won't be sleeping tonight, lol. I'm trying to decide whether to remain lazy or start wrapping Christmas gifts.
TV? I'm caught up on Brit Box shows these days (and Wheel of Time). I'm currently watching a series from the 90s - Hetty Wainwright or something like that.

Peppermint rumchata came through the door tonight. Didn’t bother mixing it with anything. Delicious straight from the bottle Thanks for the reminder. I bought a bottle snd haven’t opened it yet. I have never had it but it sounded interesting. I really liked peppermint Irish cream.

You asked in another thread for recommendations on what shows to stream. What did you end up watching? I'm watching All Rise from CBS which is now on Hulu. OWN picked up the show for a 3rd season coming next year. I'm really enjoying it. I want Lola's wardrobe. We are watching Loudermilk from Prime - one episode each evening. It's very irreverent. He says all the things you really want to say to people in public but have to say only in your head. I watched all of designated survivor, then the last two seasons of the rookie (I haven't watched the last two week's), season 2 of Prodigal Son, Leverage Redemption. And now I am 1/2 through Newsroom. I like being in the middle of a show when he gets home. It allows me to be distracted I really like the Rookie. A few weeks back I started binging Castle then I watched an episode of the Rookie, then more Castle the next day, and back and forth. It got a little confusing. Ha! I think he looks younger in the Rookie than in Castle.

I watched the final episode of The Shrink Next Door. Wow, Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell were amazing in it. Now I am watching a boring photography instruction video. Also I am reading Carly Simon’s autobiography called Boys in the Trees.
I’ve been trying to get a succession of pre-Christmas tasks done and I’m starting to stress about running out of time. But I think that’s just my usual thing a week before Christmas.

We just got back from doing some work on DS's new house. He wants to move in the week after Christmas so we are trying to get as much painted as we can. It was trim and doors tonight. Tomorrow more trim and doors and the living room. Luckily, it's small.
I've been binging Snapped on Peacock lately. It scares DH a little that I have watched so much of it because it's been pretty rocky between us this year and he's afraid I'll get ideas. I assure him by telling him I can't do what they did, they got caught.
The Witcher is good. I haven't started the new season yet, but I think I will this weekend.

Enjoy Newsroom. That was a really good series snd I was bummed it didn’t get more seasons. I’m annoyed as my MIL called after dinner tonight to say she isn’t feeling well snd wants to push brunch until Sunday. She has done this many times and yes I sympathize that she isn’t feeling well but if it’s a flare it’s most likely been going on for days and we have asked her to give us a heads up. All the food is purchased snd I spent the day baking, shopping and cleaning for tomorrow. So for now family Christmas is bumped a day. I’m thinking the last time it ended up postponed for several weeks. With Covid I don’t want to reschedule later it’s this weekend or several months from now. So I’m unreasonably annoyed. If this was the first time I wouldn’t but darn it this year sucks enough as it is and I’m tired and cranky. I’m hoping I feel like making an extra batch of cookies tomorrow as I ran out of energy today. I want to try a new recipe. Chocolate cherry blossoms or something like that. I think tomorrow is going to start with a mimosa I hope you have some fun things planned over your break. We need to figure out a few things we can do without getting too close to others. I’m hoping to drive around snd check out some light displays but not sure what else.

I am feeling so old! I just literally fell asleep while watching Colbert & Anderson Cooper with my Dh. I’ve subbed full-time this week, with a trip up to MD yesterday to take my mom to the cardiologist. Today was the ID classroom, which is so much physical labor. My Apple Watch even ran out of battery while I fell asleep on the couch! Winter break started for me at 4:30, so apart from a Red Cross CPR course tomorrow and a visit to my oncologist next week, I’m relatively free for the next 2 weeks.
If you can even consider looking at a dating app, you are moving forward. That’s a good thing.
As far as binging, the 2nd season of The Great dropped last week, and it is as funny & raunchy as the first.

-Season 3? Okay, that means I feel free to say that the Maggie in Africa story was just too much. As was the red wig, actually. -You might like Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Same kind of Sorkin show as The Newsroom but the world is a Saturday Night Life-like TV show instead of a news TV show. -I watched both seasons of Dead to Me recently and was thoroughly entertained. Fair warning: the seasons are pretty similar. -I wrapped all my presents tonight. (Wrapping for me consists of sticking the objects in bags I have reused for many years and stuffing some fabric mesh on top. Yes, I make everybody give me back the bags and the fabric. I’m a crotchety, demanding, miserly tree hugger.) Home Wrecking Wench? His Wicked Wench? Hairy Whoreface Whorebag? I’ll play. Hyena with Wrinkles?

Good evening! What time is it where you are? It's nearly 1:30pm Saturday here. I just got back from doing some Christmas shopping. I'm trying to work out what HWW stands for. I know who it refers to, just not sure what it stands for. Home Wrecking Wench? His Wicked Wench? [AussieMeg googles: 'insults starting with W'] AAAAHHHHHH! Whore! Hairy Whoreface Whorebag? nicely done...home wrecking where. I'm up for other insults too 7:27 pm here Somewhere I heard the term “wasband” for an XH and I used that term for years when I spoke of him. It’s not nearly as colorful as HWW but it does make people chuckle.

Home whoring weasel! I'm glad that you reached out freecharlie. I'm really sorry that I come across as so agressive on your threads. I tend to over support people that I like. Tonight was nice. Both kids are home and ods shared a bit about the work he has to do this break. He has lesson plans due so that he is ready to teach in January. If you could see me jumping for joy you would be amazed at how high I can jump. Thank you for being a teacher. For binge watching I would start w/the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It's so much fun and totally worth watching just for one scene w/Tony Shaloub. I won't spoil any of it, but there is one scene and those of you who watch the show know what I'm referring to. That you contemplate dating tells me that you're taking steps fwd. WTG.

Like this is my fault and I am somehow screwing up his plans and life. I can't wait for this divorce to be over and move on with my life. If I can't keep the house, then fine, but it will be nice when I don't have his ass near me anymore

Just keep reminding yourself that he's a completely and totally awful man. Who has the nerve to do what he's done and then blame you? He's trying to manipulate you and his actions are a form of abuse. He knows how to get under your skin and play w/your mind. You're a bright woman and know better. When doubt creeps in, just remind yourself that he cheated on you. You are innocent in all of this. He's a pig! A true Oinker.
You're a catch and he was too stupid to recognize the incredible woman who was right in front of him.
Just keep letting your lawyer know about everything he's doing. Write it all down and let your lawyer handle him.
Meanwhile, try your best to have some fun this weekend. The best revenge is to live a great life!

Home Wrecking Wench? His Wicked Wench? [AussieMeg googles: 'insults starting with W'] I'll take HWW for 500 Alex! Hideous Wanton Wildebeest! I've been waiting for Season 2 of the Witcher. But seeing as I am now knee deep in "Succession", it might be a couple of weeks until I can get to it. Any fans here of Carnival Row? I am SO eclectic in what I watch. I LOVE the trashy Housewives Shows from Bravo, yet I will spend hours watching documentaries. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Handmaid's Tale! I really loved the first two seasons of "You" but I am struggling with Season 3. Quite frankly, I would be afraid to have a psychoanalysis done.

I understand you're not ready for dating yet but as my favorite cousin always says, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. 🤣 I'm recovering after having laser skin resurfacing. I look and feel like a boiled tomato. The peeling process is finally starting and now I also look like Deadpool under his mask--like yesterday's hot dog still rolling around on that rotisserie at 7-eleven. And the pain! And to think I paid someone to do this to me! It certainly better be worth it. I'm hoping to remove sun damage that makes my forehead look like it has liver spots. Let us know! I’ve only done botox and filler and wonder about whether resurfacing gain is worth the (visual) pain.

I’m just chilling at home watching diehard and tiktok. I Have to work tomorrow, otherwise I would have had a glass of wine. It’s been a long week. Tomorrow is my 6th day in a row. It’s certainly been a full moon week at the hospital I tell you. Lots of Covid and alcoholics. Ugh Oldest DD requested die hard for Christmas Eve - so we are going to watch love actually then die hard 😂😂 My two holiday favorites!

I was quite happy with the way my Botox and fillers went, but of course they can't get rid of the sun damage spots, so I decided to go for it after seeing some of my doctor's before and afters. She's not the one you go to if you want to look fake, so I totally trust her. It will take a couple months to heal fully. I'm almost 50 (in two weeks) so I figured it was time. I'll let you know!

You know what cracks me up about wasbands?
They spend their entire marriage wanting and asking their wives to do everything for them. They become helpless and pathetic and then complain that they are being controlled and emasculated. Nope buddy, you did that to yourself.

I hope you have a good time at bunco! I've never played, but everyone I know who goes to bunco has a blast! (I'm guessing it's not that the game is that fun, but the company and the treats are!)
