Let's leave last year behind and ring in the new year with one thread.
I haven't been exercising lately and I can feel it. My work out friend and I are going to meet at 8 am each day this week while we are both on break to either walk the track or use the weight machines.
I'm down just about 40 lbs for the year. Half through hard work and half because of my divorce diet. Since I'm getting my appetite back, hard work it will have to be.
My goal is to lose another 20 lbs by May when yds graduates. Both boys and ods gf have agreed to do new family pictures this summer and I'd like to not feel so fat in them.
So anything you want to throw out? Anything you want to ring in?
I'll try and bump this thread on the 1st.

I'm in. I'm no longer going to the gym (due to omicron spreading rapidly here). So walking outside, hand weights, bodyweight exercises I can do in my bedroom are my thing for now. The biggest thing I'm trying to do is better eating habits. I'm tracking food intake hoping that helps when it comes time to decide what to eat.

40lbs is amazing. I know the divorce diet is super no fun but hopefully you see it as a silver lining.
A couple weeks ago I was really disciplined about changing my diet and reducing carbs and wine and boom lost 4lb but now it has stalled. I’m desperately trying to lose another 5 in the next 2 weeks. Mainly just eating way fewer carbs and walking/running 5-10 miles a day. It’s super hard.

I ought to join in with you all. I’ve developed an exercise habit (which I never saw as something I’d do), but my eating habits are in the toilet and I hate how I look.
Next week….

I was doing good, and I was proud. I was down 30 lbs. Then my Mom passed away in July. I kept doing okay until September. I was hovering around 20-25 lbs still. The closer the holidays got, I completely derailed myself.
I am an emotional eater. I know this. I know it HAS TO STOP.
so, today, I plugged the Fitbit in again, I have my iPad charging, and the treadmill will be used starting tomorrow. I have one at home, so no excuse. I can watch my shows via iPad, so that’s the plan.
Christmas is over, and I have to have a serious talk with myself. I will do better this week, and will step on the scale next week to see where I am. I don’t want to tomorrow, because it won’t change it. First thing is no pop. That will start me going.
I’m not proud of myself anymore, but I will be soon!

I was doing so well until the last week of work before break. I'd started a little before Halloween and lost 14 lbs. Then work stress reached a peak and I just gave up and went nuts. But I HAVE to get my ^&*( back together starting tomorrow. I was doing Weight Watchers, and I'm logging back in tomorrow! But not brave enough to step on a scale yet.
I was also doing 10 minute cardio dancing to wake up in the morning, and 10 minute walk at lunch. I need to get those going again, too.

I would love to join.
Seven weeks ago tomorrow I started doing a yoga routine I downloaded on my tablet. It is just a quick 10 to 12 minute sequence.
I have followed the program faithfully, did the 30 days of beginner poses and am now halfway through the intermediate program.
The scale hasn't changed yet, but my clothes are fitting better and I have noticed that I have more flexibility and less soreness in my back.
I need to add some cardio into my day, although carving out time for myself seems so difficult. I always put myself last priority wise, so in the new year I want to start making my health come first.
Another goal is to drink more water. I am slowly improving that, and have water reminders on several different aps. The problem is they all remind me at different times and they record different amounts. So if I drank everything each one said I would be completely waterlogged.
I look forward to getting healthier with the Peas.

I don’t mess around with my weight these days, but we’re recommitting to healthy living and fitness this week. If Covid allows, I may be spending spring break in Colombia. I’d like to be strong/fit enough to take full advantage of all the outdoor activities.
We generally eat about 80% clean but I like to bump that up to 90% or better in January for a little health boost.

I definitely need to get back into healthy eating. Haven’t been doing as much exercise as I should and working from home since August has been bad for the waistline. I think I need to lose several kgs. A few outfits are definitely feeling snug.

I am going to use resistance bands I bought a few years ago. I have been really stiff and sore and I think it's from lack of weight bearing activity. I run once a week and walk 2-3 times a week, however the darkness is good excuse not to walk. So I may do indoor bike instead for the next month or 2. I'm also going to try to eat less sugar and more fiber. My work pants are getting tight and I don't want to buy new ones!

I'll join. I'd really like to get back into shape. I hurt my foot this year and turned into a couch potato. I want to be stronger, so I want to find a way to exercise daily without hurting my foot. It just takes some planning and goals.
I've gained a lot of weight this year, and I need to pay closer attention to planning and hunger signals. It's hard right now without a kitchen, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

I’ve been doing NOOM since October and lost 18 lbs. Noom is all about moderation but clearly I’ve learned very little because I’ve gone crazy the last few days. Trying to get back to some semblance of healthy eating.

I had been doing pretty good, walking regularly eating much better, not perfect, but definitely better, then my hip really started hurting. When I took a couple day break from walking it felt much better. I am thinking I need to go see a Dr. for it, but really hate the thought of that process with COVID and the fact that I really do not want the medical expense. I don't think it is going to end up being an easy fix.
DH has also been feeling the weight creep back on and wants to start keto again. So that will make it easier to stay on track. I need to find some exercise that works for me. I would love to get up and do something in the morning before work, but that requires me to get up just a little earlier. How come excuses are so much easier that the work.
One thing I really want to commit to this coming year is to meal plan/prep on a regular basis. When I do that we eat much better for lunch and supper.

I just bought this water bottle, and I swear the little markings have REALLY helped me keep up with my water. I got it on sale for $7, not sure if it is still on that price. I got the 64oz one. There is a 128 oz (I guess that is a gallon?) but OMG I am constantly having to pee now just drinking the 64 oz, I cannot imagine 128oz!!!!! Bridget in MD the app I use is from the play store called Yoga for Beginners - Yoga App. The icon is a red square with a woman arching back. It has definitely helped with many of the aches and pains. I have had four surgeries on my lower back and I have found that this has helped with the residual aches and stiffness. It has also helped with the nerve pain in my hamstrings.

I think I am going to try to join this thread this year. I need to get myself back on track. A few years ago, I lost 25 pounds, and in the past two years, I have gained at least 15 of it back. I walk, but not daily like I need to. I also hike, but I haven't done much of that lately, either. I have been stress eating, and I feel like crap.

When I do that we eat much better for lunch and supper. I have been walking at least an hour a day and I noticed I have hip pain too. My friend wanted to go on an "easy" hike, only 45 minutes and pretty level. After an hour of mostly uphill I finally looked at the trail map and realized we were on a 3+ mile moderate trail. Luckily we were pretty much at the highest point, so mostly downhill from there. I may never let her live that one down. Then the next day for some dumb reason I decided to do a 3 mile walk with our dog. I saw what I thought was a certain bridge in the distance and figured I go that far and turn around. I am not sure what I saw, but by the time I got to the bridge I had gone 1.5 miles. That was pretty much flat, but 2 long walks in 2 days really did it to my hip and I did not do much after that. After the new year I have a different insurance policy so I am going to get it checked out and see what they suggest. I am thinking it will be cortisone shots at first, but if that means I can do easy hikes and walks with our puppers I will be happy.

Yoga is something I would love to start doing. I was planning to join a yoga studio near my house, but it's kind of pricey, and I can't really afford it right now. In the past, I have done yoga with Adrienne on you tube, but very sporadically. I will check out that app, too.

My healthy eating has gone to shit for December. Too many late nights getting cookie orders done so lots of fast food.
DH was just diagnosed with high cholesterol, so once all the holiday gluttony is over, we are both working on getting healthier with food choices.
He is also going to join me with working out. Not together, he doesn't want to do that, but I'm setting him up with my Beachbody login and he can do workouts on his own.
I just finished 8 weeks of Lift 4, and restarted today. It was amazing to go back and see Day 1/Week 1 what I was using for weight and what I was able to start with this time!

Woke up this morning feeling lightheaded/dizzy, nauseous and constipated. Didn't fall asleep well last night either. Blaming it all on the crap I ate from Friday thru Sunday. Did a clean sweep of the kitchen last night and everything that was left got thrown in the garbage. Kept only the salami, cheese and crackers from one of the Harry & David baskets we received. Anything chocolate, cookie, sugary etc went into the trash. Yes I felt a twinge of guilt for being so wasteful but I just can't have it in the house. Got to work this morning and the breakroom and our office pod is still full of candy boxes, cookie boxes and goodie baskets I am also in WW and since joining in October was down 9.6 lbs - until last week when I went up 4.6 I didn't track all weekend because I knew it would be a shit show - but starting over again today and hoping to get back into my morning exercise routine (now that work will be getting back to normal) in the mornings - I was faithfully dong 15 minutes elliptical and 15 minutes yoga. Will go to my WW workshop on Wednesday and hope the scale isn't too cruel. We can do this ladies!!!!
