cakediva do you use any of their other products? Nope - just the workouts. I was given a free box of shakeology from a friend - it’s ok if you add stuff to it but it isn’t worth the money I don’t think.

I decided after Christmas to get back to low carb. I am not a keto fan so I don't cut carbs to that degree, but I know for me personally I feel so much better when I eat low carb and higher fat and protein. I have lost 2 pounds this week just by cutting back. I aim for around 100g of carbs per day I eat fruit and get about 60 carbs a day. Need the sugar for good mental health. There is no bread, rice, pasta, corn or sugar in my diet. The rest I find easy.

Still working on returning to healthy eating. As of this morning I weighed what I weighed on December 24. I hate the fact that I really can’t seem to eat in moderation. I never just eat one cookie. I’m still on Noom and have lost 18 pounds. I’d like to lose about four more. But what concerns me most is how to maintain it. My work life in February March and April is so incredibly busy it’s very hard to eat healthy and I almost always fall back on fast food.

I did a bike class this morning. The other day when I tried it, I thought my legs were going to fall off. But later realized that a cord had come undone (or was never connected in the first place) so the resistance was quite high. Today my legs did feel tired, but my heart rate was not as high as when I use the elliptical, and I wasn't sweating. I know I am just getting used to it but at this point I think I will still rotate between the two machines.

All I can say is I am grateful that the kettleball class was only 30 minutes as it kicked my butt

The weather canceled walking this afternoon. Luckily I walked a little more at work today than usual.
I tracked my food today and protracted my food tomorrow.
I need to up my water intake, so I need to find a jug to keep in my fridge at work and then maybe a tumbler to keep on my dask.

I’ve done well at pre-tracking/tracking my food this week. I pre-track the night before and then adjust as needed through the day. I also went to the indoor walking track last night while DS was at practice, and today I did 45 min cycling and 10 min yoga.

I had planned to go swimming today but we got too much snow. I am really struggling with activity and don’t know how to get out of this rut. I need the gym to open in my complex again but only the pool is allowed to be open.
I ate well today. Life is so boring. Lol.

I dug out a Biggest Loser Sculpting DVD for weight training. It was OK. I was counting the minutes until it ended, BUT I was pleased to see it got my heart rate up. I got all three COVID shots in my arm and it REALLY bothered me - I hope that is going to work itself out soon!

Mfp is telling me I can lose 5lbs in 5 weeks. I know that is a pretty healthy way to do it. But I want to do more.
Just whining

My attention span is very short so I did yoga with Adrienne last nigh. I think it went well.

I’ve been doing NOOM since October and lost 18 lbs. Noom is all about moderation but clearly I’ve learned very little because I’ve gone crazy the last few days. Trying to get back to some semblance of healthy eating. Emelle I started Noom back on Dec 7. My main goal then was to just start increasing my water intake and logging what I'm eating. I was SO happy because during the holiday, I did indulge in everything I love, but what I learned was to not GORGE myself on it just because it was in front of me. Some things I even skipped because I decided I'd rather have other more "red" foods in moderation. So, it was good learning for me. I did increase my water intake, but didn't hit my goal of 100 oz. (Because I increased water, I did decrease SWEET TEA!) LOL So, fast forward to this week, as of today, I am down 2 lbs! That's a victory considering the holidays! LOL I've met my water goal four days in a row! I've also increased my "green" food intake and reduced my red foods to stay within the suggested amount. Overall, even though the scales don't show it, I feel way, less "puffy" So, lets stick to it! And, maybe in your busy time in April, you can meal prep a little to avoid fast food? That may make it easier if your food is with you already and you don't have to stop somewhere, wait in line, etc... Are you on facebook? There's a couple of great Noom groups on there. You could post that question and a ton of helpful people will give you lots of ideas on how to make it work. Those folks are very inspiring and they post lots of pictures!!! Best wishes!!

I have done well with exercising and eating all week. I know it has only been four days, but I am actually up about .5lb. I don't know if I posted it here or not, but a few months ago I was thinking about only weighing once a month. I am typically one who weighs every day. But lately I am feeling more discouraged with the scale because I lose so slowly and it can discourage me if I don't see progress. But then part of me worries that if I wait a month and then still don't see any progress, I just wasted a month where I should have made adjustments sooner.
ETA that I am also ovulating so I am hoping that the gain is because of water retention. I also know that when you start exercising you can retain water as well (although so far I haven't been sore at all). But even with that knowledge, it is discouraging. Just have to stay the course.

I've found I can get by with just a very small portion of something I LOVE instead of gorging myself.

I'm at one week on plan today. So far, so good! I don't use scales because I obsess and get defeated when I do what I'm supposed to do but the scale doesn't move or, worse yet, goes up. I can already feel the difference, small as it is.
Walking would be a hole lot easier if the rain would stop...

My dad’s BFF’s wife is skinny on Noom. She looks amazing and has lost 55 pounds. Go you!

I have tracked all week. I have been to the gym 4 times. The scale has not moved. I am really focusing on getting protein grams in. I am so frustrated!

My question is how much food are you eating for the amount of calories you are burning. Gym 4x in a week is impressive. Log your food and see if you are eating too many calories. I hope this helps.

I am tracking. Staying in my calorie range. It is a juggling act. If I don't eat enough especially protein, I will lose muscle. I have really built up a lot of lean muscle. But it also makes losing weight harder. Apparently I haven't found the right combo yet. I do a lot of lifting.

I try to get motivated to swim but I am finding it hard. I have the pool to myself and yet don’t go enough.

I know my legs are leaner because at my current weight, my jeans are a bit loose in the the thighs. I am carrying extra around my mid section!

I just did day 1 of the “30 days of yoga with Adrienne” - I liked it and was surprised how hard it was. Anyone else doing a 30 day challenge?
