It is so great to see old and new faces! With bigger teams it might be difficult to keep up with everyone though!
scrapmaven Do what you can when you can, then you can enjoy the process. The last few days have been stressful with DS and his BFF . . . so no creative energy! christinec68 Organize then shop your supplies, use the new with the old and pick one project for awhile until your fancy moves somewhere else. How did your sorting go? You get points by the hour in the Organization challenge! AussieMeg Get your book finished so you can print away! **GypsyGirl** I've tried multiple ways to get the badge to load and am still stymied! nylene Didn't realize your family was so big! Hope to see you online soon! jjpeapea Is your DD at home? My DD16 son on the FASD spectrum is at home, still in HS with a modified diploma. We are seeking more services through our county's Intellectual and Development Disabilities office, but there are not enough Personal Support Workers available to take on his case or provide respite services . . . . You would think the cats would at least be able to smell each other? msliz Thanks for hosting, I've just not been able to drop in with all the holiday stuff going on! waffles Collect those organization points! Prayers for all in your area affected by the tornado, and glad you are safe! joyfulnana Hope to see you soon online as well, I am with you about paper being satisfying! I did dabble a bit in digital, but it wasn't as fun! Also I think pocket pages would be to limiting . . . at least for me! MDscrapaholic I listen to football and movies that DH and DS are watching and sometimes get called into the Living room, my craft room is just off the living room. Don't think I could scrap while watching football though! jediannie First time mother by adoption at 50 . . . DSD was 8 when I married her dad, so yes sometimes the energy our kids have is wearing, but we have wisdom on our side! Chinagirl828 Aren't all cats spoiled? Please remind me what part of the world you live in, as I think you are in a totally different time zone? kitbop So good to read you! Yes, I can imagine you would have hoped to be more of an empty nester at this point, but the world has changed the last 2 years that make it hard for our kiddos to launch. I'm on your side too, thinking that no album is truly ever done. But I have 2 projects in mine that I just have a few layouts to have them be "done".
I did a few outdoor chores today, dog pop patrol as we are supposed to have up to 18 inches in the next few days. Did what I could with the 2-3 inches already on the ground. Haven't been motivated to craft, but have cooked some killer meals! We had dungeness crab (on sale for $5.99/#), roasted baby asparagus, hush puppies, green salad, and fresh fruit with the ILs for NYs Day yesterday. Also watched the Rose Parade in the morning. My niece was marching with the Band Directors Marching Band, 270 strong from across the US and Mexico. They sounded great (as they should!), she played tenor sax, one of the 30 or so instruments she can play! I used to live in Pasadena and have seen the parade in IRL for about 8 years. It is spectacular in person! Today the left over crab became crab cakes.
Hopefully DS will go to school tomorrow, then wrestling practice. I will start on undecorating the house for Christmas.
We have other exciting news to share that I will save for another time when it is for sure!

Hello Chinagirl828 ! Totally understandable kitbop - I was out of town most of yesterday and didn't check the boards until I was home - posting on my phone is a pain. angel97701 - your NYDay meal sounds delicious! Is anyone scrapping during the week? I need to do some housework but have scrappy plans as well. DD15 goes back to school tomorrow so I'll have an empty house during the day

Good morning scrappers! We have a snow day on the first day back to school for 2022. Yesterday we were at 65 F and today we are looking at at least 4 inches already out! Temps are dropping fast with the high when we woke up at 33F and the wind is NUTS! We have played a little, will play some more but inside for most of the day minus shoveling when it stops. Maryland is so strange!!! I did get four pages done over the weekend, I need to tally those up.

DS16 is back in school, and the snow started about an hour later. 1-3 inches, right now it is very wet!
Linda (for our new team members Linda's tag is "homeschoolmum") I am doing as grammadee said, I posted challenges!
A few business chores, then some Christmas decor removal, then maybe crafting? Ha, that is hopeful thinking!

crystalb - stay warm but I bet the snow is pretty. angel97701 - good luck with that to-do list. My older kids got snow today also - they are SO happy! Especially DD21 who has never lived somewhere it snowed before and has only seen snow on trips a couple of times. It's 49 here today after being 80 yesterday - I'm happy it's cooled off though.

Hi everyone. I’m Jacqueline and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I’m 46, married, and child free. I’m a teacher, and we aren’t scheduled to start back to class until Thursday. I’m very grateful for that because it is snowing like crazy right now. I mostly scrapbook 12x12 layouts, but I also do daily pages (when not at work) in notebooks, right now 6x8 but I have also gone as small as 3x4. I do the Layout a Day challenge in February so that is when I will get a lot of my points. I’m also a card maker. I’ve really enjoyed reading all your introductions.

hi justjac - welcome to the team! Seems like lots of people have snow right now - it even flurried in the Florida panhandle today (but alas not where I am)

Hiya peas! I'm Ryann from CA (but dreaming of WA). I'm married, child free and have 2 cats. I am a stay-at-home-wife and sell handmade on Etsy. I mostly create 12x12 layouts, but also mini albums, junk journals/books, DIY embellishments, home decor/gifts. I also enjoy embroidering on paper & felt, knitting and polymer clay. Thank you Linda for leading the team and AussieMeg for creating our logo!

You forgot to add..."and relax and let Linda be the leader" Thanks Linda for taking us on! Hahaha! It actually crossed my mind when I typed that, that I sounded like the leader lol. Old habits Thank you Linda for leading us I'll try to let you lol! And thank you AussieMeg for the cool badges! angel97701 I sure hope to be cropping online this weekend. I've missed it. It feels like part of my normal weekend routine now and things feel weird without them lol. I looked through the one year I completed PL - in the app, and man I really love those pages. So many small daily details. Definitely want to do PL again this year in addition to 12x12. But I think I would rather use my stash and do a physical book this year. As I like to say, I can't do digi because I'm married to paper. And if you saw my paper stash, you would understand off to see what challenges I can set. It's also weird to be setting them for the quarter, but weird in such a good way. I think I'm going to love having quarterly teams. ETA: I added three challenges Linda.

angel97701 so sweet of you to ask about my DD. She's 30 and will live with us until we can't manage. She's pretty sweet, although there are plenty of mistakes from lack of thinking things through. She has a sunny disposition. She loves to be generous but she does like ALL the attention. And sweets. We're lucky to have a great sheltered workshop that she loves going to. I've read on the board about your sons and I see how much grace you bring to your joys and cares concerning them. Thinking of those of you with piles of snow. Our friends in Fredericksburg have been without electricity for over 24 hours now. I'm looking forward to making valentines. Christmas cards go to people I don't want to lose track of, valentines go to people where I want to express my friendship or love. I'm expecting some Kat Scrappiness supplies tomorrow to make some valentine shaker cards.

And if you saw my paper stash, you would understand I have done both paper and digi, but honestly, the size of my paper stash is what pulled me back to primarily doing paper layouts again, so I totally understand

Hey team! Happy to be here. I’m not super good at keeping up with the chatty side of the board. I thought I should introduce myself- I’m scrappyrabbit, in my late twenties married and have a dog! I scrap our day-to-day, outdoor adventures, and family stuff. Basically anything. My goal is to finish 2021 and stay frozen. I primarily scrap 12x12, but I have made mini albums here and there and dabble in Cardmaking.
That’s me in a nutshell! Excited for a new year.

Well after spending 4 hours sorting 6 totes in the garage on Monday I've done little else crafty or putting away Christmas. We had a huge snow dump on Tuesday, which lead to some shoveling chores, and then take my MIL for her yearly MRI check-up for her non-cancerous tumor. We didn't want them driving. Something tugged at my heart strings about taking a 3 day sub job at my favorite school. Same one that I was in lock down back in December. Turns out it is for the yearbook and leadership teacher that also teaches one Jr LA class. The mentor English teacher was really glad it was me to take the job. Easy peasy with the kids, and they have the same teacher for 3 days, the bonus for me? Two open periods! Teaching the LA kids a lesson on the American Dream. Kind of interesting in that we are in the middle of the pandemic and their dreams look totally different from kids just 3 years ago!
I've been doing research on a project for DH and I and finally made our decision today, as time was getting short!
So Christmas is still all up in the house, won't down until the weekend, but will really try to get as much done before scrap online time on Saturday. Then leave the rest for Sunday. Hope my crafting mojo shows up, as it's been MIA for awhile.

Happy Friday! It's been a busy and mostly good week. I did manage to finish one layout and start another one this week. I am sure there will be some scrappy time this weekend since we are both wiped from the holidays and a crazy work week plus we got a little snow here. Not too much but I'll use it as an excuse to stay close to home. I'm curious to see how we did with the "Challenge" challenge. I added a handful but some of went to town!

well done everyone with setting challenges - looks like just over 50% of us posted at least one challenge. We have a TON of challenges and inspiration so hopefully we can get scrapping this weekend.
I started a layout yesterday but it just wasn't coming together -hopefully something on the challenge list will jumpstart for me.

Happy weekend! Anyone got plans to scrap? I'm hosting an online crop tomorrow from noon-4 EST. Mostly so that I don't let the whole weekend get away from me without scrapping. Like today is already getting away from me lol.
I've got errands to run and the usual household chores. I could potentially scrap tonight during that crop, but they moved the Chiefs game from tomorrow to tonight, and when push comes to shove, the Chiefs will probably win out over cropping lol.
I haven't looked through all the challenges yet, but I love that I have a whole quarter to earn points. I want to earn that mega points bonus.

I'm hoping to scrap this weekend also - need to get Christmas down and away though. joyfulnana - that mega points bonus looks awesome, doesn't it? I just need to find my mojo. how is everyone doing? Feeling encouraged by the challenges or a little overwhelmed? I find if they are overwhelming, I just either pick ONE challenge that looks doable and make a layout or card that meets it and then look through to see if it meets any others OR I just do a layout or card and then either see what challenges it meets or count easy peasy. Remember this is supposed to be fun! If counting points and following the challenges inspires you - awesome. IF you find it too much - just scrap as you usually do and count up the number of projects at the end of the quarter and take the easy peasy points and call it good. Or do a combination as time and mojo allows. Check in here - tell us what you're working on or what's happening in your life that's interfering with crafty time.

WOW! That is a LIST! so much inspiration. I do find it overwhelming right now but that is probably because this past week was a total wash with school...life. Snow storm monday that kept school out Monday/tuesday, late start Wednesday, full day (but kids had appointments first thing) Thursday then another storm had no school on Friday. I just gave in and we had almost another whole week off homeschool. I can't compete with freshly fallen snow lol (we don't get a lot here). All that to say I was able to get 8 layouts done so far! And read a whole book! wohooo!
