Welcome Ryann, angel97701, MDscrapaholic, kitbop, waffles, natscraps, joyfulnana, msliz, anniebeth24, nylene, scrapmaven, AussieMeg, **GypsyGirl** , christinec68, scrappyrabbit, tc, jjpeapea, cmpeter, justjac, Chinagirl828, KikiPea crystalbI'm excited about the new quarterly teams - and having a BIG team! This is our thread to talk about anything scrappy or otherwise, ask questions, look for inspiration, and encourage each other. I think it would be nice to introduce ourselves for starters. I'm Linda - I scrap mostly 8.5x11 with some 8x8 albums thrown in. I have three kids - DS30 and DD21 are grown and flown and sharing a house while DD15 is still at home - and six cats - four seniors and two kittens. You'll see all of them in my layouts. After a super busy December between furniture moving, unpacking, DS coming hom, DD21 moving out...I'm looking forward to a quieter and more creative January.

Hi everyone. linda, I love that you're a cat lady. Me too. I have 2 cats, but I will try and snuggle any kitty cat that crosses my path. I have 2 sons who are both in grad school. It's just dh and I in the house. Since I'm not the healthiest pea in the pod I will not be able to meet deadlines and some months may not even touch paper. If this will cause issues for the team then I will graciously back out. This year I'm going to focus on my happy planner. I'm looking fwd to working w/everyone.

scrapmaven - we're happy to have you and while we hope you'll be feeling well enough to create, we'll certainly understand if you're not. I can tell you for sure - some months I get plenty of points and some months I've gotten none - and it's been fine. It's really all for encouragement and fun anyway!

Hi Team...Happy New Years!! It's been a while since I joined a team or even scrapbooked for that matter. I'm hoping to really dive back in this year, especially after the shopping frenzy of last year. I'm primarily a 12x12 scrapper but will make a card here and there. I'm all over the place with subject matter. I have so family pics, vacation pics, girl trip pics, childhood pics and a book of me project going. linda - thanks for being our team leader scrapmaven - do what you can! I've had plenty of months with little to no points. The points are just for fun.

scrapmaven I am so excited that you have decided to join in, and I honestly don't care if you don't earn a single point! 🤩 Same goes for all the other new faces and returning faces in both teams. Seeing that we're doing introductions..... I have a partner and two kids aged 24 and 17, who are barely home. Most of the photos I've taken over the last two years have been of my dog, because we haven't really been anywhere or done anything during the pandemic. I've been working from home since March 2020, and there are only so many layouts of walking the dog that I can do! I am a digital scrapper and I do 12x12 exclusively. I also do Project Life, but I am yet to finish a year! That's my big goal for 2022, to actually finish the year and get it printed into a book.

Hey fellow Paper Posse team members..... I have added a link to Linda 's team badge, that has been saved in the Two Peas Flickr gallery. (Posted as Small 150x150.) I was hoping that people would be able to download it from the gallery, but it doesn't look like you can. Therefore I have put in in my Dropbox, so anyone with a Dropbox account can download it from there, then save it to your own Flickr or other photo hosting site, then add it to your siggy. Paper Posse badge - Dropbox linkIf anyone knows any other way to do it, let me know! It should be saved as a png file, otherwise it seems to save with a white box around it instead of a circle.

Happy New Year! welcome christinec68 - welcome back! AussieMeg - I can relate to the so many dog pictures - only in my case it's cat. Thank you for the badge - I saved and uploaded to a private FB album and shared the image link to my signature - I think it worked

Happy New Year everyone! Excited to see so many familiar names. I am a long lapsed scrapbooker with about 8 unfinished albums that need to be completed. Most of them are the 12x12 format, and I always went for a simple Creative Memories look. One of my goals this year is to complete all those albums, then purge what's left of my scrapbooking supplies since I've gone totally digital. I totally understand all the cat (and dog) photos since I just have one DD (34) and no grandchildren. We had cats for 40 years, but don't currently. I will enjoy looking at all the cat photos! AussieMeg - I've downloaded the badge (thank you!) but I can't figure out how to get the badge to show. Where am I supposed to upload it to?

Thanks for hosting Linda . I love our name! I won't be doing much scrapping until much later in the month, but didn't want to be shut out the next 2 months if I didn't sign up. I have tried to download the badge but have given up. Technology and I don't mix well. I am Nylene. I am married for 54 years and have 4 grown children, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grands. I scrap mostly the kids and always 8.5xll size. I am happy to get to know more of the peas. This should be a fun group.

welcome nylene - no worries about not scrapping right out of the gate. I struggled a bit with the badge also -and I had early access so more time to play with it. AussieMeg did a fabulous job with it though - I love the colours.

Thanks so much for being a team leader, linda. I'm definitely here for fun and encouragement. I'm 63, have a husband, a special needs adult daughter, and my grown son is visiting for the holidays. We have a cat and my son brought his cat. My son keeps his cat in his room and can you believe the cats don't seem to know each other exists. My main memory keeping has been pocket page (Project Life) for about eight years now but I may be getting tired of that. But I am looking forward to getting my December pictures to do kind of a December Daily. I'm looking forward to 28-4-28 and the encouragement and inspiration there.

Thanks for leading our team Linda, and thanks for the badge AussieMeg!
I'm Liz, mom of 3 girls 23, 23, and 18. I live in New England with DH and youngest DD. Since the oldest 2 DD's moved out in 2021, I decided that this is the year I'll quit my family scrapbook project. I'm going to use this coming year to work on filling in gaps in previous years' albums, but I won't be starting a new one for 2022. The girls are capable enough to manage their own photo projects from here on out.
Instead, I'm hoping to start using IG for a more "me centric" memory keeping project, and in 2023 when I see what I've amassed, I might print it out and make some sort of small book with it, or maybe a small section in a potentially larger book.
I tend to be somewhat of a seasonal scrapper. I usually only have the winter months to scrap, so I'm going to try to make the best use of my time while I have it. This 3 month challenge lines up perfectly for me! I haven't played along with the teams since last year at this time, but I'm sure I'll be able to figure out how everything works.
Just a reminder, you're all invited to join me for the virtual Pea crop every Saturday 6-10pm EST. Just sign into your Google account, and click the link in the post on the General Scrapping board. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for joining us msliz - I like the idea of changing gears and focusing more on you. I imagine I'll end up considering something similar once DD15 moves out. I did tell the older two that since they were living together - I would be making a joint album for them rather than separate ones. Whether I continue to do that after this year may depend on the quantity of photos headed my way. jediannie -welcome to the paper posse!

Waving hello from sunny cold Central Oregon. We have a smattering of snow on the ground and the temps are staying below freezing. I will have to be transporting water to my green house for my kale, peas, carrots, and lettuce. Plus the summer hanging basket that is now putting on petunia blooms!
I have been married to DH for 17 years, he has a DD who is 25 and is an ICU nurse in the Seattle area, and we have 2 boys adopted from Russia 13 years ago. Older DS22 is trying to get clean and back into Job Corps (he was released due to Covid 3/19) and a DS16 who is a sophomore in HS and struggles with FASD. Actually parenting him is the real struggle. We are primarlily dog owners here with 4 German Shepherds. We bred back in the day, and now have aging dogs 13, 11, 9, and 4. One indoor kitty.
I scrapbook primarily 12" x 12" with an occasional mini book here and there. I also make cards, and do a couple of design teams.
I's still not figured out how to get the badge to work for me! Ack!

msliz - my older ones are pretty good about getting me photos (and memorabila). There was a year some time back where DD21 flipped through the first couple of months of the family album and asked rather plaintively why she wasn't in it - I pointed out that I can only scrap the photos I have and if she didn't join in family events, hid from the camera, and didn't share pics with me...she wouldn't be in the album. Never had a problem since. angel97701 - welcome! Snow? How pretty! (says the gal with temps in the 70s) Everyone - please go set a couple of challenges in the challenge thread - think about what you want to use (is there a supply you're trying to bash?) or what you're planning to scrap (outdoor photos? holidays? school? pets?) or things you do/use on most of your layouts and make a challenge based on that for easy points.

Linda , you have temps in the 70's? We have lots of snow and the temp when the kids did their Polar Plunge this morning was 17 degrees. I don't know how they stood that. They had to go break a big spot in the ice on the pond. Sometimes I wish I lived where it is always warmer. I dislike the cold the older I get!

I dislike the cold the older I get! yeah - it was a beautiful April day...except it's January and I needed my a/c on. I'm not sure where my ideal climate is - I like temperate summers (unlike our hot, wet, and humid ones) but I don't want negative temperatures or too much snow in the winter.

Happy New Year all. I just celebrated my 40th in 2021, mom of two a DD14 and DS9. I embarked on the homeschool journey for DS this year so that keeps me busy. It is going better that we thought! We have a German Shephard/Aussie mix and two ferrets that joined us in 2021. There will be no more things that poop allowed in the house until something leaves/passes on LOL. I scrap 12X12 with a few smaller albums thrown in to break up the flow. I don't scrap chronologically and really don't like scrapping holidays (well mostly Christmas) but I will be working on that this month once the pictures come in. I am excited to be back to this as last year was a buying year and I hope this year can be a use/organize/buy year.

Happy Belated 40th crystalb -good luck with the homeschooling - I homeschooled my youngest last year for 8th but she's back in school this year. It was a really good experience for both of us despite Algebra, lol. I also struggle with scrapping Christmas...there's just SO many photos it's overwhelming. But I just got mine printed so...

Hi everyone, I’m Jamie from KY. We just had a tornado go by our house this afternoon! Thankfully all is well but some trees fell and blocked one way out of our neighborhood.
I have a 22 year old son who lives in Florida and a rotten shih tzu who is 15.
I’m a happy planner gal and will primarily be working on that.
My project today has been adding a bunch of sticker books I acquired during the holidays. First I record them in a hp mini book, then I add a jump ring, then file them in numerical order based on how many stickers each book has.
Next thing I need to do is sort my sticker cart!

AussieMeg thanks for the badge!! Good luck on PL for 2022. @**GypsyGirl** it sounds like you have a great plan to tackle your paper projects! nylene - it must be fun having such large family. jjpeapea - that's weird the cats aren't aware of each other. I'd think at the very least your cat would pick up the scent. But yahoo...better than having cats howling at each other through the door. msliz - I love that you're going to be "me centric" this year. angel97701 - the snow sounds pretty. crystalb - happy 40th! I'm glad homeschooling is going better than expected. My 2021 was a buying year too. waffles - I'm so sorry about the tornado but glad that all is well, considering. good luck organizing the stickers. With any luck, my day will be pretty free tomorrow so I can start sorting out pictures and such. I spent part of today getting my space back in order.

Hi everyone! So good to see such a large team and so many new and returning faces. I'm amped for the new year like always. Setting lofty, unrealistic goals lol.
I'm a primarily 12x12 scrapper.. I don't scrap chronologically and don't have chronological albums either. Each person has their own and I'm all over the place with what I'm scrapping.
I have 2 adult DS - 38 and 31 and one DGS 7. He's the subject of most my pages. I also have a senior cat Abby that I adopted just over a year ago that needs more pages. Unfortunately she doesn't like other cats, or I would several by now. And an ex-h but I don't scrap him much lol.
I keep toying with the idea of doing PL in the app going forward and continuing to work on my backlog of printed photos, but the jury is still out on that. There's just something about paper that is so satisfying!

Hello everyone. What a great team we have! I’m reading everyone’s posts and am so excited to start this quarter. Hello to all!
I’m a data analyst for a marketing team at a nearby state university and am currently still working from home. Doubt if we’ll ever go back to the office - we get so much more done at home. I am widowed and have three kids and six grandkids and with one more on the way. They are the main focus of my scrapping. I also have a teenaged puppy (ten months old on Tuesday) and she is the thorn in my backside right now. Pepper is a black lab and has so much energy… I thought she would settle down when I got her spayed…NOPE. She loves to dig holes in the yard and can chew up any toy given to her. I have my hands full with this monster!
I’m mostly a 12x12 scrapper, but last year started journalling/planner type memory keeping. I hope to keep doing both. I also make cards and find that fun with all the free videos on YouTube. I’m hoping to knock out a few layouts today while watching football. Go Cowboys!

Hey all! I'm excited to try this new format of quarterly vs monthly, I'm hoping I'll be a better point contributor in the past! I will be 51 in Feb and I've been married for 14 years. I have a 6.5 year old who keeps us very busy since she's an only child and has tons of energy (at least more than her 50+ year old doddering parents do LOL). I scrap all the things when I actually remember to print off photos. I used to be a primarily 12x12 scrapper but now I'm loving pocket pages & smaller albums & traveler's notebooks. I also try and do a local card swap with some friends every other month.

waffles - how scary - I'm glad you are ok. joyfulnana - I keep thinking about switching to digital but I like my paper (and I have so much of it, lol) @ndscrapaholic - Black labs seem to take a bit longer to outgrow that puppy stage than most. I would guess you have at least 14 months to go before she really starts to settle down. jediannie - welcome! a local card swap sounds fun. All my crafty friends live in my computer.

Hello everyone!
I'm married with one very spoiled cat. I mostly scrap 12x12, using a mix of pocket and full pages in both my yearly and travel albums. I've decided to take a different approach to a couple of projects that have long been stalled once I finish my DD album and I'm really excited to begin working on them.

Pardon my late appearance! We are away from home and so I'm not at my own computer, and I truly hate trying to keep up with the boards from my ipad or phone. I'll do my badge asap and proudly wear it! I've wanted to read through everyone else's intro before posting my own. I expected to have more of an empty nest at this point, but DS 22, DS 20, and DD 18 are all still at home. We also have 2 dogs and 4 cats, so I'm glad to see other animal lovers around me. I've been scrapping for 21 years now, and do NOT consider albums "complete" ever. I just scrap the photos I want to tell the story about, or which I find simply compelling as photos themselves. Last year, I pulled out 18 year old photos and scrapped those. It's usually 12x12, but I like to add pocket pages too, and use 6x8 albums for smaller projects like trips or December Daily. And recently I've really been enjoying card making - a new way to add supplies to my humongous stash, hooray! We just had a tornado go by our house this afternoon! oh my gosh, so glad it went BY and not through!!! So good to see such a large team and so many new and returning faces. You forgot to add..."and relax and let Linda be the leader" Thanks Linda for taking us on!
