Hey Sisters. The printable challenge list and gramma's points spreadsheet are up. Believe me, points are WAAAAY easier if you start keeping track now! I am spreadsheet challenged, so am keeping track of points by the day in the Rules thread. With all the points by the hour for crafting and for organizing, plus per $$ for spending and per day for NOT spending, I decided to try to keep on top of it early. I didn't calculate challenge points for the pages I finished, but left blanks for them. Now that the challenges are solidified I will try to get to that today. Oh, and jeremysgirl is going to need to know who put in challenges to see if we won the BONUS points. You can add me to that list, Fearless Leader!

I did my PL September 2021 pages this afternoon. Yay, me! Now I just have October and November left to do and with December daily already complete, I will be able to start on 2022.

I did my PL September 2021 pages this afternoon. Yay, me! Now I just have October and November left to do and with December daily already complete, I will be able to start on 2021. Awesome! I am so close to being done with my planner for 2021! I am in the middle of the last week of May and then I need to do the last week of 2021 and that’s it! I’ve been having so much fun in my organized scrap space and “rediscovered” so many supplies I have 😱 that I am about 95% sure I’m changing up next year’s projects and formats. I think I’m going to use the planner I have for 2022 for my goals book. And then I’m going to use the 6x8 pocket pages/album for a speciality album (TBD but I have an idea) and then I’m going to go big with weekly PL 9x12 pages! The one thing I missed on my planner was more room to spread out and create so I think I’ll have that with the bigger pages.

Wow! I must have either missed it paget or just didn't know you were hardcore considering project life! 9x12 is a true step up from a planner. You think you'll do weekly or monthly?

You didn’t miss it, I’ve just been quietly mulling it over. 😂 I found my PL 12x12 from 2014 that I started after years of a break from scrapping. I did weekly double page spreads and made it through week 31. Lol. Then I hadn’t done anything until my current planner. I’m going to do weekly because that’s what I like - but I’ll do smaller with only one side (not double spread) and go down to 9x12. It seems like a big leap but it’s not really. You haven’t seen my planner pages but they are already pretty packed - almost mini scrapbook pages already.

I think that is pretty reasonable switch then. I do 3-5 pages per month 12x12. So it's almost weekly. But not ina weekly format. I mix my photos all up for the month. I'd love to see your planner pages. paget Did you decide on the story kit?

jeremysgirl girl I haven’t decided about the story kit yet. I want to see what I think of her stamps when I get them today. I’ve never used any of Ali’s products before. I probably will end up ordering the 6 month sub though and see what I think. I have approximately 1 million PL cards from Becky Higgins era so I will be using a ton of those. Bummer they all have the rounded corners which I don’t care for but I’m just not going to worry about it. Lol. I also have some of Elle’s cards. I’m a very mix and match person so I don’t “need” a kit. If I got one I’d use little pieces here and there incorporated with other things. That’s my favorite part of scrapping - mixing patterns and styles together for my own look.

I'm so impressed with myself. I managed to create 4 6x8pages from my AE sorry kits today too. I'll hopefully get back in the craft room tomorrow. But my complete catalog of Jimi Hendrix bass tabs came and I might just need to spend tomorrow with my guitar.

jeremysgirl It sounds like a bunch of us are doing PL again this year! It’ll be nice to keep us all on track. I have yet to begin my 2022 album but I did get more of 2021 done and started my DD for 2021. So far I’m Through December 7th for DD. Nothing fancy like I’ve done in years past. Basically just a documenting but I’m trying to included more detailed journaling and I’m trying out typing my journaling vs hand writing. If I like it then I’ll continue that for 2022. I’m hoping typing will give me more space for story telling. My goal for 2022 is to have at least one detailed journaling and some more details in each weekly layout. I tend to focus first on the pictures and creative details and then years later forget those stories I think I’ll remember! I regret not writing down the cute things my kids said when they were younger so I’m working on doing that now more so with my four year old.

boymom5 I think it's awesome you are looking to include more journaling. I'm trying to do that too. I scrapbooked all through my kids lives but I've recently realized that my favorite stories to tell aren't in the books either. I'm trying to figure out how I can include them now that they are older. Have you done any journaling only layouts? Part of my problem is that during those early years, I didn't have a digital camera or cellphone. So those pictures are all film and there's not many of them. But I do want to work in these stories so they aren't lost.

If you don't have a copy of the pic you have already used in an earlier scrapbook, you can snap a pic of it on the page there, then scrap the photo again, but with the story in your Looking Back book.
And you can go back even further, to your childhood. gramma posted some really cool challenges for 28-4-28 last year with prompts for looking back at your experiences, adventures, and misadventures. I scrapped some pages with pic's I found on the internet cuz I had none of that topic from my own life.

I'm not sure how I want to do it. I will get to it eventually. Lol! For now the stories are pretty locked in my brain so at least there's that. I haven't forgotten them.

jeremysgirl, do you know how many of the Sisters have submitted challenges? I have the Posse's total, and want to hand out the bonus points for number of participants.

jeremysgirl, do you know how many of the Sisters have submitted challenges? Should I just go through them and look? What is the best way to do this, do you think? I'm not sure I can get everyone to respond. Is it too, by number of challenges? So like if you submitted 10, then we record 10? Or is it just by person? So you, since you submitted will count as 1? How does it work? I may have not read that clearly.

I think my problem is I love photography so I always had/have too many pictures. I’m learning to choose the best pictures for storytelling and then also journal the stories. It’s a much different approach than before for me! Definitely a challenge. Enjoy your trip and hopefully the sunshine!

So, I finished this card today. It's kind of like paint-by-numbers but it's jewels-by-numbers and man, is it time consuming! And if you ever do one, never and I mean NEVER, hit the little tray holding the jewels. You'll be finding them in your carpet for years!

Hope all the Sisters are having a great weekend, so far. I am not producing alot, but learning how to work with an interactive card die. It's not just that I need to figure out the die itself (which is pretty simple) but to plan both the inside and outside of the card together. I usually focus only on the front, so these are definitely more work. Have one card almost complete and now know what NOT to do for the next one. If you have some time to craft later, and you would like some company, there will be a 2Peas Virtual crop for Peas, their invited friends and families. Details are in the linked thread. Hope to drop in to chat for a bit, but will see how the rest of my day goes. Happy Saturday, Scissor Sisters!

My MIL took all the kids for the day, so I got a real break and got some scrapping done. I needed the break and the house to myself! I am all done with my 2021 PL!!!! I've never finished a year like this before. Now I do still have DD 2021 to finish, but I'm already on December 11th, so working along and that goes more quickly than a PL page. grammadee I hope you enjoy the card creating and the virtual crop!

cadoodlebug, I love that card. It looks gorgeous, and although it may be "like paint by number", I can see that it took alot of work. My dd's family member does beadwork, and the sound of beads crackling through the vacuum cleaner are a familiar sound to her. They never seem to stay where they are supposed to!
