iamkristinl16 make sure you take a look at the sketchy Saturday posts too if you'd like ideas on how to lay things out. The project of the week thread is a good one too. I can't wait to see what you create.

Good Sunday morning, Sisters! jeremysgirl and I are planning to join the virtual crop that starts in about an hour. The link to join will appear in the first post HERE. Would love to see your smiling faces! (or even furiously concentrating faces LOL). If I can get farm chores done in time I’ll try to join in. It’s cold out there but we have some bigger things to get done today. We’re inside warming up right now!

The Sunday crop was fun. I managed to get November done. Just need to get October and then I can close the book on 2021.
I really racked up the other crafts points this weekend as I finished my shawl yesterday. I'm so glad I got that project behind me. And I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Hey, Sisters. If you are around in the daytime tomorrow (Wednesday), come and join in on the virtual crop. Details are HERE and that is where you will find the link when the crop opens.

My daughters are coming back from Hawaii tonight. They will be over to our house Sunday and I’ll see if they can help me figure out how to post pictures from my phone with a hosting site. I actually did figure out how to post from Instagram but I don’t really want to do that because then my account can’t be private.

Question on the Project of the Week - do they have to be completed on the week posted? Or can you go back and catch up on them if you missed it.

I actually did figure out how to post from Instagram but I don’t really want to do that because then my account can’t be private. If you want you can always set up another Instagram account, I know several peas do just that. And then you will be able to use the PL Pea hashtag. But it's totally up to you.

They probably will have a hundred ways you can post pic's. I use the Tapatalk app to post pic's directly from my iphone. Easy enough to use, but I haven't figured out how to adjust my preferences. It bookmarks the thread I post my pic's in and then sends me emails every time someone else posts in that thread afterwards.

Hi, Sisters! We are closing in on the end of our first month! Where did that time go? How are we doing? How's our crafting going? I know I keep saying it, but I'm adding up my points today, I swear!

Doing some calculating and adding here, today, too. So much easier when i remembered to stay on top of it during the month! Have my last few LO's still to add up and add in.
Anyone going to get the bonus this month for 30 days being frozen? I won't get to 30 days until some time in February, but they are adding up.

I need to take a look at the no spend challenge. No way I'm going to get any bonus. I've easily spent $150 this month.

Anyone going to get the bonus this month for 30 days being frozen? Yes! I could probably go for months but will eventually run out of adhesive. Luckily I had 3 CM tape runner refills from my crop in October. Plus my CM friend gave me one as a gift when I talked 2 friends into buying the new CM trimmer which is the best thing I've ever owned.

I need to take a look at the no spend challenge. No way I'm going to get any bonus. I've easily spent $150 this month. But to get the bonus all you need to do is not spend for 30 days in a row. You can count 10 points per day for every day you don't spend money on craft supplies. Then on a day you spend, you count the $$. I know I bought stuff January 4th, and my order for the Glimmer system was right around then. But I have a run of frozen days since I signed up for the 50 or Frozen challenge on the GS board. When I got to 30 in a row, I can claim DOUBLE my frozen points, so I can claim an additional 300 points. Good thing these points carry over to February and March!
I know we are on teams to encourage each other to create, but with the frozen challenge, a Sister could sit out all quarter, not make anything, not buys anything and still earn a passle of points: 90 spend free days would be 900. Because there are three 30-day stints there, those points can be doubled, so 1800 points

What a great point grammadee! Good reminder to our team members about adding up the no spend points. I'm a kit subscriber so I know I'll never get a 30 day run with bonus points. But I can add up the rest. I went to Michaels last night to get another rolling cart. I find them so handy for my project life set up. They had them for $30 plus a bunch of different colors. I also ordered some of those heavy cardboard organizers from scrapbook.com for my PL cards and two fit in one shelf in my rolling cart. Today I'm going to do some organizing.

Hi everyone! I did end up going to my friends house tonight. We chatted a lot so I only got three two page spreads done but that’s ok. I will try to share pics tomorrow or Monday. My son has a basketball tournament tomorrow so I’m not sure how much time I will have.
I haven’t spent any money on supplies this kit h. Yay! I am almost out of adhesive, though. I need to decide if I want to get an ATG or get more of what I have.

I’m actually going to get some points this time! I joined a couple of the crops, spent some money (no way am I going 30 days without spending, but I definitely shopped less this month), finished a mini book from July, and finished a 12x12 layout (first one in MONTHS). I’m jotting down what I’m doing on a post it by my craft desk. That way, it should be easy to add everything up at the end of the quarter.
Not sure how tomorrow is February but I hope I can keep some momentum going!

I am bad about chatting, sorry ladies! I made 4 layouts and 17 cards for 250 points this month. I also made 9 videos on my YouTube channel! Also doing the no spend challenge, but hoping to reach my 50 next month or so.

I have a question about the no-spend challenge: does $ spent in getting pictures printed count? I think that's the only thing I've spent money on in January, craft-wise.

Good thing you made me go back and check. It is FIVE POINTS PER DAY, not ten, unless you can reach a span of 30 days (when it doubles). I need to go back and change my calculations for January. Or reach 30 and just keep it the same. Hmmm... Haven't spent anything since January 4th, so that would be easier.
And it says "scrappy supplies", so I don't count money spent on printing photos, either as dollars spent or on frozen days.

Hi, thanks for the welcome! I mostly scrap 12x12, and make some cards. I have done some small albums and in 2020 since a lot was happening I did a Fall Daily, for September-November. That was a lot of work-props to the DD folks! I am trying to be chilly, not frozen, but was working on the 50 pages/no spend challenge and ended up shopping. So I am restarting that. Quick question, jeremysgirl are we just totaling up points at the end, and tracking them personally? The last time I was on a team (seems like forever ago) we tracked them every few days in the thread, but I didn't see any points tracking in this thread. TIA!

Thanks for checking my points question, grammadee. Based on that, I think I'm eligible to get my 30 days of spend-free points, yay! (Happy for my large stash and relatively little time in the past few years for scrapping.) Welcome, @sunnycamom and kmage! I'm also a newbie to challenge teams this quarter -- grammadee and jeremysgirl (along with others) do a great job helping the Scissor Sisters stay motivated and organized!

There is a stickied thread on the challenge board. Top one. Reserve your spot and tally your points there. You can tally as you go if you'd like.

I wanted to make sure everyone knows that time spent working on your taxes in February gets points! When I sit down to work on taxes, I start the stopwatch on my phone and pause it when I get up from my desk. Simple way to keep track of the time spent. kmage, there is a thread where everyone saved a *spot* to point their points. ETA: I see jeremysgirl beat me to it.

I just posted my January total points of 837. I think I could have totaled more points but I'm finally get the hang of the challenges and will do better keeping track in February.

Had a crazy day of frantic scrapping today. Hadn't planned it that way, but had to switch a couple of appointments b/c of the snow storm the day before, and decided to use today like an old fashioned Snow Day. Still need to calculate points for the last few LO's, but I have listed all of them in "my spot", so I have a place to pop in the numbers when I have them. And I kept track of my hours and no spend days. The only thing I need to go back and do is check which December photos match sleepingbooty's photo prompts. Now that I am finsihed my Christmas 2021 album, I am looking forward to scrapping other themes, using other products. Bring on those 28-4-28 challenges!

Well, I just racked up some organizing points! My desks are cleaned, some stuff organized and things I can do another time when I get the desire to! I also got the first 4-28-4 challenge done and am planning the second. I wish I could take a snow day...without the snow, but we spent our day doing a major clean. And thankfully there wasn't snow outside, just freezing temps! Welcome to kmage and @sunnycamom

How are you all doing? What have you been crafting? What's next on your agenda? Yesterday I was busy with errands most of the day. Calculated points for some of my pages from the past week. Today I am sorting and stowing away my Christmas crafty supplies, cleaning in here. And tomorrow I have to do a general house clean. Not sure when I will get scrapping again. Sometime next week, I hope. And not sure what I will be scrapping. I have photos from summer and autumn to catch up on, including some cute pic's of a couple of the boys from a fall hike. Maybe those will work with something in the mountain of supplies from the fall SCT event. Haven't looked at that stuff for awhile, so will need to go through it. And keeping an eye on the 28-4-28 challenges. Lots of inspiration there. But first, sorting and stowing and cleaning...
