Don't you love how when the right posits a theory they bring all the video, data, examples, etc. to bolster their position? I don’t need to bolster my position. Everyone watched the speech. You know exactly what I’m talking about. There is no theory. Nothing I said was incorrect. His answers to the questions the last 40 minutes of his speech were extremely jumbled. He tried. He just wasn’t successful.

I find it fascinating that this board thinks this was a coherent speech. There were several things he said that were completely non factual. After 30,000 Trump lies, now you’re worried about several non factual things?

He isn't President Obama in terms of speaking, that's for sure. Yes he rambled a bit. But in the end he makes sense, and he doesn't inflate his speech with lies.

Guess you didn't listen too well. He did misspeak, and IMMEDIATELY Corrected himself!! Bet you never do either!! I didn’t hear him correcting himself. I heard him deflecting and answering questions that weren’t even asked of him. And now you’re worried about deflecting, too? I haven’t seen the speech but I can guarantee President Biden never insulted the reporters. When trump didn’t like a question, he just insulted the reporter and shouted Fake News! Somehow that behavior was OK with you, but now you’re all up in arms when President Biden deflects?

He is not a great speaker and does have a long history of gaffs, in my opinion. I absolutely feel no need to deny that or side step that. I can, however, listen to President Biden speak and understand him and his intent. I could not do that with former President Trump at all. I tried for 4 years and just could not listen to and/or understand him. I always had to revert to the transcribed version of his speeches…and even had problems with those. At least now I feel like I am getting some information… where a year ago I was getting nothing but fuzzy incoherent rambling and a lot talking points. I will admit to hoping we can get back to having a well spoken President where speeches contain the information we want and is presented in an easy to understand and engaging manner. No matter, even with all of this I am 100% happier with this administration than I was the last and trust them so much more. 🤷♀️ I dont either. We know this. I am however, revolted by this vile specimen of humanity seizing on it, after silently co-signing for 4 years, the relentless daily insanity of the prior administration. Covfefe.

You can try to dismiss Trump all you want, but regrettably, he is still head of the Republican party. His speeches at his rallies lately have been full of lies and incoherent ramblings. Until you at least recognize some of Trump’s faults, your posts are disingenuous at best.

It is about Trump though. You are comparing him to Trump. So it's also about Trump and what we had to listen too and know that what he was saying was total lies for 4 yrs. But you were ok with that? hmmmmm....

Yes, we are all suffering from collective trauma after four years of trump. It will take longer than a few months for us to recover from that.

The transcript isn't up on whitehouse.gov just yet, but having read other recent speeches, he sounds like an intelligent, well-spoken man with a stutter. And yes, the official transcripts include stutters and misspoken words.

Biden could bark like a dog and piss on the podium, and I'm like "thank god it's not trump". Yes! Compared to the defeated former guy, anything is an improvement. But I do believe that our President is a decent and sincere human being who actually cares about the citizens of the USA, and is doing all he can to make life better for all of us.

I heard him deflecting and answering questions that weren’t even asked of him. Funny, I heard the correction. Not sure why you didn’t. Biden has a habit of going off on tangents, and he starts sentences that he doesn’t finish. He’s long been known for making gaffes, but not being deliberately misleading. His stutter does impact his speaking as I’m sure there are times he starts over in order to avoid using a word that might be problematic. However, I don’t hear him denigrating or insulting the reporters asking the questions, and he doesn’t spout off lie after lie, like someone else we’ve listened to far too much.

He is promoting policies that I believe in and has hired capable people to work on that agenda. He's not a great public speaker, but given the choice between the two candidates in the last election, the majority of Americans chose him.
I am an avid follower of politics, but I don't listen to speeches. I prefer to read transcripts. If someone's way of speaking is intolerable to you, but you really want to know what they said, you might want to consider that.

He is so incoherent that it’s making me squirm!! The US spent 1 trillion$ a week in Afghanistan for the last 20 years? ? OMG!! This is so hard to hear. He needs to be done with this speech. NOW! The longer he talks the less sense he makes. This is is referring to the second part of your quote, but I quoted it all. I switched the TV on and he was saying something that sounded to me like, "I’m going to wrap it up now," so I went and watched a DVR recording of “This Is Us," stopped it when I made dinner and fed all animals, finished it, and when I switched back to CNN he was still talking! EDIT: I have very different political leanings than you apparently do—my point is that it was long AF.

Another noticeable difference? He acknowledged a mistake, that his administration could have done better. www.npr.org/2022/01/19/1073825012/biden-press-conference-covid-19-aid-infrastructureHe acknowledged that his administration could have been quicker to boost testing for the virus. "Should we have done more testing earlier? Yes. But we're doing more now," he said. He acknowledged mistakes His speech was mostly factual, except for perhaps a couple of things He answered questions without insulting the reporters The bar has been set so low, but all of those seem like a win.

Or insults. I heard that Trump went on Mark Levin’s show to bitch that the press is nicer to Biden than it was to him. 😆😆😆 That’s not untrue. Wouldn’t surprise me, based on how nasty he was to the press. I think that it’s amusing that he treated them horribly and couldn’t understand why they were so mean. They write mean articles about everyone-Biden gets plenty of grim headlines-but if you berate and insult them, you shouldn’t be surprised if they don’t give you the benefit of the doubt,

But, I don’t need to see it to know with certainty that Biden never insulted the reporters. Some reporters like Yamiche Alcindor of PBS have talked about what a nightmare it was to cover the White House during Trump’s administration. He constantly insulted reporters and frequently shouted fake News! If Trump did receive less favorable treatment, it’s not surprising. Trump seems to have missed the basic kindergarten lesson to treat others the way you want to be treated.

Acknowledge some of Trump’s 30,000 lies and maybe we can have a discussion about Biden not having his facts in order. It’s difficult to have a discussion when you’re not starting with the same set of facts. So far, you have yet to acknowledge any of Trump’s lies. Perhaps you have your own set of “alternative facts”

I can't get over the fact that someone claims to have invested two hours of their life listening to someone who they think has dementia and is incoherent. And, someone they don't agree with on anything anyway. Wouldn't it be a lot more efficient to listen to 5 minutes of Fox with carefully edited fragments that make Biden sound like an idiot? Oh, wait...
