Yawn….biden and his party….high gas prices, out of control grocery prices, millions of illegals, large numbers of them bringing Covid over the borders. A vice prez who has done NOTHING, covid crisis and one hand not knowing what the other is doing in that regard. Now we are just waiting for Russia to step on over here and try a takeover. Out of control crime in mostly democratic run cities. Murders in Chicago alone the worst in 30 years. I could go on and on but I’m watching Harry Potter. Oh and one more thing, I don’t know one conservative who has wished death on anyone but I have seen dozens on this board alone wishing death or laughing and cheering anyone who has covid or has died and/or is against the vax mandate. THAT is the epitome of a brainwashed cult member. Chicago to the tune of On crime, Chicago doesn't Crack the top 10. Looking it up, I was genuinely surprised to see so many predominantly GOP enclaves make the list. I'm not sure how Chicago continues to be the proverbial whipping boy. Illegal immigrants aren't responsible for any of our covid waves. The numbers don't bear out there either. Perhaps common sense safety measures might bring covid under control. Presidents aren't the gatekeepers on gas or groceries, but I'd love to see oil and grocery execs stop making record profits on our backs while they enjoy massive bonuses. If only they hadn't continued to be emboldened by permanent tax cuts they tucked into their pockets rather than giving the common citizen a break. Enjoy Harry Potter. I loved the reunion show. I thought we were addressing the finer points your belief that Biden had decimated the country. I do agree that elected officials may need some guard rails on stocks. Pelosi is pretty low on the list in that regard. Sadly pharmaceutical companies have a cash cow largely enabled by the US for profit healthcare system. Both parties bear culpability. I fear that in the not so distant future, covid vaccine and treatment costs may go the way of insulin or epipen costs. There's a bill for that, so I encourage you to contact your elected officials. |

Pfizer CEO’s are not “pocketing” billions as you claim (everyone knows pocketing is a derogatory term). The company has billions in sales, not just from the US. But I’m sure you’re too lazy to check facts—like they’ve spent over $10 billion this last year for R&D on vaccines. This is a result pent up demand, problems with the supply chain and businesses charging higher prices. The fact is the Chairman of the Fed has more tools at his disposal to flight inflation then any President of the United States has. Look it up. From what I understand the migrants are tested for COVID and vaccinated. Unfortunately a judge ruled that the Biden Administration must keep those waiting for an asylum hearing in Mexico so many aren’t even coming into the United States. The real spreader of COVID are those who are unvaccinated, don’t wear masks, or practice any type of social distancing when necessary that live in this country. Many, if not all are Republicans. Just exactly what do you suggest VP Harris do? Tackle all the unvaccinated, hog tie them and then vaccinated them? You do understand that the data on the virus is constantly changing don’t you? Unfortunately that elusive crystal ball was not around to let the medical types know just exactly how the virus was going to react in all cases. And it started when the other guy was president. Part of the problem is not enough police. Some in cities that did move some of a police department’s funding to other programs and in cities that left the police budget alone or increased it. Apparently there is just a shortage of folks who want to work in law enforcement. Some cities have big signing bonuses to entice people to come work for their town in law enforcement. But none of this has to do with President Biden’s policies. As to your rant. I hate deliberate stupidity. Anyone who can get vaccinated and doesn’t are being deliberately stupid. And here is the problem I have with the deliberately stupid who don’t get vaccinated. The current research I read has shown that the host body of choice for the virus to mutate into a new variant is an unvaccinated one. Which means if you are vaccinated and catch COVID that chances are real good a new variant will not form in your body. Every time there is a new variant there is a rush to find out if the current vaccines offer protection against the new variant. And every time there is a new variant it delays getting the virus under control and delays people going back to a somewhat normal life like before COVID. I understand that work needs to be done to get vaccines to all the countries. But in this country that is not a problem as there is plenty of vaccines available. So there is absolutely no excuse for those unvaccinated that can be vaccinated not to get vaccinated. Do I wish these unvaccinated people dead or get sick with COVID? No but then karma can be a real bitch. And let’s don’t forget the vast majority of those who get COVID and end up in the hospital are the unvaccinated ones. Which is putting a real strain on health care workers to the point where folks with other types of medical needs can’t always get the medical help they need or have to spend hours in the ER before getting a bed. Got anything else? |
