Where are the brilliant ideas that the right has, that don’t involve taking away rights from others? Seems that racism and discrimination is the basis of their platform based on what I see. The only “brilliant idea” coming from the right is that we should pretend racism is a thing of the past, so we don’t need to inconvenience ourselves to lift a finger to fight it today. And that we don’t hurt the feelings of the tender hearted, pseudo-Christian snowflake white people. |

Not only that, but Republicans think we should teach about civil rights and slavery in a way that doesn't make white children feel guilty. Children of color face discrimination every day. Republicans don't have any plans to fight that, but they have lots of plans to protect white children from feeling guilty or uncomfortable. |

I'm really surprised in 7 pages that the conservatives haven't brought up Biden's comments on Ukraine. A statement with perhaps a legitimate reason to criticize. Maybe they agree with Tucker Carlson that we should side with Russia?

They could have shown the world all their magnificent ideas and Trump could have taken the credit for signing them into law. He mis-spoke and tried to correct it. Yes, his statement was awkward and certainly could have been phrased better. The point he was trying to make was that poor children of all races deserve a chance. “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
he immediately tried to clarify with, “Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids. No, I really mean it. But think how we think about it. We think how we’re going to dumb it down. I think Biden is the product of a racist era, and I think he's trying not to be one, but he's a bit of a buffoon (remember all the Obama era Joe memes?) who tries to be "hip" and instead ends up misspeaking a lot. It's easy to be offended at many of his stupid comments. I'm not sure I think they're coming from a place of actual ill will.
That's different than inciting actual racists to misbehave, those "very good people on both sides".
This whole thread is just more of the usual back and forth, though, so I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to type anything out.

Looking it up, I was genuinely surprised to see so many predominantly GOP enclaves make the list. I'm not sure how Chicago continues to be the proverbial whipping boy. Illegal immigrants aren't responsible for any of our covid waves. The numbers don't bear out there either. Perhaps common sense safety measures might bring covid under control. Presidents aren't the gatekeepers on gas or groceries, but I'd love to see oil and grocery execs stop making record profits on our backs while they enjoy massive bonuses.
