MARIBETHR, your Ukraine pages are gorgeous. And so sad. Love what you did with those blue & yellow papers and how you tucked the large photo under the sunflowers.

MARIBETHR, what a beautiful job you have done of documenting an ugly war. I love all the sunflowers and yellows and blues you have used. Lovely pages. It makes me so sad for the citizens who are experiencing all this trauma, and are being displaced with just the clothes on their backs. Heart-breaking. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Happy Monday! Hope you all have a good week! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my dh's birthday. We got to do some of his favorite things and eat some of his favorite foods. He had a great time and I had a great time watching him beam with joy. nylene- Not sure what I will do with these embroideries but they were sure fun to create. The dark one is a dark green and it had a white pattern on top so it was easy to see where to put the stitches. justjac- Knitting classes sounds fun, too. I took several with Michael's virtual classes. I have never tried it but I did enjoy watching it. joyfulnana- I hear ya on puzzles taking up space. It is a challenge but I have made it work. Embroidery is fun and a mind numbing activity while you are watching tv or whatever.

Happy Monday, Pokeys. How is your week shaping up? Good to see you drop in, kellyr21. Love seeing your projects. MARIBETHR and justjac are you playing along with Calvinball at all? I've been busy wrapping up 28-4-28, and have not even wandered over there. kitbop I know this has been a busy month for you. Hoping the next few days ease off the pressure a bit. Too funny about listening to the other patient vent about your dad. Have you finished the album for your coworker? It was good to see some of your pages, joyfulnana. I still need to do a page about Charlie. She is growing like a weed, but still does some impressive calisthenics when she gets playful. Dd's dogs didn't seem to phase her: she just stared at them through the patio door, almost daring them to come out on the deck. Linda, did they ever find the culprit who phoned in the bomb threat at your dd's school? These are such scary times. Had a busy weekend with dd and her family here. They helped with a few projects we needed to do. And dgs talked us into several card and board games. Then Saturday evening dh & I had tickets to a community club supper. They had a dj playing all evening, and it was fun to see all the young kids out on the dance floor, playing and dancing. Today I finished a LO I had had on the counter since Saturday. Decided to use the single page from last week for the last page of my winter album and go for a two-pager with the other photos. Then I did a bit of cleaning in here, putting scrappy stuff away. And spent a little time playing with my Spellbinders Glimmer Foil system. Have some parts now for some birthday cards when I am ready to put some together. The sign up thread has been posted for Quarter two teams. Hope to see everyone signing up.

grammadee - I haven't heard any updates and I've been keeping an eye out. D15 is on spring break this week. I'm working on identifying and labelling more of mum's photos - an endless task. Need to do some yardwork and planting also - we bought a new lawn mower tonight as ours has had more repairs than mowing the last couple of years...it's probably 20+ years old - we've had it since before DD15 was born and it was a handmedown from MIL at the time. No scrappy time here

Kelly, your cards are so pretty. I love orange and pink together. I left you love in the gallery. How are your plans for Ron's event? It's coming up soon, isn't it? Have you had Spring-like weather down there? Today was just a light jacket day, but once the wind comes up it's back to winter coat weather. It's nice to feel that Spring will really come eventually as I look out and see sunshine and blue skies.
I finished the last of the 28-4-28 challenges today. I had no plans to finish them, but when I realized I was only short a few, I decided to see if I could finish. I still have a big stack of photos I need to scrap, so I might as well use some of the challenges on them.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

The dishwasher guy is coming today!!! He called last night to say the parts were in and wondering if he could come here mid day today. Exciting times... While I wait for him I am playing with my new Cocoa Vanilla No Limits. Have the main elements glued down on one LO and moving bits & pieces around. Have ideas for the second LO with photos from the same day, but need to figure out if the actual LO will work the way I envision it. Sometimes--actually often --size and space plays tricks on me in my imagination... Congrats, nylene, on finishing the 28-4-28 challenges! I have loved seeing all your lovely pages. kellyr21, I left love for your pretty cards in the Gallery. The Gallery is hopping while people are posting all their Quarter One creations. Linda I do not envy you going through all those photos and trying to get them identified and sorted. In some ways it can lead to happy memories and interesting discoveries, but that type of methodical work is not my cup of tea.

kellyr21 - those cards are super - I love the orange and pink together but never think to use that combination grammadee - yay for repairs on the dishwasher! Have fun with the new collection! My sister keeps thanking me for taking on this task and the kids keep encouraging me to keep going - please don't leave these for us, lol

Happy Thursday! Waving hi! Glad you all liked the cards. That was a cute card kit and I hope to make the rest. nylene, the weather has been great, in the 80s and sunny! It feels like Summer around here. 😀 Yes, my dh's event is later next month, so he is a busy bee these days. I don't have much to do now for the event so I am a big cheerleader as he puts in time getting it done.

Good Friday morning, Pokeys. What are your weekend &/or scrappy plans? Today I completed a LO I had started yesterday. I think it is the last for this quarter. I need to do some cleaning/putting away in here. And calculate the points I didn't add up for early February. Might join in to the Saturday virtual crop just to chat. Sunday I am driving to dd's, staying the night, and bringing dgs back to the farm for his spring break. His parents will be joining us mid week. Just in time for having a houseful again, my dishwasher has been repaired, and you can barely hear it working even when standing right next to it. Yay! The repair guy was great. Charged a reasonable flat rate, was polite and on time, wore a mask when near one of us, and made sure everything was completed and working before he left.
Not summery here yet, kellyr21, but definitely spring. Temps have been above freezing overnight for several nights, and the snow is quickly shrinking. Can't believe the change in the past WEEK!

Beautiful cards kellyr21. I never think of using orange and pink together, but your cards remind me I should. nylene congratulations on finishing 28-4-28! I just have the learning page to do which I hope to finish tonight. grammadee I'm so glad you got your dishwasher fixed. I left some love on your latest layouts in the gallery. I've been a bit hit or miss commenting this quarter. This weekend I am doing a little scrapping tonight with another online group. Then Saturday I'm knitting with my sister for a couple hours on Zoom. If there's a Sunday crop I might pop in. Unfortunately, our hospital is back at level 2 for covid so my mil is only allowed one designated visitor which is my fil. Since DH isn't going to see her every afternoon, he is returning to work full time next week. He's both happy to get back to it, but a bit worried about his mom. Well, we're all worried about her. She is pretty much the same: nauseous and unable to get out of bed herself, a little confused. It's tough when things aren't getting better, but at least they're not getting worse.

Hello all! Good luck to your DH as he prepares for his event kellyr21Yay for a working dishwasher (and what sounds like an awesome repairman) @grammdee. Love your layouts - they are all colourful and awesome but family day is especially eye catching with the colour blending in a circle - love it. justjac - ((((Hugs))) and prayers for all of you I am wore out today. Yesterday we all went to the zoo - it's about 2 hrs away and we got there shortly after opening and left shortly before closing (open 9-5)...so much walking, so many photos (three cameras plus three phone cameras between us - I know I took 200 pictures just on the camera) - so plenty of weeding out and deciding to do on those. I was ready for a nap afterwards but DH wanted to take advantage of being in the city so we had dinner and hit various stores including Lego before finally getting home around 10. I need to do yard work today and bake bread. Today or tomorrow I also need to make muffins to freeze for breakfasts.

grammadee , your layouts are so beautiful. I am behind on commenting, but will catch them in the gallery. Glad your dishwasher is working so you are no longer the dish washer! Linda , that zoo trip sounds awesome, but I would have worn out much sooner than 5. DH and I went over to help clean the church this morning and I only worked a little over an hour and came home exhausted. My weekly grocery trip is finished, the laundry is finished and I don't plan to do much cleaning in my house, so I hope to hop on the crop this afternoon. justjac , did you get your learning page finished? I need to go check the gallery and the last page of the sharing. I'm sorry about your MIL only having one visitor again. Have your numbers gone up? Ours are down, but with the outbreaks in Europe and so many Ukrainian refugees going all over the world, I hope we don't have another outbreak. kellyr21 , I always love to see your happy face popping up. Glad Ron's event is coming along well. Today it feels like early summer here, but the temps are supposed to drop back down in the middle of the week. We are trying to get a few outside things done while it's warm. Hugs to you and Ron. MARIBETHR , your Ukrainian pages are amazing. I'm glad you have scrapped this time in history. I have watched all those refugees streaming out to be taken in by kindly people in neighboring countries. I wonder if I would be that compassionate to open my home to 2-3 families. I would hope I would, but I've never been tested that way. I am so impressed by the way Poland has opened every door to them and helped in so many ways. I hope we would be that helpful. I think I am about to the end of scrapping for First Quarter. I have 2 pages I am just finishing and then I think I will spend time cleaning up the mess I have made in my scraproom the last 3 months.

nylene - oh trust me I was done long before 5...but DD15 has been wanting to go back to the zoo for several years now and something has always cropped up and prevented it so I took a few breaks while they toured various reptile houses....I'm not scared of snakes but they really aren't my favourites to see at the zoo - and tried hard not to let on I was worn out planted some flower seeds today - some zinnias and some mixed butterfly/hummingbird attractors. DD did the first mow of the season. Not sure I have any more layouts in me this month - I have papers on my desk for some but...

Thank you Nylene. I think this is most probably the most significant event in my lifetime. I too am impressed by all the compassion that the European countries are affording the refugees. I certainly hope that US dose the same as well.

I am busy trying to add up my points for the first quarter's challenges. I never seem to learn to add them up as I go. nylene here is my learning page. I documented my Day in the Life pictures in a double page layout. I've also been doing my daily pages at work on days when I don't have in person students. I actually had a real live student yesterday. I'm hoping she comes again today, but she's already 15 minutes late. Last one. All of these are also in the sharing thread and some are in the 28-4-28 threads so you might have seen them already. My bil has taken over cooking three days a week (he's not working right now) so that takes some of the pressure off us. However, DH just found out that they are going to have to work seven days a week for a couple months due to some big thing breaking down. He will get the occasional day off, but he is going to be super busy. My book club meets tomorrow. We read a non-fiction book called Fearless. It wasn't bad, but just not my cup of tea. Have a good day everyone.

justjac, great pages. I can't wait to see what you finish with your knitting. I don't know how you keep up with all you do. I hope you get a few more students to actually arrive before the end of the year. MARIBETHR, nice to see you popping in. I saw that you signed up for next quarter. Hurrah I haven't been feeling well for the last few days. I hate it when my innards decide to act up. Today is so much better, so I feel like I am on the mend.

MARIBETHR, nice to see you popping in. I saw that you signed up for next quarter. Hurrah Yes, I hope I can be more productive and take part in more of the challenges this next quarter. It takes so long to tear down and put away holiday home, and then put everything back in the house that we removed to put up holiday home, as well as January and February are my busiest months at work dealing with all the CPA questions for end of year on the 7 companies I have to manage it becomes overwhelming. Oh retirement where are you? ?? Shame on me I should have made better financial decisions when I was younger. Hugs.

Good Morning how is this month already over? I've been in lurking mode the past week or so. Everything seems so busy and the days are just getting away from me. I've also had Rudy a little more than usual so I'm sure that's part of it lol.
I finally got my mammo done last week (all clear) and my eyes checked, it's been years and it's way past time for new glasses. Throw work and Rudy in and a cold on top of that and ugh. I haven't tested yet, but Cody and Rudy have tested for their symptoms a couple times and have been negative. I'll need to test in the morning since I'm going up to see mom and help with some of her banking. So fingers crossed this is just a cold - I think it is.
So many lovely projects just here in this thread! I'll be heading to the gallery later. I've got to get points tallied. I did an OK job of trying to keep track as I went along, but some points probably slipped through the cracks.
Have great day!
