starting off the quarter with a layout for the older kids' scrapbook - I think the PP is from HL, circles and snowflakes are punches, gems are from a HL kit. And one for our family album - EP PP (O Holy Night collection), snowflakes are punches and another one for the older kids' book - super simple - I cut down a couple of journalling cards for the embellishments.

linda I like that snowflake pattern paper and the scattered snowflake punches. I also love how you cut apart a journaling card for an embellishment. I was just looking for some embellishments and not finding what I want but I do have tons of cards I could make use of in this way- thanks for the idea! kmage I really like that pattern paper. I love both pink (which seems to be an unpopular opinion lol) and yellow- I need to do them together because I love how happy it is!

paget, I don't normally love pink either, but I have had this paper forever, and I thought well, I will throw it in the kit for April, seems like if I can't use it for scrapping photos of my little nieces, it will never get used!

So much creativity already! Linda, Glad to see you got to use some snowflake papers! Those formal gowns are such a gorgeous blue, and you matched them perfectly. Cool idea to cut a PL card into a shape to shake up the vertical/horizontal lines in the Adventures page. Such a sweet moment to scrap, kmage. Pink is perfect for little girls and a puppy! Are those swirls stenciled on? Or are they an overlay?

I like your "busy" page, Linda . The darker shades on the pp make it take a back seat to the photo, and the gardening stickers are perfect. Great title. Wish spring was a little more in the air, here... Here is my first LO of the quarter. I wanted to make a sample for the Donna challenge, and had some pretty new papers and die set laid out on my counter, but somehow my mind refused to give me any ideas what to DO with them. So I went back to basics: grabbed the first set of photos I saw, and these simple pages kinda scrapped themselves. School pix 21-22 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The only time I "wasted" was searching for a sheet of pp I KNOW I own with paper airplanes on it. No significance to these boys or anything, but I had seen a cute page on Pinterest awhile ago and had stored it in my brain. Gave up the search and decided to fold a couple of my own planes from pp scraps LOL.
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). Two photos for the Donna challenge (2). P-4 alphas (5), p-7 four companies (4), CM-6 no pink (1), T-10 torn edges (2), W/T-1 J(1), W/T-3 coloured title (2), Th-13 school (1), N/S-1 two patterns (2). Total: 24. After counting, decided to take Easy Peasy on this one: 2 pages @20 points each + creating & sharing = 44.

Are those swirls stenciled on? Or are they an overlay? I stenciled them on using Versafine Clair Morning Mist. Shimelle puts a big inky section on her LO in the middle where she just smooshes it on, but I am not quite there...gotta have the stencil.

Linda , you're knocking it out of the park already! I love how you can scrap so quickly! grammadee , that school layout looks so bright and cheery. To my eye, the pencils at the top and bottom really set it off. Love the torn edges. kmage, I like how you stenciled on your layout. I'm trying that in my journal. I'm doing a daily journal again. I kinda like that type of documenting my days. Here's my first three pages and also a layout.

Linda, I love that your family decorates for and celebrates so many holidays. Your Valentines pages are sweet. And it's good to see your kitties on pages. That paw print cut file is really cool. So much fun to have a play date with that little munchkin, MDscrapaholic! The look on her face as she nuzzles with the dog is adorable! I can almost hear the giggles. I think the puppy is in love, too. I love your journaling style, so open and interesting to look at, even from a distance.

My first of the month. Started in February actually, but put away and then of course I completely forgot what the plan was with it but I like this new revamped plan anyways! layout school house blues by kirstendrew, on Flickr Linda - love the clusters on "spring is in the air". Like the actual collection of garden implements I leave around when I'm in the garden. That's still over a month away for me tho. MDscrapaholic - I LOVE the motion in your layout that you created by the placement of the photos and the direction of brush strokes in the pp. Your journal style is amazing, clear and airy but connecting elements. grammadee - perfect! I love the tumbling alphabet names, the folded paper planes, great pps. kmage - love the mixed media and tumbling elements through the photos, the layers and tucked in embellies, and the shadowed bulldogs!

Linda , your Belated Merry Christmas has such beautiful snowy paper. I love your snowflakes added to the journaling and the one mounted on the circle. The papers make it look cold and snowy.~Your paper perfectly matches the colors chosen for the Formal. The star paper background and the big banner set off the photos so nicely. ~ I love the shape of your title on Adventures in Learning page. Is that a punch you used on the PL card? I’d love to have a punch that shape. I always love seeing photos of people working with wood!~Your spring page isn’t busy, it is a happy, pretty welcome to Spring. I chuckled at the onions growing in compost. Ours just grows mushrooms!~ Did you make your cute little Valentine gnomes. They are adorable. Love the photos of your decor! You inspire me to take more “everyday life” photos!~ I love the sweet journaling on your Love page. Beautiful page.~ Those kitty paw prints from corner to corner are amazing. Such a great design. What a delightful page.~ I love the design on the cat page with you in the photo. Another one I sketched to remember. I struggle with 3 photo pages on 8.4x11. This is great! kmage , kitbop and grammadee , I left love in the gallery. MDscrapaholic , your daily journaling is so pretty as well as informative. It’s fun to take a little peek into your life. Puppy Love is delightful. Those are the most darling photos and your Maggie is absolutely adorable. Beautifully scrapped. I am slow getting started this month, but did finish a card for DGGD's birthday on Easter Day. Easter Birthday Card

nylene - thank you. No punch for the PL card - I fussy cut it. That would be a nice shape to have though. The valentine gnomes are mostly from Aldi

Linda getting us started off right! I don't always love snow, but I always love snowflake embellishments and paper. What a great page, and the colors in the formal layout are perfect. I don't think "Spring is in the air" is busy at all and I love the fussy cut tools and leaves. Your kitties are precious and that's a cool paw print cut file! I also never think to cut up cards into embellishments, thanks for that reminder! MDscrapaholic thank you for sharing your planner pages. I don't know why, but I keep thinking about this type of day to day documenting and yours look fun! Those photos of Maggie and Pepper are adorable and I love how shine on the Puppy Love LO. grammadee, nylene, kmage, kitbop I left love in the gallery! I'm going to do a better job of seeing what everyone is up to this quarter.

Question - how are you ladies hiding faces? I open in Paint 3-D - click on 2-D, click on a circle, place it on the face and colour it white/fill with white, and save. (I'm on a PC)

Considering how busy my background pp choice was, I tried to keep embellishment to a minimum! But I really liked the way it related to my photos of DD and I going for sushi - going to a restaurant for the first time after lockdown in 2020 - but my title reflects that we realized we knew we'd better do this while we could because covid numbers were on the rise again. And...OMG...3 spelling/grammar errors - will fix them now! Pls ignore. My brain is clogged! layout get out while the getting is good by kirstendrew, on Flickr

kitbop , are you using the same paper line for both layouts? I love how colorful and cheerful it is! Your second layout, I love how you fit so many photos on there. The title on the tag is so cute.

are you using the same paper line for both layouts? No...but I too noticed how well they matched in colours! As I was starting the 2nd layout I fussy cut out the stack of books from one of the PinkFresh pps and added it to my school layout (tucked them by the photo). So the school page is done on and old Webster's Pages Collection called "Hall Pass". The collection does not feel like it should match the 2nd one at all. The sushi page is newer PinkFresh - "Keeping it Real".

MDscrapaholic - your daily journal is awesome - I don't have the stick-to-it-iveness to manage a daily anything so I admire anyone who can. Puppy Love is adorable - great photos and that background paper works perfectly kitbop - love the bold plaid and all the school details and your perfect (as always) title! nylene - super adorable card for your DGGD - she'll love it! kitbop - I love the background paper and putting the photos in matted blocks helps them stand out against it

Layouts from this afternoon's virtual crop. This one is super simple - journalling only. When DD21 entered 6th grade, one of her teachers gave the parents an assignment of writing about their student - I saved what I wrote and decided it deserved a spot in the album. This one I had typed up and saved the journalling back when I took the photos and finally got them scrapped today And recent photos - don't worry, that's sparkling apple juice we're drinking. And a vintage photo - my grandparents, aunt, dad, and older sister (with her mum)...and no she would not thank me for calling it vintage, lol

A couple more for tonight I had saved a copy of DH's promotion announcement email so made a page for it. I don't love how it turned out - that lightbulb paper perhaps wasn't the best choice but...it's done and in the album And DD15's first day of Kindergarten - journalling is original to then. (and I sewed her dress and pinafore) - photos aren't blurry irl...my picture of the layout is however. And another 2012 back to school layout
