Finished off my dozen cards today with the last three. I wanted to play with my Spellbinders Glimmer foil system with some of the cutting plates I already own, so decided to try out the one with the sun rays. Thought it would work for the background of a grad card. shine bright by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then two birthday cards for my grand nieces. The first was too flowery for me, so I looked for an image on line of a dog like hers, printed and fussy cut it. The second is for the girl that is turning 18. May birthdays by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I need to come back and comment - sorry. Got to use a couple of PL cards that I've had way too long and just weren't my style but worked well for layering on this one. And the paper...gosh that's old too.

craftymom101 , your page is gorgeous. I love the contrast between the rugged woodgrain and the soft pastels. The scalloped circles behind your clusters are a pretty touch. I love all the tiny dots, sequins and hearts with the butterflies. Amazing page. scrappyrabbit, I left you love in the gallery. Thank you so much!

craftymom101, that page with the new kit is gorgeous. I love all the tearing and layering. And it is a wonderful loving page. Those BEE cards are beautiful and fun, azcrafty. I am not on IG, but would love to see the tutorial on how to do the one where the bee is half cut. Congrats to your dd, Linda on winning that award. Love that you included the award and the typewriter is the perfect embellishment! Your rocky beach photos are wonderful. Glad some have people in them, especially YOU! And awesome use of those PL cards!

Linda, I am impressed that you reached the full 50,000 words. When Ashley was doing NaNoWriMo I wrote with her and chose to do memoirs too, rather than a novel. She finished her novel, but I didn't get anywhere near the 50,000. I did get a lot of stories and pages done though, so it was worth it. You must be a prolific writer. Congrats. I love your wildlife pages. Great idea to cut up the PL cards to use for accents. I will remember that! azcrafty, I love your bee cards. That's such a creative use of the die. You really have a gift for cardmaking. I love the wreath of flowers surrounding the bee on the front. Beautiful cards. papersilly, what a beautiful folio. I love the flat background floral with the front flowers popping out. The lace is a sweet touch with the vintage girl. You do lovely work.

Linda , I am glad you got your energy back! I love the variety of your pages: so many different colours and patterns in one day. Loving the nautical stickers and icons.
I love your folio cover, papersilly! It looks so elegant and vintage! I hope you find some other projects--or more of those folios--cuz you make paper products sing! MDscrapaholic, I see that SCT box! Glad you got to document its arrival. And those pic's of the little one are adorable. Hoping you continue to play, cuz you are definitely on a roll! Heading to the Gallery to take a look at azcrafty 's video and nylene 's page. So much creativity around here!

MDscrapaholic, I am really enjoying your planner book. What kind of album is that? I am excited to see what you make with the SCT box. I'm glad you got to visit with your friend. I hope things go well with her surgery and treatment. You are doing such a beautiful job with your journaling. papersilly, I love the full view of your folio. You have such a talent for antique, artsy, beautiful projects. I want to see more! Linda, I love your nautical page with the sailboat and birds at the top and the use of the lighthouse. Gorgeous page! What a beautiful tree in bloom. That paper is perfect for the tree and blossoms. I love your design with the double banners. Your trip to Florida sounds difficult. I'm glad you eventually arrived with everything. I love the plaid you used on your background. The shaped title piece looks wonderful.

I did this for Shimelle's class - the pre-class work where we were supposed to scrap 4 quadrants and chose 3 colours next to each other in the rainbow. Mine are orange (well, coral), yellow, green obviously! It was a different way of paper choice for me and I was able to use 3 different manufacturers - the suns are doodlebug, the coral and green are both carta bella, and the yellow is ancient KI memories. I also used my SCT "sampler" kits for this - they include 6x6 paper, so I'm always pleased when I use them. I hand-drew and coloured the banner to match my layout and I love it! layout treading water by kirstendrew, on Flickr

papersilly, I really went down a rabbit hole last night. I love your beautiful work on your albums and folios, suitcases, etc. I clicked on your Etsy shop and spend a couple of hours just enjoying your art. Thank you for sharing more of your work here. You have such a talent! I am so impressed with your work. kitbop, you have love in the gallery. Your DD is sooooo athletic! Linda, your Lego layouts are perfect with the Lego papers. I love the design of the Legos mixed together, as well as the yellow strip of all one color. I’m sure your DH has built some amazing things. ~ I love the colors on your DD’s training layout. I am always a fan of dots. They just seem to speak to me. Love the floral paper with the exact same green. So pretty.

Less dangerous to the waist than baking and just slightly kinder to the back than gardening. Even with many SB companies going out of business, I hope paper crafting sticks around for a long time.i hope to keep on doing it (i'd better with all the stuff I own and keep buying. Lol)

Linda - love your lego layouts, but I really love the design on the san agustin training page. Classic. Your pages all give me great ideas for layouts and I know I embellish/layer way more than you but if you look at my "bones" before I get all blingy on it, you'll see your influence! papersilly - those are stunning creations, and I clicked into your link and WOW your work is just lush. MDscrapaholic - I wish i could get close to your pages! They are so interesting looking (your pup on your crop and create box; baby on drums!) and I love how they are organized.

a couple from earlier in the weekend I'm not really happy with this one - I tried stamping my title and didn't get it lined up well and my cluster...didn't work well. But it's in the album This one didn't photo well because of the silver foiling and the metallic letters

Happy Easter everyone! I hope y'all are enjoying some family time. I had mine yesterday, so I'm scrapping. The journal is something I'm really liking. I'm trying not to take pictures too close because some of the stuff in there is personal. Then here's a 12x12 page. After I got it all done, I noticed the inside patterned paper isn't straight!! OH MAN. Well, it is what it is. LOL nylene , I'm using one of Heidi Swapp's Storyteller's notebooks. When I did my 100-day journal before, I used Webster's Pages composition books. Both have sturdy pages, the Webster's journal has more pages than the HS notebook.

MDscrapaholic - your journal looks awesome and I'm glad you're having fun with it. The gymnastics page is great-b the colours and the stars - I didn't notice the PP being askew until I read your comment - mine often seems to end up that way.

Happy Easter, all! Here are my Easter cards that I made for family members: Easter Cards by Wendy M, on Flickr I've been out of town for the past couple of weeks (no scrapping time!) and will be leaving again tomorrow for another week away, so I only have a few projects to share so far. Hopefully will be able to get more done towards the end of the month.
