I'm not a total tech dork! I'm super excited that I was able to update and re-pair my Apple watch series 3! I googled and a mere 5 hours later (ha--while I was thinking I'd be making a trip to Apple today), all seems good!

Not that anyone asked but.... Rabbits actually have 2 kinds of poop, and they only eat 1 of them. This is why you still see poop EVERYWHERE!

Ds shared this fun fact with me. 86% of the people of Scotland and Ireland have blue or green eyes. In Iceland, it's even higher, 87% of men and 89% of women. Women are also more likely to have green eyes than men. Interesting. I have green eyes and my ex-husband has green eyes. Both of our children also have green eyes. I have been listening to a new to me podcast called A History of Rock in 500 songs and I'm amazed at the things I'm learning from it. His knowledge on these topics is so incredibly amazing. I learned a lot about Aretha Franklin this week. Did you know she was incredibly shy? She was gifted at the piano. Her father was a preacher who was huge into the civil rights movement. She performed at Dr. King's events many times and her jerk husband was angry when she would perform there for free. Note that you really need to be a music nerd to enjoy this podcast. The detail and history lessons are incredible, but for a casual listener, this is probably not the podcast for you. Intersting fact, malibou. I also have green eyes and 1 DD does too; the rest of the family has various shades of blue eyes. We have Irish on both sides (more on DH's than mine). jeremysgirl, I think that podcast sounds fascinating. TFS! (But then I am kind of a music nerd and I also love to read biographies, including biographies/memoirs of musicians. ) This week, I learned to make a great cheesesteak instead of always getting takeout when we want cheesesteaks.

I learned that being thrice vaxxed still doesn’t make having Covid easy. I’m really glad I AM vaxxed though, because it could have been so much worse than having what felt like a severe sinus infection.
So glad that’s over, and I’m on the backside!

That you're meant to cook and eat sugar snap peas whole. I've been fishing the peas out and throwing away the pods If it helps, the first time I remember eating a kiwi was when I was out with a boyfriend's family for breakfast at a buffet. The fruit was sliced but had the fuzzy skin on. I just ate the whole thing. They looked at me like I had 3 heads. :X Apparently you *can* eat it just fine, but it's not "the norm". When my kids were young, we had dear friends who were from Australia. The mom and I were having tea one day when her DD was over on a play date. The kids asked for Kiwi for a snack, and when I started peeling a couple, my friend and her daughter were rolling on the floor laughing at me. They said they eat kiwi fruit skin and all. The skin does have a similar texture to a peach. We all have eaten the skin ever since. I hated peeling them anyway, so it was a win-win for me! I’m wondering if the Australians here peel their kiwi fruit or not?

I learned that the customer service people at Sprint/T-Mobile have no idea what they’re doing. Same with many at Verizon!

That wrapping my hair in a microfiber towel, turban style, actually works for drying quicker. After I remove it from my hair it takes me about 2 minutes to blow dry my hair (usually takes much longer and I hate doing it).

I’m wondering if the Australians here peel their kiwi fruit or not? This Aussie has always peeled kiwi fruit. They are too fuzzy for me to eat the skin.

I’m wondering if the Australians here peel their kiwi fruit or not? It depends. Some varieties have a very smooth skin and I don't peel them, but some are extra fuzzy and I will peel those ones.
