It’s been fun reading these. I guess we all have something. For me, I make a grimace face when I’m doing something not very hard. I don’t realize I’m doing it at first until I catch myself. It would be embarrassing for someone to see me grimacing while doing a fairly easy task. This reminds me that when I had babies and I was feeding them solids, I'd contort my face like I was the one eating. DH and (later) my older kids thought it was hilarious. I don't even realize I'm doing it until I see my family mocking me. LOL. Merilee

I know there are lots of things but the first thing that came to mind is that I cut a lot my food in half before cutting off bites….meat, rack of ribs, all sandwiches including burgers and things like lasagne or giant raviolis….generally if it has more then 3 bites.

Idk if this is a quirk or not, but the bed has to be neat with smooth sheets when I get into it. If I forgot to make the bed that morning, I will make it before I get in at night so the sheets are straight and smooth. DH makes fun of me for it. At bedtime he’s like, do you want to come make the bed before I get in it? If he gets in and the bed is still rumpled, I have to straighten everything over top of him before I get in. My mother used to do the same thing!

Whenever I eat toast, I eat the crust from around the perimeter first. Same when I have grilled cheese.
When I used to eat the Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls (yum…haven’t had one in years, though), I’d bite the chocolate coating off the ends, then I’d peel off the chocolate coating from the rest, unroll the cake, and eat the cake and cream in small pieces. My senior year of high school when I was driving myself to school, I’d get there early enough to meet my friends in the cafeteria for “breakfast”. I’d get some milk and a Little Debbie. My friends always laughed at how I ate my Little Debbie.
I also don’t like different foods to touch on my plate. If we’re having something with a sauce or gravy, I’ll prop up my plate on one side so it doesn’t get in the food I don’t want it to get into.

If me and my DH are texting, and we misspell something that doesn’t register an autocorrect, most times we will just leave it if it’s easy to figure out what we meant. Many times, it has become a thing where we will continue to spell/say it incorrectly to each other. For example…one time I was typing Love you too, but typed toot. Now, we say love you too…t. Another was letting him know we needed to add bananas to our grocery list. I accidentally typed bababas. Now, even our pup knows that word.
I always put my left shoe, or pant leg on first. If I don’t, I’ll either do it again correctly, or tell my DH that I guess I’ll have a bad day because I put them on in the wrong order.

My quirk is opening the car window to say hello to nearby sheep whenever we drive slowly past them over the hills. I do that to deer and cows. “Hiiiiiii babiiiiies” God I’m annoying. I do this too! 😆 🥰

When I order a Starbucks drink I never take a drink right away.. cold or hot. If I am on my way to work, no drink until I am at my desk. I have no idea why..
Eating out, I typically almost bus my own table. I put everything back in it's place, no straw wrappers or napkins sitting on the table. Everything goes to the edge of the table for easy pickup. It's the waitress in me. My sister does the same thing (we found this out and laughed). Can't stand a messy table. (Fine dining I withhold as best as possible)
I never shut kitchen cabinet doors. Drives my husband crazy.. I never noticed this before until he said something. THEN I found out why I did this. MY MOTHER... she does the same thing. I have pictures to prove it. She is standing in my grandma's kitchen (probably helping with Thanksgiving dinner)... all the cabinets were open. haha
I had a few more in my head and I can't remember... I'll be back..lol

I don't carry a phone around with me. Although I think most people consider that a bit more insane than merely quirky.

I set thermostat in house and car on even numbers. Increase or decrease by twos. In the winter, I can guess what temperature it is in the house by whether or not I need my sweater on or off. If it's 63---I start to feel cold, even with the sweater. If it's 65, I need to remove the sweater. 64 is the sweet spot for me. I live for 64. So an increase or decrease at our house is always just by one to find that perfect 64.

Oh, last post. I need my glasses on to have any sort of technical or important conversation. I don't have any sort of hearing difficulty, but apparently when concentrating on remembering information that might not be familiar to me, I need to be able to se the person clearly. I know I do better with written instructions than verbal to begin with, so if verbal is all I can get, then I need to be sure I can really see the person well. Go figure. When I was hospitalized and they would wake me up in the middle of the night or early morning, I'd always ask them to wait one second while I put my glasses on before they started throwing medical jargon on me.
