hmmm. That letter reads like campaign propaganda. I’ll wait for the actual evidence to roll in, thanks.

While they look into this cover up they should also look into the cover up of the Kavanaugh investigation. If either broke any laws they should be prosecuted. Just like any other politician on either side.

Hmm... None of the major news outlets are covering it yet. The timing seems a little bit suspicious. Anytime the Democrats look good or the Republicans look bad, conservatives bring up Hunter Biden. Just in the last couple days, we discovered Trump wanted his generals to be like Nazi generals, he didn’t want wounded soldiers marching in his parade and the FBI raided his residence. The Democrats scored a major win with the passage of the widely popular Inflation Reduction Act, on the heels of other significant legislation including the CHIPS bill and the PACT act. So yeah, seems like a convenient time to bring up Hunter Biden. eta - Actually, this seems like recycled old news. Chuck Grassley sent the first letter at the end of May, the 2nd at the end of July. The FBI director was questioned 4 days ago regarding this. And so far, I think the only actual evidence is Chuck Grassley’s letters. The FBI officer in question is on leave from the Washington office. It seems likely he didn’t work on the Hunter Biden investigation recently. And since you’re such a stickler for precision and accuracy, perhaps you could edit your title to include allege, since all we have are Chuck Grassley’s letters. Even the tweet you posted used the word alleged. www.politico.com/news/2022/08/04/fbi-thibault-cover-up-hunter-biden-information-00049922Wray seemed to raise doubts that Thibault was working at any recent time on issues related to Hunter Biden. The FBI chief said that investigation, reportedly focused on tax issues and potential foreign influence related to Hunter Biden’s business ties, is being run by the Bureau’s Baltimore Field Office, which handles matters related to Delaware.

Imagine not just a Republican appointed director of the FBI, but a Trump appointed director of the FBI, investigating Trump & not Hunter Biden.
🤔 so naturally it’s a left wing plot. So Wray was some sort of ‘sleeper’ Democrat all these years? 🤦♀️

I’m sure FOX news is also trying to direct attention away from Alex Jones and all the texts between he and Tucker Carlson that will come to light now that Jones’ texts have all been sent to one of the prosecuting lawyers in the Sandy Hook case against him.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 How predictable. Hunter Biden is old news and is being looked into.
I predict she will delete and come back under a new name shortly. She deletes each time she can't dispute what a criminal that orange psycho is, so that no one can go back and dig up her old posts.
Pathetic!
I'm surprised she didn't bring up Hillary.🤣😂

FFS I didn't post this to take eyes away from Trump. I had no idea about Trump when I hit post. And with such a bombshell on Trump I don't think anything short of UFO's and alien invasion would have taken the focus off Trump. Certainly not here anyway. I also don't think someone being questioned 4 days ago regarding this qualifies as old news, but you do you. I had just found out about this. I never would have posted it if I knew about the raid because I would have known that would be the accusation.

When I posted, I don’t think we had the full details of the search warrant. I was referring to other bad news for Trump lately (pictures of him flushing documents, judge ordered him to turn over taxes, scheduled to give a deposition in the civil case etc, more information about his relationship with his generals, he didn’t want injured soldiers marching in his parade, he wanted his generals to be like the Nazi generals etc) and good news for Biden and the Democrats.
Did CBS report anything other than Chuck Grassley’s letters? His letters were dated at the end of May and July. The FBI director was interviewed, but there’s nothing new here.

Have at it. Given all of the other breaking news this week (Trump pleading the 5th today after saying only guilty people plead the 5th, Republican leaders stoking violence, Republican lawmakers in PA served with subpoenas, the FBI taking Scott Perry’s phone etc) I don’t think anyone is really interested in talking about Hunter Biden.

What is the obsession with Hunter Biden about? He isn’t in the administration or working for the administration or making money while they are working in their dad’s administration.
If I was doing something wrong, I would do everything I could to avoid talking about it, including talking about other people doing what I was doing. For example, if I knew that my dear leader’s kids did all of the above, The last thing I would be doing is whining about Hunter Biden’s laptop. Or, if I had ranted and raved about the protection of classified information on a private email server, I wouldn’t have used burner phones, ripped up, flushed, and otherwise destroyed classified documents. And I sure wouldn’t be saying “defund the FBI” after tearing down the idea of defunding the police. Or I wouldn’t be contradicting everything that I said over the last five years to spin my party in a different way. But republicans are allergic to irony and immune to hypocrisy. There is a special kind of personality flaw with them.
Eta that if he did something wrong, I am fine with him being investigated. But I don’t think that what he may or may not have done is as consequential as what the Trumps did during his presidency. And I think they should have had some consequences. And again, I think it is hypocritical for people to constantly bring up Hunter Biden while ignoring the rest.

Well, if we’re playing the game of whataboutism, it’s important to note, Hunter Biden has fully cooperated with the investigation. In comparison, Trump pled the 5th today. This sums it up better than I can heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/august-10-2022More than that, though, Trump made history today by becoming the first U.S. president to plead the Fifth. It is an astonishing thing to see that a former president, the person who was responsible for faithfully executing the laws of our nation, has invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

Because they downplayed it and outright lied about it being Russian disinformation during the campaign. They knew it wasn't at the time, but they pushed that lie until AFTER the election. THEN they admitted that yes, it was real, not Russian disinformation. There's been a poll since then that said a significant amount of Biden voters wouldn't have voted for Biden had they known the truth at the time. Because Hunter's business partner HAS testified that Hunter WAS making money from his dad's position as VP. That's why it's a problem. And again, I think it is hypocritical for people to constantly bring up Hunter Biden while ignoring the rest. And vice versa.

I think lots of people know Hunter has always been basically a ne’er-do-well most of his adult life. I mean, he’s the opposite of Beau and that’s never been a secret. During the Obama tenure, it was well-known Hunter was occasionally a thorn in their side.
That said, there’s never been any evidence that whatever he was doing had influenced Joe in any way regards his official duties as VP, nor has there been evidence at all that Joe had received monies/kickbacks from any of the companies and countries Hunter had been involved with. If there’s Joe-related corruption stemming from Hunter’s activities, this is DC—that’s the sort of thing you couldn’t have kept under wraps for long.
Hunter is a private citizen; he wasn’t involved in the running of gov’t. If Delaware has a case against him, then the US Atty there will handle it.

Interesting but not surprising that the OP had time to post about Hunter but so far, has remained silent about the nuclear weapons documents that Trump stole and refused to give back.
The other part I don’t understand is the blatant hypocrisy. Most conservatives were silent about Trump’s massively unqualified children working in the White House, receiving clearances they shouldn’t have, Ivanka profiting off a deal with China, Trump endorsing her company from the White house, Jared who has never managed a fund receiving a $2 B Saudi investment. Or Trump himself profiting off the presidency? Not turning his company over, his company made millions when the family travelled and stayed at hotel properties, his golf club received millions of dollars to host the Saudi tournaments etc. How can you turn a blind eye to all of that and then say but Hunter?

And if they do find anything put his sorry ass in jail. I don't know anyone who doesn't think he is a creep but it is not illegal to be a jerk.
