I think this is a good, relatively objective summary about Hunter Biden’s laptop and the NY Post. At the time, the emails couldn’t be verified because the NY Post would not allow anyone to see them. And Giuliani wanted the story published before it could be verified. Given how the NY Post handled it, their reputation, Giuliani’s involvement, how the laptop was found etc, it was reasonable to question the validity. Perhaps twitter should not have suspended the account. Hindsight is 20/20. In the 2016 election, there was plenty of Russian disinformation. In 2020 there were signs of Russian disinformation and it wasn’t unreasonable to think the laptop might be the same. There is no evidence that Hunter did anything illegal, there is no evidence that President Biden was involved in Hunter’s business dealings and there is no evidence that the Biden campaign pressured twitter to suspend the NY Post. Did Hunter use his Dad’s name to his benefit? Probably. Again I have to ask - all of this was widely reported before the 2020 election, so insofar as there was a “cover up,” it seems to have been incredibly inefficient. Why the scandal? |

Samantha, we had the evidence of Hunter's laptop, the media and the FBI were calling it "Russian disinformation" and banning any news source from reporting it on Facebook and Twitter. PEOPLE were put in timeout for saying it. Left leaning news was demonizing anyone who said it. Joe Biden got elected and SINCE THEN it's common knowledge that oh, it wasn't actually "Russian disinformation". Hell, even Hunter himself admitted it. Can you link a source for the "we had the evidence of Hunter's laptop and Russian disinformation"? And where did "Hunter himself admitted it" source come from? Among the items attached but not released are …
Item B - All intelligence reporting, products, and analysis that formed the basis of the briefing.
Item C - The name(s) of the person(s) who recommended that Senator Johnson and I be briefed.
So without the attachments being released to back up what is being claimed in the letter then it’s just a lot of meaningless words in a letter.
Is any of it true? We won’t know until we see the evidence.
What we do know is that Hunter Biden is being investigated. There is a laptop But there may be a problem with the laptop and how much information can be used in building any sort of criminal case and that’s “chain of custody”. I also read in the article I posted on this thread that some of the information is corrupted. If it’s true, that’s another problem. So we will have to see what the investigation will turn up.
No one is saying Hunter Biden shouldn’t be investigated. But Grassley hasn’t proven to the American People what he is claiming either. If you think he has based on the information we have in his letter without seeing the actual proof, then I know where you can get a sweet deal on buying an iconic orange bridge in the place where Tony Bennett left his heart. |
