Happy Thursday! Waving hi to everyone and hope you are having a nice day. I was checking out the gallery and saw lots of your cards and layouts. So good! justjac, your journal pages are cool, too. nylene- The craft fair seemed to have lots of activities for kids. I didn't get a real good look but looked like some were doing origami. They probably had a schedule of activities for the kiddies. I hope next year, they have some for us grown folks. Sending a prayer and a hug to all of you sweet peas having challenges right now. Hang in there!

Good Morning Pokeys! Man where has this month gone? I know I ask that every month but the time flies and I don't like it lol. I've tried so many times to get caught up with you all and it hasn't been happening. gramma I'm so sorry about Ken I hope he's doing alright. That lady at the retreat should have checked with the peas, we've known for months you are easing into retirement lol. And heck yes, I will be there to crop! The only things I've actually done this quarter are because of the crops. OMG after the Chiefs game, and then they cut us to the end of the Bill/Dolphins, which was a crazy ending game, I needed to someone to talk to about it all LOL! Almost made me miss the Ex - almost lol. Seeing what happened with Tua last night, I really hope that young man will think seriously about his quality of life down the road and will just end his NFL career himself. nylene how is DH doing? I'm sure the time out of the house was wonderful for his disposition. I hope he continues to improve. And you get some time to scrap! Be sure to take care of yourself too. MARIBETHR those meals look good and I LOVE the pages, so cool. I just love the plate and utensil elements, they are so cute. As well as the thumbs up/down. grammadee I hope you can get your veggies under control lol. It sounds like such a lot of work. Enjoy your family this weekend! Can't wait to see the pages you'll make. Linda my mom had a Singer machine like that with the knee treadle! Oh that brings back so many memories. She also had a very similar one with the foot pedal that I learned to sew on. Happy Anniversary! How is DD doing? I hope she's healing well. kitbop and all of you ladies with the aging knees, I'm right there with you. kitbop I haven't been able to deep squat for years. It sucks, this aging thing sometimes. kellyr21 waving HI! There are so many cool goings on where you live. It sounds fun,and I love hearing about the art classes you take. But I talked to a guy the other day that was on his way home in LA traffic and he said his commute can be up to three hours some days. That's wild and nowhere I want to be lol. justjac I really love your daily pages. They are so relatable and I love how in the moment they are. I have mostly been working, not scrapping, but getting lots of TV in. You guys I've watched more TV since the pandemic started than I have in the last 10 years I think lol. I have great intentions to scrap after work, but there's this cat, and she yells at me until we sit and watch TV together lol. Once I'm on the couch it's game over. I sat down with her for "just a few minutes" the other night. Thought I would watch a little bit of Ferris Bueller's Day off. Ha! I couldn't shut that movie off to save myself lol! Then I go look at my scrap table that needs cleaned off and turn around leave the room lol. But I have all the Sketchtember sketches printed and I'm setting up my weekend so that chores are all done and I have nothing to do but scrap this weekend. We'll see how that actually goes lol. I'm woefully behind on the gallery and sharing threads. There has been no motivation to scrap lately but printing the rest of the sketches yesterday really got me itching to scrap, so I hope that continues.

kellyr21 - Waves hi! Hope life is treating you well MARIBETHR - looks like you eat well - yummy looking dinners and I love how all the pages coordinate yet are individual! joyfulnana - Thank you. DD has a long wknd at home away from the lights/noise of school and with less time on the computer (they use chromebooks in almost all her classes) since she was virtual Wed, off yesterday and today and then will miss at least part of the day Monday to get her cast off - I'm hoping that'll help rid her of the headaches because otherwise she'll be headed back to the doctor again. Sorry Abby prefers TV to scrapping. I usually have 1-3 kitties in the scraproom helping. Going to try and finish up the last six sketches today before midnight - I'm so fortunate that DH is fine with me hanging out in the scraproom most of the day rather than doing housework some days. I will need to catch up this weekend though after being off my feet with a bad knee for a couple of weeks, housework is sadly neglected. Knee isn't 100% yet but I can go part-time without a crutch now whch is easier.

MARIBETHR - looks like you eat well - yummy looking dinners and I love how all the pages coordinate yet are individual! I decided to do a different layout style for each quarter. I may run out of ideas. Yes we really enjoy the meals. It is so helpful, wish we could do it for all week. Hubby is retired, I still work, so he is in charge of meal prep and it is hard for him to think of ideas so this helps, no decision making just follow the recipe to a great meal.

Quick check in. I arrived at my ds’s yesterday late afternoon. Quiet evening visiting with my ddil (ds is off team roping in Montana). Two dgs’s and their older sister have promised to humour me this morning to do photo shoots with the leaves still on the trees. This afternoon we are heading to the arena to watch their cousin play hockey.
I have been terrible about keeping up with everyone here. Hope to do better in October.

MARIBETHR, I really like all the meal photos and info you have done. The in-between pages with vintage prints and fun sentiments are really cool. So how often do you use the Blue Apron meals? I have spent so much time in the kitchen in the last two weeks making very soft meals for Steve. I think we will go out to dinner tonight. Linda, I'm glad DD got a break from the bright lights and chromebook. I hope that a weekend off will make the headaches go away. Hooray for getting the cast off on Monday. Hope it all goes well. You know that you don't have to finish the Sketches by midnight. We have until the 7th (I think) to finish all the challenges. grammadee, glad to know you arrived safely. I hope you have a wonderful visit. I am very itchy for a get-away right now. I'd love to just catch a flight and go to Angie's. Will you finish the sketches? I certainly won't but I have done 13 which is a lot for not getting much scraproom time. kellyr21, I know you are excited for football and I'm glad you can chat with joyfulnana and gramma about the team. Sorry I am not up on anything going on in the Sports world. Have a great Fall weekend! joyfulnana, I giggled at Abby not letting you scrap. She is as needy as a child. I remember wanting to get something done and one of my kids would beg me to sit and watch a movie. But I don't regret that time, so enjoy Abby and scrapping can wait for another day. I hope to see you on Sat. We went to see the surgeon this morning and he's not really happy with how DH's lower lid looks. He gave him some exercises and wants to recheck in 2 weeks. If that doesn't take care of it, it means the tendon has become unattached. I know DH doesn't want another surgery!!! Gotta run. I will close this thread tonight and start a new October thread before I go to bed. Have a great weekend, everyone!

I have spent so much time in the kitchen in the last two weeks making very soft meals for Steve. I think we will go out to dinner tonight. Most weeks we get a delivery of three meals. It really helps the hubs because he has a hard time thinking of what to make for dinner. (We've all experienced that before right!). I would do them seven days a weeks, however since they are delivered one a week by the end of the week the fresh ingredients would not be so fresh. That design is my 3rd quarter 2022 it is 6 x 6 papers atop a 12 x 12 white sheet with the 1/4 black border separating them. Now to come up with a quarter 4 design.

He gave him some exercises and wants to recheck in 2 weeks. If that doesn't take care of it, it means the tendon has become unattached. I know DH doesn't want another surgery!!! I'm sorry to read this - continuing to pray for your DH - I hope the exercises help.

nylene I hope to continue working on the sketches over the next month. But I won’t get them finished in time for the bonus.
