Watched Halloween Cookie Challenge on Food Network Channel How was it? I think we watch that network on Hulu. I saw that Nailed it just released a Halloween season and I can't wait to see it. We once did the Nailed it at home and it was so much fun. We passed a house the other day Wow. That yard is incredible. On the other hand, our next door neighbors are putting their house on sale tomorrow, so perhaps this is not the year. Ha! I think that is exactly why this is your year. You need neighbors who get you. scrappyem thanks for sharing that collection. I really like it and the price is very affordable. Aww, now I feel kind of bad... No rush! Whenever you pass next to it. But when you do, don't forget to share. This sounds so cool. It's not a big deal. This is WV. You can't go anywhere without going up and down at least one hill. I definitely needed the exercise and enjoyed the walk at sunset. I think they did a really great job with their set up. Thank you. I'll definitely pick these up. This is incredible. I love his creations. Wow. So glad to have a new follow. So good. Yes! I will check her out. Always looking for something to read. I have my qualifying exam for my PhD next week You can do it. It is grueling. I just finished my dissertation and graduated in Dec. of 2021. It's the worst best thing I ever did. My exams were a little different. I got one question each morning at 8 am and had to submit at 5 pm. I had 3 days of those. It's brutal but worth it. Good luck! If you need to scream at someone about your committee, I am here for you. I really enjoy watching all the Halloween cooking shows going on right now on Food Network. My favorite being Halloween Baking Championship.

Nicky Laatz has a cool font freebie today: witches brewIt's got an SVG version as well which I think means you can cut it out with your silhouette. I definitely am going to do something cool with this.

Just dropping in super quickly to let you ladies know that it looks like Frank Garcia is carrying Spanish brand Mintopia's new Halloween Collection, Truco o Trato. Colours match Luna by Prima perfectly. And it is absolutely darling... My French Mintopia vendor just got the paper pads in stock, now waiting for the embellishments to be made available for purchase so I can finally get my grubby ghoul hands on this line! Not sure what's left in stock at Frank's but if you're interested, you will probably need to act swiftly.

What movies/tv shows/episodes do you guys watch every year? Or have on your lists this year? The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Hocus Pocus, Carnival of Souls, and sometimes The Changeling (1980) NOT Changeling. Usually something Hitchcock. I haven't seen all of them. I'm not a fan of gore. I like funny or psychological thrillers.
So, I'm wondering if seeing December Daily stuff just annoys you right now? I'm like, IT'S OCTOBER! Give me Fall! I never felt this way in the past but now I'm not into it. Super scrolling past it all in Instagram. There's so many videos now and not enough photos! I'm a simple scrapper. I don't want to watch them.
The Home Depot giganto skeleton from early pandemic times?? nice!! Defo need to get a photo of that. There's a couple in my town I've noticed. One house has a skeleton, rat skeletons, a snake... It's wild. They keep a giant fake spider web up all year and have a car with detailing that says storm troopper. Another one has a creepy mannequin. Our neighbors have a couple of the giant skeletons and some huge spiders. This year the skeletons are spraying bug spray to exterminate the spiders and it’s pretty clever. They put us to shame. I haven’t even drug out my jack-o-lantern yet and all I have to do is plug him in. I have to ask, do you have a costume for the baby? There is nothing cuter at Halloween.
No way to phrase this, but it's been a shitty month. End of September, everything on my laptop was lost. We tried, no one could retrieve anything. Kids with issues has been another thing.
So, I'm finding missing photos I want to put in my Halloween tin album. I decided I'm going to put Comic Con photos in there too. Although it is COSPLAY and not costumes according to my daughter. Whatever.
I'm going to attempt a pumpkin walk tonight with the youngest child because his social skills suck. He threw himself on the sidewalk at the farmer's market because I wouldn't let him steal a drink. Did I mention he's 14 now?
ETA: We're trying to get movie tickets to see a silent movie horror film with live organ music in an old theater. Fingers crossed! They are doing other Halloween movies too including Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not going to lie, going to that would intimidate me. I've heard stories, but it is Utah, but it is in a college town.

refugeepea the silent movie hoot show and rocky horror show both sound fun! I’ve never gone to rocky horror and I’d like to. Perfect for October documenting.

refugeepea sorry it's been a crappy month. I do hope it gets better for you. And I agree! We need to see the baby in a costume. Did anyone else notice we are on page 13? I just got a kick out of that. I was able to make the word I needed out of that font I posted earlier. Then I saved it as a png, opened it in silhouette, traced it, then cut it out. I can't believe I did that. I feel like the world is mine now.

I had friends in high school that went to the local theater for RHPS and they allowed props. One took a large handmade cutout of a male body part LOL
We of course watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Dd and dh are going to see Halloween Ends. And ds still likes his Curious George Halloween movie.
Still need to watch HP2.

blemon, my lucky number. Next year is my 13th anniversary and I was married on Friday the 13th. I think I need a big party. Now let’s get this thread to page 666.

Now let’s get this thread to page 666. Funny story, well kind of. My sense of humor is warped. I once purchased feminine pads and a candy bar. The total came to $6.66. Seemed fitting. The cashier noticed and was laughing.

Rocky Horror is very fun. I went with a friend a few years ago. We dressed up, but not too flamboyantly, and I don’t think I admitted to be a RHPS virgin - most shows bring the first timers up to be part of the show for a bit, I think. We also sat near the back to be less likely to be involved in anything on stage. It was really fun and the people there were cool. It’s definitely going to attract a different crowd than some other shows in Utah!

Any one buying any of Heidi Swapps Halloween release for Oct Daily? This showed up in my feed last night and I bought way too much lol. I Love the stamp set! I’m tempted to take one of the classes. I have bought too much Halloween stuff this year. Victoria Marie was saying how she was going to just make her October Daily a perpetual album that she adds to each year and I really like this idea. Back when I used to do Christmas layouts I had a designated Christmas album and I just added a few layouts each year.

I got so much done yesterday! Scraplifted a couple Traci Reed pages from her Citrus Twist inspiration video to get the crafty juices flowing. I Probably spent an hour piecing together a Nintendo switch shaker die bought from Ali Express so naturally there were no instructions.. that was fun 🙄 BUT in the end I got this cute ass pocket for game screenshots lol. Between us the screenshots I'm using are from my mobile Stardew Valley farm but shhh nobody else needs to know 😂 Over the past few years I've somehow become a pumpkin person and accumulated a good.. 10-12 different pumpkins in differing sizes (candy dishes, candle holders, light up things, etc) so those got their own couple pages along with the new guy from this year. A lot of my stuff is more lowkey this year with DBF being out of town so much for work/a week vacation with friends and after the mess with his tire on our drive home from Southern California he still hasn't gotten fixed because of work and time.. I'm without a car much of the month. So that's a whoooole bucket of fun lol. Thankfully I'm doing an October Forever album vs an October Daily album this year so it's really just the spooky stuff that goes on and I don't feel so bad when I go multiple days without anything I feel 'fits' the theme. Now if the weather could get with the program where I didn't need to turn my AC on that would be great 😂

There is an interesting convo going on in the DD thread about interactive pages. I love a mix. I have to say I got a lot of love on this super simple page yesterday and I thought it may have been too simple. http://instagram.com/p/CjdOZV8ugET I did take the flat lay 3 times to make sure the spacing was right. So sometimes simple is still not simple.

I did take the flat lay 3 times to make sure the spacing was right. So sometimes simple is still not simple. Ma'am, it is not allowed to make such a perfect minimalist page. Nuh-huh, Ma'am. Please do ALL the interactive things and mess half of them up in the process. (Totally scraplifting this if you don't mind. And if I can get my hands on some Halloween sweets this year. I just looked at the online catalogue for the new arrivals at my local supermarket next week and still no sign of Halloween treats! Eep. Help!)

sleepingbooty, someone said they wanted to scraplift for Christmas and my mind started going. It would be cute with ornaments. Or a story about those candies our grandparents used to get with the ribbons. Or even tiny presents. Thank you for the compliment. I’m glad I went minimal because I do kind of love it.

You're going to have a wonderful time and I'm super jelly. I've only ever seen it once on a big screen. (No, there are absolutely no scary movie showings happening in any of my local theatres. I keep checking and hoping but alas, just some Top Gun double feature event.) Happy 100th, Nosferatu!

I'm actually thinking of using this to photograph a handmade Advent calendar with little boxes. That organic "hugging" circular shape would be a lovely callback to the traditional Christmas wreath.

I don't know where to start with her since I just started following her. I bought that fall kit that was posted here a few days ago and I love it. I have to say I got a lot of love on this super simple page yesterday and I thought it may have been too simple. I think it's great. I'm also going to try to scraplift it. I should photograph and share some of my pages. I've been on a roll and I'm happy so far with what I've done.

I’d call it clean and very intentional. Great example of a well execute page that does not scream complexity. I did take the flat lay 3 times to make sure the spacing was right. ecvnj58 that is the coolest layout! It looks so good.
I bought imported candy corn last October off of Ebay. It's not sold over in the UK and as it features heavily on what feels like almost every halloween scrapbook line ever, I thought I'd give it a go. Do people actually like that stuff? I *love* sweets, I have a terrible sweet tooth, but man, candy corn just tasted of disappointment and sadness.*
On a seperate note, Bramble Fox are currently selling some very cute autumnal and Halloweeny embelleshments at the moment:
*please bear in mind that this is coming from someone who realy loves the root beer flavour Jelly Belly, so what do I know?
