Love the tins. I do have a memory of that now that it's been sparked.
I went on a cutting spree today!
I cut a bunch of ghosts, a bunch of bats, a cat mug, two skeleton head portraits in fancy frames, a skull and crossbones that's super cute, and a black cat.
I think I am past the learning curve of the silhouette and now I won't be afraid of it anymore.
I even cut felt circles for DD (too cheap to buy the kit).
So much fun.

Not me browsing for Halloween-y patches on AliExpress after midnight... I've found the cutest black kitty (pretty much exactly blemon's cat): And here you can find several of my faves for October Daily - "You're cute but also Satan", "See you in hell" with the middle-fingery ghost and the black kitty warning you not to go outside because there are people out there:

Not me browsing for Halloween-y patches on AliExpress after midnight... OMG. Why are you doing this to me? I just spent $17 on charms last week. Now I need these patches!!! In other needs: Can you please share youtube links or instagrams of people who have good October Dailies? I watched most of Serena Bee's videos, also Krystal Idunate, and prettylittlepapers (I think). Oh, and Paige Evans.

OMG. Why are you doing this to me? Now I need these patches!!! What can I say? I'm cute but also Satan! Can you please share youtube links or instagrams of people who have good October Dailies? Sabrina Ann used to be a big name in the super niche October papercrafting game. She now has a new channel where she posted last year's OD album but all the other years are on that first channel I mentioned. She was up there with Serena Bee in terms of recognition. This was for many years a super small community that did its own thing. Sabrina Ann is an excellent example alongside Serena Bee of the no-nonsense, just-have-fun approach by these innovators. Sweet Girl Designs has done several OD albums. Marybeth Hancher has done a couple of OD projects. life_documented7, a very small and new channel, has uploaded past October Daily flip-throughs going back to 2013. Simply Alexandra has participated a few times. Lisa's Oddities uploaded two years of OD as well (her 2019 OD is very true to that OG October Daily spirit). In the late adopters crowd like Krystal (the ones who have a very AE DD-like approach to this project), you'll also find Sabrina Poole, Theresa Moxley, Traci Reed, Leilani Scraps and Heba Alsibai. I am missing an early-ish adopter of the trend that I used to really enjoy. Wondering if she deleted her channel and that's why I can't find her now? Not sure. Will keep looking and update this thread if I find her videos again.

I have to run right now so I'm popping in to make another request:
What are your most used embellishments for October Daily?
What do I need to pick up right now to get started? I have already hit the dollar stores, am saving packaging, ordered the paper and the kits and stickers from all the places.
I just added the mummy ribbon from Tim Holtz to my ACOT cart.
I'll be back later to read the rest of the thread.

I started a Pinterest October Daily board and found there isn’t nearly as much stuff out there as I had thought there would be. I’m finding as much inspiration here as anywhere on the interwebs.
I made a quick trip to Joann’s with hope of finding 1.5” binder rings for my junk journal- no dice. I might try Hobby Lobby today although I usually steer clear. I gutted a vintage book with a blue-green cover but managed to leave the spine of the cover intact. I punched holes for the rings on the front and back covers so it will have a little bit more polished look on the shelf then this type of closure normally does but be better able to accommodate bulk. I also lined the inside cover with some white and black paper from my stash. Super excited to start putting it together soon!

I was listening to the Sabrina video you posted earlier and she really focuses on putting together a Kit. I'd love to know what kinds of things people are going through and including to create their kits - besides the new goodies you are buying. I am also working on a creative page formula because I am doing a halloween pasts album so a formula makes sense. I've love ideas if anyone has done any kind of formula for October.

dudleypippenare you looking for just some plain metal rings or something cuter like colored ones? office supply stores would have larger rings but you're less likely to find colored ones outside of 1 inch I think. if you're an amazon shopper you'd definitely find both plain and colored rings in larger sizes. I hope you're able to get what you're looking for!

What can I say? I'm cute but also Satan! More like Sabrina, IMO! And thanks for all the links. I'm getting my omicron (bivalent) booster tonight so tomorrow, I watch crafting videos. Yes. I'd love to know what kinds of things people are going through and including to create their kits - besides the new goodies you are buying. I spent a couple of hours with my silhouette the other night cutting out files. I found some really cute stuff. I went to Michaels and stocked up on black paper. I fear I did not get enough. I also went through my entire stash and pulled out all the fall and halloween supplies I already had or whatever matched what I was pulling out. I want to have fun with this album. paperpippi on Instagram has some vintage Halloween goodie bags in her shop had not heard of her so I will check this out! thanks!

What are your most used embellishments for October Daily? Just plain whatevers from life. I love picking up a set of small gift bags with ghosts or a print on Etsy from an artist who does spooky stuff to include as a fancy insert. This is a time to break free from working only from scrapbook collectons + kits. Embrace your inner wild one! If you see a Halloween greeting card at the store you love, treat yourself. Keep the stickers with the product names from your Halloween Lush products (of course, it's a must to go pick up a few seasonal things from Lush in October if you have a store nearby). Buy a cute spooky banner and cut it up to make a large double-page insert for your album. And so on, and so on. It's really a project where you can break free from the just-right-ness and scrappily correct ways of documenting. Thrift tarot cards, buy a vintage Halloween postcard on Ebay for a couple of bucks, add splashes of metallic watercolour, keep the tags of your new spooky purchases, etc. Unleash your inner paper freak and turn your project into your very own Frankenstein monster. That's the proper fun part of it all! What do I need to pick up right now to get started? I have already hit the dollar stores, am saving packaging, ordered the paper and the kits and stickers from all the places. See my answer above. You don't need to pick up anything except what catches your fancy as you go about life. Don't overthink it! Sounds like you have a lot to work with already. You got this! (Ok, just kidding, you *do* need some tiny pompom trim from AliExpress. Black, of course!) (Ok, you may also need one of those vampire capes for cats I've seen on AliExpress, jussayin'.) paperpippi on Instagram has some vintage Halloween goodie bags in her shop. She recently added some Nightmare Before Christmas kits. Very, very cute! Love the Sanderson sisters and Addams Family sets as well. And thanks for all the links. I'm getting my omicron (bivalent) booster tonight so tomorrow, I watch crafting videos. Yes. Congrats! We have to wait until the second half of October for one of the bivalent boosters (still have to read up and see which one I'd rather have if I can pick). One more month. I hope your booster symptoms are mild and you can enjoy all those crafty videos.

Ok, just kidding, you *do* need some tiny pompom trim from AliExpress. Black, of course! Done. I bought trim a week or so ago from AliExpress. I had nothing so I got some velvet ribbon, pom pom trim, and some nice stripes. Ok, you may also need one of those vampire capes for cats I've seen on AliExpress, jussayin'.) You are killing me!!! Now I need this. I just bought Milo a witch hat but we'll have to get our calico Charlie in this cape. One more month. I hope your booster symptoms are mild and you can enjoy all those crafty videos. Thank you! I'm oddly excited about this. I want to start getting out more but have been avoiding crowds. I've actually been invited to two Halloween parties so I want to have fun again.

If you like small puffy stickers to sprinkle about your Halloween layouts, head to the card section in Target. American Greetings has adorable pumpkin, bat and ghost puffies that are perfect for this. And you get 134 of them for about $5, a great investment! I will try to grab a photo of my set when my toddler is distracted (he hates when I go into the craft room without him!). Another idea, if you like texture and layering some fabric under photos, is to use cheesecloth. You can pick up a pack for a few bucks and it will last forever. And it is so thin, it does not add bulk. I like how it looks a bit like spider webs. Here is a layout I made using cheesecloth: http://instagram.com/p/CZcBURUO9Gj

Love-love-love your LO, sarahsprettypapers. Those two papers go beautifully together, especially in the proportions you chose. Plus, you used vellum as one of your mattes. Shush, that is exactly what I love! The "One dark night" cluster is perfection. And erm, yes, the puffies are super cute but your LO outshines them.

That is so.cute! I promise you I have been buying enough Halloween stuff for everyone on this board. My thrift store has been rocking the Halloween stuff this year. I even got myself a Jack and Sally cold coffee cup for 49 cents. Our cat Fritz will willingly sported his 49 cent pumpkin hat long enough for photos! His triceratops hat came from Target, but he rocked that as well. I have bought mugs, trays, plates, garlands, blankets, pillows, etc. I have been so irresponsible lately. I will have to be sure to photograph some of my finds for my book.

I'm about to spend over 40€ in Halloween stuff from Hema. There is an adorable felt bat trick-or-treat bag. And baroque-ified Jack o'Lanterns and skulls. And spiders with a fold-out honeycomb ball bellies. And the cutest stickers. And more.
This is not healthy. We are in stagflation. The energy bills will be through the roof in Europe this winter.
What am I doing?
Am I doing over 40€ on Halloween stuff? Really?
I guess I am. Positively luciferian spending, I swear.

You're frustrating me with all your 49 cent Halloween finds! Erm, we're going to need a haul pic, please. Would make for an awesome spread in an October album, jussayin'... Fritz in hat sounds like the spooky cuteness the world needs right now. We're going to be fighting off the seasonal depression with all the furry companions in Halloween costumes in this thread. And I'm here for it!

Baroque-ified small Jack o' lantern (tealight holder): Baroque-ified small skull (tealight holder): Felt bat trick-or-treat bag: BOOO sticker book (that crow on the pumpkin, right?): Spider garland with fold-out honeycomb ball bellies: Black kitty paper napkins:

I grabbed those Halloween puffies from Target last year. Despite using them a bunch, it barely made a dent in the pack. I’ll have those suckers for an eternity! 👻 (psst, Booty, I’d be delighted to send you some!)
A superrrrrr cute tip I picked up watching Krystal Idunate’s flip through of her OD31 album from last year — she used the empty plastic backing from a sticker sheet like this to create a clear pocket for some tags or photos or something. Because the plastic was etched with all the little sticker outlines, giving it a sorta embossed quality. Really neat repurposing idea.
