This is my darling boy sporting his pumpkin chapeau. Goodness me, you've put it on his head tilted béret style and it's le swoon! 😍 Kudos on grabbing the photo. He's still so young and I just can't imagine how quickly he wanted it off his furry head (but Fritz, hear me out, it makes you look the adorablest). Well done! You just need to hit up the thrift store again to find more costumes to put him in... The results of my learning to use my silhouette and an hour or so on the google looking for vintage cat illustrations. 🎃🧡☠️ Very nice, blemon! I'm particularly in love with the cat paper puppet. These will all look darling in your album. I'm so glad this October project pushed you to start using your Silhouette. You're going to have so many custom bits and bobs to add to not only OD But also DD this year. 😊 I grabbed those Halloween puffies from Target last year. Despite using them a bunch, it barely made a dent in the pack. I’ll have those suckers for an eternity! 👻 (psst, Booty, I’d be delighted to send you some!) OOOOH! Thank you so much, honeypea! 🖤😊🖤 Everyone on this board is so nice and supportive, I love it! We're a pretty cool bunch, if I do say so myself... There's no other place like 2PR for scrappy folks. No fakeness, no "only positivity!" like many of the private FB groups, criticism welcomed but at the heart of it, we just love seeing each other's pages and cheering each other on. 🥰

I forgot Jossie Posie for October fans! She has flip-throughs posted for her albums going back to 2016 and loves all things witchy and spooky. Here's her 2022 album prep video:

This is my darling boy sporting his pumpkin chapeau. Oh my, he's so beautiful. I can't wait until my vampire capes comes for my calico. She has weird markings around her eyes so she looks really angry all the time. She'll be extra pissed off having to wear a costume so it's going to be glorious. the skull thing, something about his mouth is freaking me out! The mouth is a little off. I also say yes to everything but since you already are getting the jackolantern, you don't really need two tealight things. Yesterday at CVS I bought a really pretty teal-ish pumpkin with a gold stem. I'll post photos later. I have a bit of a low fever but am otherwise ok as long as I don't do anything. Off to watch crafting videos and I'm saving page 7 until later. I'm so excited for that list of links.

I was the one who took it off! He went to sleep with his Triceratops hat on yesterday. He is just a really patient and sweet boy. We really won the kitten lottery with him. Love this group of scrappers as well. We are very lucky to have this community!

I won't be doing an October Daily. I really suck at projects like this: barely get started and then---SQUIRREL!--and the whole thing gets away on me. I wanted to give you gals a heads up, though. I am planning to plunk a Gratitude Photo Challenge into Quarter Four. Thanksgiving in Canada is in October, and the quarter goes right through to after Christmas. Basically the challenge will be to photograph something for each of the prompts. We deal with points in the Q-4 challenges, so there would be one point for snapping the photo, a point for sharing it, a point for using it on a card or page or other project, and 5 points for dedicating a page or card to that one prompt. If you think it will help you stay focused on your October daily, please hop over to the Q-4 Sign Up thread on the Challenges board. For you OD planners, here are the prompts, which I picked up from Angie Cruise's LIFESTYLE that MATTERS blog. Gratitude Journal Prompts: 30 Days of Gratitude a person I’m grateful to have in my life something I find comfort in my favorite part of the morning my favorite memory an accomplishment I’m proud of a hidden blessing in a difficult situation an opportunity I’m grateful for my favorite song (& why) a life lesson I have learned the biggest gift in my life right now a future event I’m excited about some positive news I’ve received recently my favorite area in my home a memory that makes me smile something beautiful I saw today my favorite part of the evening my guilty pleasure one good thing that happened today how I show gratitude for my friends something I love about a family member something positive about my body a challenge I’m grateful for a compliment that made me feel good the best gift I’ve ever received the item I treasure most the people who mean the most to me my favorite part about nature something that made me laugh today a book I loved reading a freedom I’m grateful for.

We really won the kitten lottery with him. You literally have... the cat in the hat! He sounds adorable and is definitely the perfect kitten for your household after you loss. I'm so glad you found each other. MOAR costumes and MOAR photos now! I feel awful. The achy bones. Oh noes! I hope it passes quickly. The full body aches are no fun. Buuuuut... that can only mean one thing: you must stay in bed. And thus watch spooky craft videos. And get a bowl of soup delivered to you. With crackers. PS: Is your cat even real? It's the fluff + the super markings + the grumpiness. Looks like a high end plush toy, I swear! Extra dramatic royalty vibes. PPS: Congrats on your booster! I'm super jelly. Shan't tell you about B.2.75.2 that is worrying epidemiologists all around the world right now (oh yeah, here we go with an ultra resistant immunity escaper).

Cats of all kinds AND puffy stickers?!? This is absolutely the best place in the internet *swoon*
I assembled my junk journal pages tonight- in addition to a mix of Hey Pumpkin, Luna, and Witch Hazel papers I mixed in an Addams family napkin, a Dollar Store owl card, pages from childrens books, a Bingo card, an owl illustration from a wildlife book, a postcard about the healing properties of a type of stone, and a handmade piece of paper. I’m sure I’m forgetting some, but that’s the general idea. I’m excited to take some time this weekend to paint, stamp, emboss, and play with some mix media stuff to make some backgrounds and start building on the foundation.
I’m thinking about my October bucket list- really want to make PopTart haunted houses using the cookies and cream ones or chocolate flavored ones that are dark brown. Also thinking about having a backyard bonfire. I bought tickets for my 10 year old and I to go kayaking at night at the local state park during the new moon the week of Halloween. What’s everyone else planning?

Our October activities; At least one pumpkin patch Visit Halloweentown Witches Tea Party Dinner and mad scientist elixir experience at Raven’s Manor Lots of Halloween movies at local movie theater (Nightmare, Hocus Pocus for sure, what ever other scary movies align with out schedule) Lots of spooky recipes Haunted House kit from Target Haunted cookies for my nephew dog (another kit from Target) And one of my favorite activities- the All Night Horrorthon at our local theater. They show 4 movies and you have no idea what they will be. Between movies they have amazing trailers for terrible horror movies, coffee and Voodoo doughnuts. Last year they had a hearse turned coffee mobile there too. It is always super fun and the movies are fantastic or fantastically terrible. I look forward to it so much.
I will also be of course documenting Fritz in his assortment of Halloween costumes and anything I can get on Boo or near Pippin.

SOOOOO much to catch up on. Page 7 is the best. I'm feeling back to normal today and popping on before work. I spent all day yesterday watching In the Dark and Halloween crafty videos. here is who I have been watching for inspiration: Thank you for this list! They are all open in my tabs to watch tonight. I'm particularly in love with the cat paper puppet. Isn't it cute? If you want the file, PM me your email. I didn't like it's original head so I found another one. I measured the original head then made the new head the same size. I'm going to use lace or something where his collar is. There's no other place like 2PR for scrappy folks. I agree! Just stay away from the NSBR board. OMG. Learned my lesson there. But this group is the best. Awesome. Someone actually mentioned her in a video I was watching yesterday so I'm glad you sent this link. Gratitude Journal Prompts: 30 Days of Gratitude Excellent! Thanks. I will not be doing an album in November but I'll use these for both October and December. Ha! Yes. We've had her for about 4 years now. She showed up one day after her owner moved out and abandoned her. She used to be an outside cat but she is totally content to stay inside. She's very photogenic but also super angry. She hates the black cat with a passion unrivaled. I bought her the vampire cape and she'll keep it on long enough for photos. here is my finished paper bag: Love it! really want to make PopTart haunted houses I have NEVER heard of these so I'm off to search. I can't eat chocolate anymore and all of the house kits are chocolate so this might be our workaround. My daughter is finally getting into the Fall spirit and wants to make a house. Thank you all for keeping me sane yesterday while I could hear the inside of my bones screaming. My arm still hurts a bit but no big deal. I feel lucky I was able to get the booster. Not looking forward to being indoors for the next few months.

There is no confirmation of the return of the retro Halloween pails, US Peas. I'm hoping no firm denial from McD's in the past couple of weeks means it's true but don't get your hopes up too high. Plenty of American Halloween lovers are calling for some kind of emotional caution on these.
Please consider giving the food you won't be eating to a homeless person nearby as you drive away from McD's with your Halloween goodies. Pick the fresh fruit dessert option and water bottle instead of soda. Fresh fruit is a real treat for them, especially during recession/inflation times when it has become even more expensive.

I agree, I don't think the buckets are really happening, October 18th is way too late in the game for starters. When I get the meals for a toy I have them pack up the meal in its own bag so I don't have to rifle through someone else's food before giving it away. I also order the hamburger without onions in case the person I want to give it to has a canine companion. I don't eat the happy meals, so I always get them to give away.
