Wait, what?! Why did I think you were British? Are you sure? (😆) My (pea) life has been a lie. Lol, I live in the UK, moved here for a year or so, decades ago, ended up getting married and staying. It's a interesting feeling, being close to all this history being made but being on the sideline so to speak. I love history so I find it fascinating and all these events won't be repeated in my lifetime, death of a monarch, state funeral, coronation etc.

You can see the moment as a painting on the wall of the National Gallery.

I didn’t know Prince William was left handed. How awkward that was! They had to keep moving the blooming ink well!

I’m glad I caught some of that. How fascinating it was. I must watch it all shortly.
Penny Mordaunt looked like she’d been doing that forever.

King Charles has had those inkwells moved off the table Apparently the inkwell was a gift from William and Harry and the King chose to have it there!

Unfortunately the presenter didn’t give any more details. They were discussing the fact that it kept getting moved! The presenter is Tom Bradbury who happens to be friends with William and Harry. He did the engagement interview for William and Catherine and also accompanied Harry and Megan on their African tour.

I thought I’d done crying for the day but I’ve now just heard that the quote from Hamlet, at the end of the King’s speech, was also used in the lyrics of the song which was sung when Princess Diana’s cortège left Westminster Abbey at her funeral. Song for Athene May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I don't know if this is something that happened earlier or just now, but they had her other children and grandchildren looking at the flowers at the Balmoral gates. Her grand daughters looked especially upset and teary.

Very moving scenes at Balmoral. Most of the Royal Family are still there. They have attended a prayer service at the local church and walked back to the castle so they could see the people and also read the condolences on the many floral tributes. The Queen’s grandchildren were visibly moved and comforted each other. King Charles and Prince William have spent today doing official duties. I do wonder how Harry is feeling right at this moment, on his own in Windsor.

I think there is a service in Edinburgh (Scotland) tomorrow which the Royal family will attend before the Queen’s coffin is flown down to London.

Not British, but originally from the far reaches of the Commonwealth - Australia. Since we’ve been living in Germany, my main English news source has been the BBC, so I am generally up with British news.

How far are they planning to walk!? The crowds go on for ages and Catherine is wearing high high heels. They are really engaging with everyone they greet.

William invited them to participate. I'm a bit surprised they accepted but not surprised that William is a class act. I hope Meghan curtsied as per protocol.
