Shimelle class? No response **Update!**

Shimelle is a curious case.

I've bought classes from her and all has gone quite smoothlessly for me but I have also known someone on the board to struggle for every class I've gotten.

She was a Garden Girl but from all accounts, she kept her nose clean and kept away from the GG drama.

She has been around forever and has remained an incredible teacher but she hasn't moved along with the major changes in online content offerings and is still a dinosaur (with big dino problems) when it comes to the bulk of her earnings, paid-for classes (she should really move on from the classes being accessible through a forum she manages manually, account by account).

So, oh yvonne 's struggle is very much real at this point. Let's solve this for her. Clearly, there's a spam folder issue or something along those lines. Can someone WITH working stencil class access leave a message here so oh yvonne can DM them the address email she's using for Shimelle's board and a quick recap of the situation with the dates + Paypal transaction n° for her purchase? That way, the Pea who has gotten through to Shimelle for this most recent class can email Shimelle and ask to solve oh yvonne 's massive problem. Let's just get this over with and put an end to the madness.

While I think it was crappy of companies to contact you here not this board, if memory serves me correctly, you were backed up by peas saying that was not cool of the company to do that.

As for your your #2 and #3, I'm going to be honest and say this as nicely as possible.  I think you have a bit too thin of skin in a lot of instances.  If I'm not mistaken, you've even deleted your account and come back because of said thin skin because I can't recall something too horrible happening to you. If I'm wrong and something horrible happened and I missed it please let me know so I can retract my statement.

Frankly, you have every right to call out "beloved" companies for crappy service on this message board.  I like that so I know who to stay away from.  Hell, I will shout from every rooftop for peas not to shop at PaperTrey Ink or at a minimum shop as buyer beware.  

If peas were hand slapping me in PMs, I sure as hell would make those public.  Any pea that does not have the guts to post a handslap publicly should not be doing it in private.

My response to the ACOT issue was along the lines of great CS but I do see how for some and you that it was an invasion of privacy.

I shop both ACOT and SB because they carry what I have and go between the two. I am not bowing down to one or the other.

I do appreciate when peas share so I know who to avoid. Money is tight these days with paying off medical formula debt and trying to save money in case we do have to pay out of pocket. So when I spend money, it needs to be worth it in ever way possible.

So don't ever not share. It really is appreciated!

I do not want to derail this thread, but I want to add that I too had issues with ACOT and thusly will never purchase from them again. Besides the issue I had with my order, I found him to be snitty behind the scenes when I didn’t answer a PM as quickly as he wanted. FYI: not everyone logs into this forum multiple times daily, or for that matter, even on a daily basis 🙄

Back to Shimelle…. And I like sleepingbooty’s idea to get Shimelle’s eyes on this issue. If all the peas who now have access to their class emailed on the OP’s behalf, maybe this could finally be put to bed.

Oh totally agree. Like I said they crossed that line.

This made me laugh...good for you, in the best possible way. Maybe if I am here 20 years I will will feel that way. I willingly admit that this is the first message board I have ever been on and I am constantly shocked at how people go bonkers over stuff and what is said back and forth. Like sitting at my computer with my mouth hanging open shocked. So yeah, I am sure it is just me and my thin skin lol...and tight panties, ouch!

I do recall a Pea defending them, but because I know this Pea away from 2Peas, I know they are friends IRL with the company owners. I do not think she would ever want to hurt another Pea, intentionally. She was just close to the other people involved and wanted to defend her friend.

Hi, you're welcome to review my post history - I have not and will not share anyone's name or other personally identifiable information. That's something that I take seriously and want to be very clear on. I remember talk of another time that happened with someone else, so maybe there was a misunderstanding on who was involved.

I also want to take the chance to say that I/we at ACOT welcome any feedback or criticism that anyone would like to post here and that I don't condone harassing any Peas for sharing their experience. We're a company full of humans and we make mistakes, so there are certainly times we deserve to be called out.

Some of us have been with Shimelle since the beginning and know/understand.  I’m kinda like Shimelle myself.  Never on time. Terrible with deadlines. Have so many UFOs. Sign up and pay for classes that I really don’t have time for.  My expectations for ANY paid class is low.  JMHO. I’m never going to access any class when it first releases. Classes get done on my time. My life/days constantly change. However, if a teacher is looking to attract new paid participants they should make a better effort to make it happen.  I’ll never stop getting shimelle’s classes.  She does provide so much content. The stencil class is awesome! As was the stamping class. I love making my own stuff. IMO I think people are taking this a bit too far. Life is short. Find the sunny side😀

I don’t think Shimelle is alone in this.  I took a Summit last week and the final video has not been posted due to life getting in the way.  It took a week for this communication to get posted. (Communication took a week. Not the video.)

And there is a very big online scrapbook store that I avoid whenever possible.  They have a certain way of screwing me. It’s like I’m on their hit list. Red flagged to mess up something.  I’ve pretty much given up on them.  I’ll stick with SSS.  They treat me well😀. They are my sunny side 😀
