Yup, all pre recorded videos for this one. The first class she offered, the stamping one, all four videos went live at the same time. For the second class, stencils, the videos went up one at a time over a few days if I recall correctly. I am not sure what she plans to post this weekend, but I am excited to see some new content.
Oh, and she posted it to Instagram as a story, so her message announcing this will only be around for 24 hours.

Who Hoo! She had added that one to my class thread quite awhile ago. Looking forward to seeing some new classes! Shimelle just posted on Instagram that the Use What You Buy: Bold Patterned Paper class should be available this weekend. A lot of people were granted free access to this class if you joined the stencils one, so hopefully some new content is coming soon! Wondering if she means she is starting to record the first classes this upcoming weekend? Or if it will be available. Also wondering if this will be just the first of the series? Or maybe the whole block of classes will drop into the thread? |

Or maybe the whole block of classes will drop into the thread? She mentioned in one of her recent lives that the class would be uploaded and available for us to watch this coming weekend. From the way she was talking I expect it to be the four lessons all visible this weekend. |

Okay, so I just bought the Bold Patterns class. I've only done one class previously, and I can't remember what happens next. How does she know that *I* have paid, and how to give me access? I didn't log in anywhere, just paid my $5 via PayPal. Is the fact that my PayPal account is my email address how she knows?
ETA: Ugh, and now I can't log into the forums using the username and password that I used back in May when I did the Scrap a Rainbow class.
ETA again: Pfffft, I clicked on the "Forgot Password" button and get the error message: The email/username information submitted could not be found.
Do you lose access after a while? And then have to set up again for new classes?

You shouldn't lose access, I would email her about the password issue because clicking forgot password doesn't work on the website if I remember correctly? If she doesn't contact you via email in a decent amount of time, send her a message via Facebook or Instagram or Youtube. |

But the new class is only $5, so not a big deal. |

Haven't chosen papers yet, but have printed her sample page will have this in mind as I pack up some page kits. Loved seeing her son a little older than in some of her other classes. |

I watched the first video as well and enjoyed the final layout. I have two potential paper options for this one in mind, so hopefully I can put something together later today.
Shimelle also had a live session this morning, and I really like the stenciled background she made. I am hoping to scraplift that too.
And just a quick note: at the end of this morning's live session, she said video #2 for the bold paper class should be going up later today. Then videos #3 and #4 will release Tuesday and Wednesday.

She uses the mixed media background in this one, and I love the resulting layout. She shares a lot of information about colors, paper stacking, and mixed media all in one 20 minute video, too.

I think I figured out one of the reasons I am so drawn to her style as I was watching the video and listening to her talk about these things. It really reminds me of when I scrapbooked in the early 2000's, like maybe 2005-2012 or so, before I got so so into having the "correct" paper. She is scrapping photos of her child's dance class and normally I would think "You need DANCE paper!" but I need to get out of that mindset and back into the frame of mind when I used to use Basic Grey, and other papers like that and just chose paper that I liked instead of being so theme-y. She really bring it back to the color, the paper, and distills it down to design elements which is what I love. I really got caught up in the "lake photos need lake paper" "prom photos need prom paper" mentality and I need to move away from that. |

That's why I love her videos too. I like hearing why she is making the choices she is on her layouts, and Shimelle always explains things so thoroughly, in my opinion.
And I agree, she is helping me branch out and use themed collections in different ways or not use them at all, too. I love being able to stretch my stash now.
